Extra's Death: I Am the Son of Hades
Chapter 612 - 612: Meeting Shadow Supreme

Nameless Death POV

"What do you mean?" Nameless Death asked.

"There is no time to explain!"

It was Nameless Death's first time seeing Zagreus panicked.

"Barbatos, you are coming with me. Asmodea and Leonora, stay with Nameless Death and get him the elements."

Before Nameless Death could say anything, Barbatos and Zagreus vanished.

"Well, see you guys later," Berserker waved and dispersed into red mist, leaving behind Nameless Death, Leonora, and Asmodea.

"Ah, time's up for me too," Leonora smirked and floated around Nameless Death. "Don't forget my offer, sweetie."

The otherworldly power radiating off Leonora disappeared. Her body became limp. She had lost consciousness, but her brows continued to twist in pain.

"Is she alright?" Nameless Death asked.

"She is going to be in for a world of pain. But other than that, she is completely fine," Asmodea answered.

"If that is true, then let's move ahead. We need… to collect metal affinities," Nameless Death said.

He felt a bit awkward that he was going to follow Zagreus' orders, but in the end, Zagreus was correct.

If the monsters attacked him for their greed, then Nameless Death wouldn't hold back.

"Let's keep moving towards the center while we are at that," Nameless Death suddenly said. "I want to see what type of Sacred Treasure is at the center of this place."

Gods and Worlds fought each other for Sacred Treasures.

Because Sacred Treasures broke the limiters placed on a person by the Universe, and acted as a Key that allowed them to ascend.

This location, where just standing could break your limiters, was special.

'Why haven't the Alliance collected the Sacred Treasure from this location?'

'Well, maybe Berserker can make anyone go insane regardless of their rank, but still, it doesn't make sense that the Alliance isn't desperate to take the secrets of this place.'

Nameless Death had to check what was at the center of this forest.

Zagreus POV

"Dammit!"

Zagreus punched the wall when he saw the broken pedestal.

The soul of his mother was missing.

"That fucking purple bastard! I will kill him!"

Zagreus was seething with rage.

"Ekravion," he called out to the demon. "Give me Stage 6 strength. I'm done playing nice. I'm going to blow this place and fuck that bastard—"

"Prince, please calm down."

Hearing Barbatos' calm voice, Zagreus' anger only rose.

"Calm down? Calm down!? He took my mother's soul and you are telling me to calm down!?"

A green glow began to erupt from Zagreus. It spread across the High Forge, making even the Mountain shudder.

Barbatos bowed and lowered his head.

"Please think about this situation carefully, prince. I request of you."

Zagreus wanted nothing more than to smash everything, but he took a deep breath and nodded.

He bit his lips.

Closing his eyes, he started to think of everything.

Why could Berserker move mother's soul?

Although mother was greatly weakened, it wasn't something a Stage-4 Berserker could…

"He had help," Zagreus muttered. "He must've cajoled a monster."

Zagreus quickly began to think of monsters with teleportation ability. Only they could escape the Mountain without getting caught by the Mountain.

"It was an ant," the Mountain said.

Zagreus raised his gaze and stared at the ceiling from where the voice was coming from.

"Ant?"

"Yes."

'So it was those Sanguiscreech ants? Or was it the Seven Sun Dwellers?'

While Zagreus was thinking rapidly, a sudden thought came to him.

'Berserker and mother are siblings.'

Berserker hated Zagreus' father, but Persephone was a different thing.

He didn't like her either, but he would never let harm her.

'Is this a trap?'

Zagreus realized that Berserker was not going to harm Persephone's soul. He had just taken it away to bait Zagreus.

'That bastard….'

Zagreus clenched his fist. No matter what Berserker was planning, Zagreus couldn't leave his mother's soul in the bastard's hand.

"It seems you've realized what is happening, prince," Barbatos said. "Please, do not use the demon. We can search for the Goddess' soul slowly. The Berserker will never harm her."

"Tsk."

In the following years, Barbatos focused on searching through the entire Voraka Site to find the traces of Persephone's soul.

The others, on the other hand, focused on moving deeper into the forest.

Since Barbatos was no longer helping them teleport, their speed decreased drastically.

But that was all.

They had no problem in exploration itself.

With Asmodea, no monster could match up to them.

Thirty years passed in this manner.

Over time, Nameless Death was able to collect all 108 elemental affinities, and countless techniques, Concepts, and Worlds.

His strength had soared.

But no one was in the mood to appreciate it.

Because the deeper they went into the jungle, the more they realized something was wrong.

Whatever was at the center was so rich in energy that it was turning everything in the Central area into Sacred Treasures, even if they were pebbles or leaves.

'Even if Alliance and Forgotten Suns can't take the Sacred Treasure at the center of the forest, they should be able to take away these stones and leaves that have been turned into Sacred Treasures.'

'Why aren't they doing it?'

Nameless Death's mind was filled with questions as he reached the center with Leonora, Asmodea, and Zagreus.

"What is that?" Leonora muttered, seeing the strange sight in front of them.

There, a giant 'white sphere' was floating. It had multiple rings around it, and it was the source of the rich energy that was acting as Sacred Treasures, and turning everything into Sacred Treasures.

"It's a white hole," the demon octopus said as he frowned. "But how? I thought all of them were destroyed."

While they were focusing on the gigantic white hole, a shadow moved beneath it.

"Welcome, challengers," the shadow spoke. It wore a large dark hood that hid its figure. "Since you have reached the trial location, I shall explain the rules of the trial to you."

Everyone became alert.

They hadn't even sensed the shadowy being until he spoke. Not even Asmodea was able to sense it.

"Ekravion," Zagreus whispered. He realized the one in front of them was not simple, and they finally might have to fight seriously. "Be ready to give me strength—"

"It's useless," the demon said. Its wide eyes were focused on the shadowy being in shock. "You can't defeat it even if you borrow all of your strength."

The words shocked everyone, especially the Grim Reapers and Zagreus himself.

Zagreus could reincarnate endlessly until the universe was destroyed. If he borrowed all of his strength he gathered until then, he couldn't defeat the being in front of him.

The demon ignored their shock. It floated towards the shadowy being, stunned and sweating.

"How are you here? You shouldn't be alive in this eon, ■."

"Hahaha, it's nice to meet you, my old friend."

No one was able to hear the name of the shadowy being. No one except Nameless Death.

'What is happening here?'

'This can't be possible.'

A deep chill ran through Nameless Death's spine.

The name, no, title of the shadow being was…

[Shadow Supreme]

But this wasn't why Nameless Death was shocked.

'His Intent of Existence. It's the same as Barbatos.'

Nameless Death was prepared to fight. He didn't know what was happening here, but one thing was clear.

The being in front of them was Shadow Supreme.

'We can't win.'

It was impossible.

'A Supreme is only second to the Universal Will. We will be crushed the moment he wants us to die.'

A cold sweat flowed down his temple.

"That was not the question I asked," the demon replied.

"Haha," the shadowy being shook his head. "I suppose you have the right to be curious. After all, you were sleeping during the Universe Creation Era."
