Chapter 1162: Chapter 369: Reaction, Beekeeping_3

Mo Yan was in a bit of a panic, and her letter to Xiao Ruiyuan ended up revealing a little of her turmoil. As a result, the next day, a very extraordinary matchmaker appeared at her door, having been hired by Xiao Ruiyuan for a hefty sum to assist Mo Yan.

This matchmaker was no ordinary one, specializing in serving wealthy families and was streets ahead of regular matchmakers in terms of experience. Having been well-compensated, she naturally worked with dedication and care. Saying she was there to help Mo Yan, she effectively managed all matters herself, and once finished, would report back to Mo Yan, who, having no objections, would follow the arrangements made.

Thus, Mo Yan was able to relax and found herself visiting the winery more often.

The winery had been in need of a master gardener, and Mo Yan had mentioned this to Yan Junyu, asking him to find someone reliable. However, Xiao Ruiyuan learned of this and quickly arranged for two masters to come over.

These two masters were the same ones whom he had sent Xiao Eleven to Jiangnan to invite for orchestrating the General Mansion’s layout. The layout of the General Mansion had been halted due to heavy snowfall and was completed after the snow melted. Since Mo Yan’s winery was short-handed and Xiao Ruiyuan had requested, the two masters agreed to help out.

After examining the drawings that Mo Yan had meticulously created, they found some aspects unsatisfactory, but there were also novel and intriguing elements. Upon their arrival, they eagerly discussed her designs, and once the final draft was settled, they and their crew set to work.

The winery was too large, and the work took much longer than it had for the General Mansion. According to the masters, it would take at least half a year to complete. Mo Yan had waited years, so another half year didn’t matter to her—her only demand was that the results had to be excellent.

True to their reputation as top figures in the world of gardening, the masters’ craft was extraordinary. In just half a month, they transformed a small corner of the design into something so captivating that Mo Yan couldn’t be more pleased and confidently left them to manage the rest of the project.

On this day, which happened to be a day of rest, the Mo family took cooking gear and ingredients for a picnic in the orchard behind the mountain.

The end of March and early April offered the most comfortable weather, not only pleasant in climate but the bounty of fresh flowers and tender grass everywhere was especially refreshing. The Mo Family’s twenty or so orchards were set amidst a sea of flowers, attracting countless bees and butterflies.

"With so many flowers and so many bees, imagine the amount of honey produced. If our family were to keep bees and make honey on this mountain, we’d probably have more than we could ever eat," Zhenzhen said, her eyes gleaming at the sight of the buzzing bees collecting nectar as if piles of golden, sweet honey were already before her.

Xin Er lightly smacked his head, a look of disdain on her face, "It’s always about eating with you. Why don’t you follow these bees to their hives? Then you could eat all the honey you find."

Before Zhenzhen could retort, Shengsheng softly chimed in, "Sister Xin Er, honey is so sweet and delicious. Shengsheng likes it too, and don’t you love the honey citrus water Sister Yan makes?"

Soft and tender Shengsheng was the treasure of the family; Xin Er liked to bicker with Zhenzhen but couldn’t bear to speak harshly to Shengsheng. Seeing the yearning expression on her little face, Xin Er suggested to her sister, "How about we also keep some bee hives at home? Then, we could enjoy pure honey. The store-bought honey mixed with water always tastes a bit too bland."

Hearing this, Mo Yan had another idea and started communicating with Xuetuan in her mind, "There are so many fruit trees in Space and plenty of flowering medicinal plants, too. If we could raise bees for honey in Space, it would undoubtedly taste wonderful. How about I find a few hives in the mountains later and keep them in Space?"

Without a second thought, Xuetuan refused, "No way! These ordinary bees won’t develop Spiritual Wisdom, and they’ll be all over Space, driving me nuts. And if one of them stings me, who will I complain to?"

Mo Yan fell silent for a moment, but the thought of honey filled with Spiritual Energy didn’t settle down: "Space is so big, you can set aside a section and create a barrier as their range. Just plant some trees and sprinkle flower and grass seeds inside for them to collect nectar. They won’t bother you if they’re contained within that area."

After some thought, Xuetuan still disagreed and suggested, "Those fruit trees have Spiritual Energy, and you’ve been watering them with Spirit Spring Water. The resulting flowers will also have Spiritual Energy. If you keep bees outside, you can still get honey with Spiritual Energy. Isn’t it good enough to keep them outdoors?"
