Chapter 91: Identity revealed
Chapter 91: Identity revealed
The battle raged on beneath the reinforced bunker, but the High Priest’s wrath was no longer the primary concern of the Khorne cult. His vision, once focused on the endless slaughter and brutal rituals of devotion, was now shattered by the sudden and overwhelming assault.
The mechanical projectile, the thunderous explosion, and the unstoppable force of Six’s Power Armored drones had turned the ritual ground into a killing field.
As the Khorne cultists fought fiercely, their chaotic war cries blending with the roar of battle, the High Priest’s cold eyes glimmered with a mix of fury and calculation. His shoulder throbbed, the wound from the axe now a mere inconvenience compared to the satisfaction of adding yet another body to the blood-drenched pile.
"Let the fuckers come."
He muttered, wiping blood from his goggles with a metallic hand, his voice steady despite the carnage unfolding around him.
"Let the Blood God decide."
The High Priest, enraged by the treacherous attack and the sudden invasion, raised his hand, signaling for his most devoted followers to form a protective barrier around him. His golden robotic hands crackled with dark energy as he called upon the power of the warp.
The air grew thick with the stench of blood and brimstone as the power of Khorne surged through him. The surviving cultists, fueled by the chaotic energy, fought with renewed vigor, their eyes burning with the madness of the battle-hungry deity they served.
But the unexpected arrival of the Power Armored drones had caught him off guard, and the once-celebratory atmosphere turned to one of grim realization. The cultists, despite their devotion, were no match for the advanced technology now bearing down upon them.
The High Priest’s eyes narrowed, the mechanical components of his face twisting in a grimace of both rage and strategy. The blood had been spilled, but this battle was far from over.
"My pretty minions! Slaughter them! For Me! For the great Khorne!!!"
He bellowed, his voice amplified by his cybernetic enhancements. His words fueled the bloodlust of the remaining cultists, some of whom had been emboldened by the chance to die in combat, but even their fury could not overcome the strength of the Power Armor’s drones unrelenting assault.
As the cultists desperately closed in, swinging axes and crude weapons, the Power Armored fighters dispatched them with surgical precision, ripping through their ranks without pause. Blood sprayed across the walls, the sacred ground of the ritual now stained with the sacred blood of both the victors and the vanquished.
The High Priest stood tall amidst the chaos, his golden hands curling into fists.
"Why won’t these fucks just drop dead!"
he growled, his words shaking the air. The hum of energy weapons and the clash of steel reverberated in his ears, but still, his focus remained razor-sharp.
Then, with a growl, he swung his own weapon, a massive war blade gleaming with a deadly glow, into the path of a charging Power Armored drone. The clash echoed through the bunker, and for a moment, time seemed to stretch as the High Priest met his first opponent head-on.
Will the High Priest’s fury drive him to victory, or will the cold, efficient might of his armored enemies bring an end to the blood-soaked ritual?
_______________
Six’s helmet scanned the carnage, stood still, perched in a commanding position just beyond the entrance. His massive armored form seemed like a harbinger of doom, the thudding of his footsteps drowned out by the chaos unfolding below.
The Power Armors gleamed under the flickering lights of the ritual space, the firepower they carried turning cultists into crimson stains across the blood-soaked ground.
The High Priest, struggling to regain his composure amidst the drones he destroyed, turned to face the invaders, his golden robotic hands tightening into fists. His mohawk bristled with fury as his cybernetic gaze locked onto Six.
"You dumb shits! You dare to desecrate my sacred ground, yah fucks?"
The High Priest’s voice roared with unyielding authority, his body brimming with the energy of Khorne himself, calling upon the strength of his blood-soaked faith.
But Six, standing motionless, observed the chaos unfold. His voice, distorted and cold through his helmet’s speakers, broke the silence.
"No, Priest, you have desecrated my world. The time of your bloodthirsty rituals ends now."
The Power Armored drones, programmed with brutal efficiency, continued cutting down the remaining cultists with swift, clinical precision.
Every swing and fire of their weapons was like a death sentence, their movements perfectly coordinated in a deadly dance. The High Priest snarled, swinging his mighty war axe, but Six was already moving, his own chainsword raised in a swift, flawless arc.
The two collided in a clash of steel, sparks flying as the High Priest’s war axe met the solid blade of Six’s weapon. The force of the impact sent shockwaves through the chamber, rattling bones and metal alike. But Six, with his superior strength and experience, met the High Priest’s fury with cold precision.
"You-you-you, think you can stand against me?"
The High Priest spat, his mechanized fists tightening, and he brought his cybernetic-enhanced arm up for another strike.
Six’s response was simple—a brutal strike, cutting through the Priest’s defense and sending the High Priest reeling. In one fluid motion, Six disarmed the Priest, sending his war axe clattering to the ground. The High Priest, now disarmed and bloodied, glared up with defiance.
"This is my world, you cyclops dick!"
Six declared, stepping forward, his Power Armor practically radiating menace.
With a final, swift movement, Six swung his blade downward, trying to sever the High Priest’s head from his shoulders.
The cultists, watching in stunned silence, finally fell into an uneasy stillness. Their god, Khorne, may demand blood—but it would be Six who would decide where it was spilled.
But the outcome wasn’t what Six had expected. His face, stunned in shock beneath the helmet, reflected his disbelief. He spoke again, this time filled with trepidation, as the High Priest’s psychic power stopped his chainsword.
"How in the hell are you doing this, freak?"
The High Priest, his robotic eyes gleaming with malicious intent, responded with a sinister laugh.
"Fuck you shrimp dick. You don’t know what you’re dealing with! The Skull Throne shall be fed this day!"
With a flick of his wrist, the High Priest unleashed a fireball toward Six. Although he managed to deflect it with his Blaze Luminous, the blast sent him hurtling through the air, causing the fireball to ricochet and set several cultists ablaze.
The bunker quickly transformed into a chaotic battlefield, filled with the clash of steel and the roar of gunfire reverberating off the walls. The Power Armor drones, though fewer in number, were relentless in their assault.
Their programming and strength created a stark contrast to the frenzied chaos of the Khorne worshippers. However, they were reduced to molten steel, as they were primarily T-51, T-45, and X-01 models made of reinforced steel.
The High Priest, his power growing with every spilled drop of blood, began to summon a swarm of daemons. The air grew darker, and the very fabric of reality seemed to warp around him.
Arriving to help Six, Rebecca recognized the High Priest, and knew the situation was dire.
"OOOOOOOOHHHHH, FUCK. IT’S PILAR!!!!!!!"
She murmured and then called upon more reinforcements to form a tight formation around the summoning circle.
"Kill any ugly thing that comes out of those circles!"
She ordered firing her Punisher’s minigun mode, followed by a volley of laser fire and gunfire rained down upon the summoning circle, disrupting the ritual.
The High Priest howled in fury, his daemonic reinforcements torn apart before they could fully manifest.
The battle raged on, a dance of death and destruction that seemed to have no end. But as the Pdrones closed in on the High Priest, they realized that victory might not be within their grasp.
