Chapter 120: Chapter 120: It’s Over, Trouble’s Afoot

Tong Keke’s eyes instantly reddened from her wild thoughts. She didn’t want her uncle to see other women.

Finally, the sports car came to a stop in front of an elegant restaurant. Gu Qianxi had taken off his white coat and was now dressed in a sharp suit, exuding gentlemanly charm. Coupled with his youthful, slightly roguish handsome face, the moment he appeared, he instantly became the center of attention.

Tong Keke saw him, and her heart began to pound uncontrollably. She grabbed a couple of bills in a fluster and handed them to the driver: "Keep the change!"

The driver hurriedly accepted the money, and as Tong Keke got out of the car, she began to nervously hide.

Her captivating eyes followed Gu Qianxi all the way into the elevator.

Tong Keke immediately sprinted forward and stood before the elevator, watching him stop at the sixth floor.

She quickly switched to another elevator and went up.

Indeed, it was a beautifully decorated Western restaurant. The ambiance was great, the lighting just right—it was clearly a perfect spot for couples on dates.

Tong Keke’s heart began racing wildly. Her delicate face was full of guilt, as if she’d been caught doing something she shouldn’t.

Did Uncle come here for a date with a woman?

Tong Keke felt like her heart was being stabbed repeatedly. She was inexplicably distressed.

Just imagining that Uncle might fall in love with another woman made her feel as if she was suffocating.

No... She couldn’t let this happen. She absolutely couldn’t let Uncle like another woman.

Even if Uncle hated her, she’d still stop him from getting close to someone else.

Tong Keke also entered the restaurant. When the waiter asked her, she simply said she was looking for someone.

However, she didn’t dare to openly seek him out. Her beautiful eyes darted around nervously.

Finally, she spotted Uncle. He was sitting by a window, and across from him was a mature, elegant, beautiful woman. The woman was dressed in a light purple suit, her waist-length wavy curls emanating femininity—there was no way Tong Keke could compare to her.

Tong Keke froze completely, like a weathered stone standing awkwardly in the middle of the path.

Was Uncle into this type of sophisticated, alluring woman?

No wonder Uncle never even glanced her way. Did he think she was too young, too naive?

Suddenly, Tong Keke wanted to rub her chubby baby cheeks off her face. She didn’t want to look like a child anymore.

She wanted sharper features, wanted to exude allure.

"Little girl, have you found the person you’re looking for?" The waiter suddenly came over to inquire.

Tong Keke panicked, turning to run away, but crashed into a server carrying dishes and a bottle of wine.

"I’m sorry, I’m so sorry..." Tong Keke was frantic, bending over repeatedly to apologize.

The server appeared stunned, but a middle-aged woman beside them immediately stood up, pointing at the broken wine and food on the floor: "Do you know how expensive this bottle of wine is? Do you think just saying ’sorry’ is enough? Pay up, now."

Tong Keke was startled, her youthful face full of fear.

"Where are your parents? You’re just a child—you couldn’t possibly afford this. Call your parents over," the woman said sharply, her voice drawing the attention of onlookers.

Tong Keke lowered her head in utter embarrassment, her eyes welling up with tears that finally spilled over uncontrollably.

"H-how much... I’ll pay..." Tong Keke’s voice was as faint as it could be. She was terrified, scared that Uncle might come over and discover her.

"How much? A kid like you couldn’t possibly afford it! That bottle of wine costs thirty-six thousand, and the dish is two thousand eight hundred... you do the math." The woman, emboldened by the growing audience, became even more aggressive—it was her order, after all.

Tong Keke immediately reached for her bag, opening it to check, only to find she didn’t have enough cash. Her card was still back at school; she hadn’t brought it.
