Chapter 131: Chapter 131: Enter the Mountain, Encounter Again (2)_1

Mo Yan, "..."

With an expressionless face, she stored away the Plum Deer. Mo Yan no longer had the energy to criticize the excessive enthusiasm of a certain creature and couldn’t be bothered to deal with it anymore. She took a hoe out of Space and began squatting down to dig for herbs.

That’s right, digging for herbs! Whether it was the Feng Shui of this ravine that was exceptional or not, the slopes on both sides were teeming with herbs. Although they were just common ones like coptis, atractylodes, and astragalus, when used in the right place, there was no distinction between precious and common.

After Space expanded in her previous life, Mo Yan planted many herbs, as common as Honeysuckle and as precious as Ginseng Lingzhi. Later, her family even started a pharmaceutical factory, with nearly all the herbs coming from Space, which, due to their strong efficacy, were widely favored by consumers and bolstered the reputation of Mo’s Pharmaceuticals.

Mo Yan only picked the longer-aged herbs to dig up, just dozens of plants of each kind. These, once planted in Space, would soon grow into a large patch.

Unnoticed, Little Flower finally acted normally. Seeing Mo Yan digging up these strange "weeds," curiosity flickered in her eyes. Then, with excitement, she started pawing at the ground. When she managed to dig up some herbs, she would clutch them in her mouth and happily spit them out in front of Mo Yan.

Looking at the battered herbs, Mo Yan’s eyes twitched as she tossed them into Space, otherwise this idiot would keep at it with her.

When she had dug up a fair amount of herbs, Mo Yan packed away the hoe and followed the stream uphill, with Little Flower eagerly running ahead to lead the way, stopping every so often to wait for her.

For Little Flower, this was like flat ground, but for Mo Yan, it was quite a challenging trek. Fortunately, she found plenty more herbs along the way, ensuring that today’s harvest was quite fruitful.

It wasn’t until Mo Yan reached an upstream area full of rugged rocks with no place to leverage that she had to climb up using hanging vines, wandering through the jungle in search of useful plants.

The pair had ventured deep into the jungle, deeper than Mo Yan’s first foray into the mountains the previous year. The dense canopy overhead blocked out much of the light, allowing only slivers of sunlight to penetrate, making the forest seem somewhat sinister and frightening.

"Little Flower, there aren’t any dangers here, right?" Still haunted by the fear from her first encounter with a pack of wolves, Mo Yan asked Little Flower with some concern.

Little Flower lifted her wolf head, sniffing the wind, then blinked her wolf eyes and let out a low howl twice, continuing forward with a raised foot, signaling that there was no danger.

Assuming there were no large predators nearby, Mo Yan followed behind Little Flower with peace of mind.

However, she was too quick to relax. When she saw a pair of eyes shining with a green glow, glaring at them intently from not far away, Mo Yan couldn’t help but curse fiercely, "You trickster!"

Looking wronged, Little Flower whimpered and rubbed her massive wolf head pitifully against Mo Yan’s thigh, while keeping a vigilant eye on the nearby beast. She growled threateningly, with every hair on her neck standing erect, ready for battle.

Mo Yan felt like luck was not on her side, encountering wolves with each trip into the mountains. Fortunately, this time she had Little Flower with her. However, the wolf facing them was clearly two sizes larger than Little Flower. If it came to a fight, the pampered Little Flower was certainly no match.

With this in mind, she patted Little Flower on the head and pointed to the palm of her right hand, saying, "Try not to fight, we can go into Space."

In saying this, Mo Yan’s concern for Little Flower shone through, not wanting her to get hurt. Unfortunately, she hadn’t considered the wolf’s sense of pride at all.

Little Flower understood her immediately and felt a blow to her pride. Consequently, after a high-pitched howl, she charged toward her opponent like a streak of white light at breakneck speed. Mo Yan could only see a blur.

The other wolf, observing Little Flower’s charge, flashed a hint of disdain in its human-like eyes. It didn’t even consider defending itself and simply lifted its paw, slapping towards Little Flower, who aimed to bite its neck.

What seemed to be a light swipe apparently posed no trouble for Little Flower—that’s what she thought, and that’s what Mo Yan thought as well.

But in the next instant, Little Flower’s robust wolf body was flung away as if by sheer force, tumbling on the ground before coming to a stop after a couple of rolls.

Mo Yan hurried over, anxious to check for injuries, but Little Flower quickly got up with a scrape of her paws, issuing a low, threatening growl with her long wolf jaws, revealing sharp teeth that seemed capable of piercing through the opponent’s flesh with a single bite.

Seeing this, Mo Yan knew that Little Flower, with her proud nature, would never tolerate the humiliation of being flipped by a wolf’s paw. This grudge had become serious!

Indeed, Little Flower attacked again with lightning speed, biting not at the wolf’s neck but at its hind legs...
