"Dad, we have too much furniture at home, it has to be moved over in advance. On the sixth of August, our whole family will move in directly, so these next few days you just prepare the things we need for moving. Leave the moving of the furniture to me."

After lunch in the still standing grass shed, Mo Yan shared her plans with Mo Qingze.

"Hmm, Dad will go and ask the elders in the village later to see what needs to be prepared for moving. However, we’ll be hosting guests on the twelfth of August to warm the house, and we should decide whom to invite. Do you have anyone in mind that you specifically want to invite?"

Mo Qingze had been concerned about this matter. To have a successful housewarming, the more guests, the better—but with over a hundred families and a thousand people in Liu Yang Village, if everyone was invited, even with a spacious house, it would not accommodate so many people.

After some thought, Mo Yan decided that people like Lin Yong, who were on good terms with her family and had helped out a lot, definitely needed to be invited.

Aunt Cai, Xiong’s and the others should be invited too, as well as Zhang Dayou and another eleven who had helped take care of the greenhouses.

The village head was a must-invite, as was the Mo Family’s Clan Leader. As for the other members of the Mo clan, they should be informed as well, but whether or not they came was up to them.

Liu Tinglan, her good friend, had long wanted to visit Liu Yang Village during her housewarming, so she was also on the invite list.

As for the Punishing Shopkeeper and Owner Mu, whether to invite them required some thought. After counting, there didn’t seem to be many people to invite, but it was enough to have a lively housewarming.

Mo Qingze felt that Mo Yan’s proposal was about right. Inviting villagers who were not close might mean they would feel obliged to bring a gift, and if the gesture wasn’t heartfelt, it would be better not to invite them at all.
