Chapter 914: Chapter 914: Revenge on the Unfamiliar Visitor (4)

Having eaten their fill, Xin Er slumped in her chair, contentedly rubbing her bulging belly as she said, "Sis, how about we don’t sell those fish and just keep them to eat slowly?"

The others heard this and all turned their eyes to Mo Yan. While they were eating the fish, they thought how nice it would be to have such fish every day, but they were too shy to voice this unrealistic desire.

Mo Yan could easily read their minds and chuckled, "Those fish trapped in the net can’t forage and will soon grow thin from hunger, then they won’t taste as nice! Besides, if I let you eat them every day, before long you’d probably feel sick at the sight of fish."

Xin Er said despondently, "But these fish really are delicious, even better than the ones from the market or caught in the river."

Seeing that the girl really loved this fish, Mo Yan thought for a moment and said, "Old Man Ding said the fish can be drawn twice more. We’ll sell all but those reserved as gifts from the first two catches, and from the last catch we’ll keep some to make dried fish. Even without the freshness, they should have a different charm."

"Good, let’s turn them into dried fish so we can have delicious fish to eat even in winter." No sooner had she finished speaking than Xin Er immediately voiced her agreement, and the others also thought it was a good idea. Dried fish, once well-prepared, would taste just as good as fresh ones.

Mo Yan was about to say something with a smile when Xue Tuanzi’s voice came into her mind, "Yanyan, why go through such trouble, when I can just dig a pond in the Space and you can raise the fish there?"

Mo Yan’s eyes lit up and she asked, "They can be raised in the Space? But won’t the Spiritual Energy in the Spirit Spring Water cause the fish to burst from overfeeding?"

"Why don’t you just use normal water? Yanyan, you’re really too silly!" Xue Tuanzi’s voice was full of disdain.

Mo Yan smacked her forehead, how could she not have thought of that? Raising the fish in the Space would mean they could eat them whenever they wanted, which would be incredibly convenient!

Mo Yan urged Xue Tuanzi to hurry up and dig the pond, planning to divert river water from the Xiaoqing River into the Space later. When the fish were drawn next time, she would throw a few female fish with roe into it. In no time at all, they’d have fish to eat.

After resting at noontime, Xue Tuanzi had finished digging the pond, ready to be filled. Mo Yan came to the edge of the Xiaoqing River carrying a wooden bucket and saw two dogs guarding the fishing net wagging their tails and scampering out from under the tree shade. She smiled and stroked their heads, pulling out two roasted wild rabbits from the Space, "Good dogs, eat up!"

"Woof woof!"

The delicious scent of the roasted wild rabbits instantly captured the dogs’ attention, and after barking twice at their owner, they grabbed the roasted rabbits in front of them and ran under the shade of the trees to feast.

Mo Yan didn’t bother with them; she quickly walked to the river’s edge and squatted down to dip her right hand into the water, whereupon a vortex the size of a bowl appeared in her palm, even sucking in a few strands of grass from the riverbank.

Luckily, no one was nearby at that moment, otherwise the sight might have scared them witless.

The water entered the Space and was guided into the pond by Xue Tuanzi. The pond was small, only about a quarter acre, and it took Mo Yan half an hour to fill it.

Xue Tuanzi set up a formation around the pond to prevent the water from seeping into the ground, which would have made the vast land in the Space difficult to flood even in three days and nights due to its strong absorbency.

Before going home, Mo Yan scooped out seven big fish from the net. Six were thrown into the pond in the Space to be grilled for the Six Beasts in the evening, and the remaining one was taken home to make fried fish chunks.

Halfway home, Mo Yan saw Tang Xin running anxiously towards her. A jolt of worry hit her, fearing something had happened at home, so she quickly went to meet her, "Tang Xin, is something wrong at home?"
