After receiving the message to go to the second floor, Wu Lixuan grabbed her bag and took the stairs for a quicker ascent rather than waiting for the elevator.

Upon reaching the second floor, she stood at the entrance to the cardiology ward, waiting for her friend to arrive.

“Hey, isn’t that Yingying’s friend?” called Li Qi’an, emerging from the doctors’ office and seeing the two.

“Hello, Doctor Li,” Wu Lixuan said, grasping the lifeline like a drowning person, rushing over to her childhood friend’s classmate.

“What are you doing in the cardiology department?” Li Qi’an asked her.

“Yingying mentioned that there’s a girl whose family won’t provide her medical treatment. I know friends from the Charity Foundation, so I came over first to understand the situation and see if I could offer some help,” Wu Lixuan explained.

“You are truly a good person,” Li Qi’an said joyfully, “I originally thought you were just a tea seller.”

“I am indeed just a tea seller, but perhaps I know a few more businesspeople than you doctors do,” Wu Lixuan smiled.

Li Qi’an noticed Yin Fengchun approaching from behind her and greeted him, “Doctor Yin.”

“You canceled the meeting with urology, right?” Yin Fengchun asked.

“Yes. It’s Lin Hao’s patient,” Li Qi’an turned and called out to his classmate, “Lin Hao–urology’s professor is here.”

Lin Hao, who was at the computer working on medical records, turned around and replied, “I’ll go call Doctor Zhuang.”

He was an intern, working under his teacher.

Doctor Zhuang hurried over, surprised to see Yin Fengchun: “Why are you here?”
