Hearing this, the girl was practically beside herself with rage but couldn’t find any words to retort. In her urgency, she yanked her companion from behind and said through gritted teeth, "Qing Mu, go... go and tear that wretch’s mouth for me!"

The girl called Qing Mu obviously hadn’t expected to be suddenly pulled out like this and was too late to avoid it, her still delicate face unexpectedly revealed to everyone present.

"Erni? Are you Erni?" Wu’s was the first to exclaim. She took a couple of steps forward, staring intently at the silent woman, and asked with some uncertainty.

Upon hearing this, everyone else turned their gazes in that direction, and when they recognized the familiar features, they cried out in shock, just like Wu’s.

Seeing this, the woman looked around in a panic, first at Wu’s and the others, then at the person she considered her follower, and asked with an ugly expression, "Qing Mu, do you know these lowlifes?"

Qing Mu quickly shook her head, pleadingly explaining, "What are you talking about, Sister Qiuyue? How could I possibly know these worthless people?"

Qiuyue eyed her skeptically, not fully convinced, "You really don’t know them? Then why did you encourage me to get these two bolts of cloth? Could it be you harbored a grudge against them and acted out of spite?"

Having her thoughts so openly voiced, Qing Mu’s face stiffened, a flash of fear in her eyes, before she pretended to be on the brink of tears, "Sister Qiuyue, it’s the truth! All I did was think those two bolts of cloth were pretty and would compliment your beauty, so I wanted you to have them. I never expected... I never expected that it would lead to a misunderstanding..."

Qiuyue, flattered, and seeing Qing Mu seemed genuine, let the small suspicion in her heart disappear and commanded imperiously, "It’s simple if you don’t know them. Go on, go and tear that wretch’s mouth for me. If you handle this matter well, I’ll speak well of you to the young lady."

Upon hearing this, Qing Mu concealed the joy in her eyes and quickly said, "Helping you is what I should do, Sister Qiuyue. I wouldn’t dream of troubling you with such things. I will now seek justice for you!"

With that, she really did stretch out her hand, sharp nails at the ready, and lunged quickly toward Mo Yan, her eyes brimming with intense hatred.
