"Xixi, I’m here." Wen Nuan waved urgently as she watched Tong Xi, dressed in a water-red ancient costume, walk over from afar.

"Serves you right!" Wen Nuan took out a cute cartoon bear-shaped mini fan from her bag and handed it to Tong Xi, teasing him as she walked, "And you still say you want to be a full-time actor in the future, yet you’re complaining about the heat now? Before Tong Xi could speak, someone else cut in. The familiar voice made Wen Nuan frown, and looking over, she saw Ji Wei and her assistant getting out of a van, with the assistant being the one talking. She looked at Tong Xi condescendingly, with a slight mockery on her face.

She’d long disliked Tong Xi, and having caught this chance, she couldn’t resist mocking her a bit.

Just because she has a youthful and pretty face like Wen Nuan, she’s just a nobody in the acting world. Compared to her Queen Ji, she’s nothing!

She wouldn’t even give it a second thought.

Ji Wei glanced at Wen Nuan and Tong Xi, her lips curling into a smile, with a faint sarcasm on her stunning face.

"Who do you think you’re talking about?" Hearing the assistant call her a pretty face, Tong Xi was livid. Wen Nuan also frowned deeply; the assistant always spoke without any filter, which was terribly annoying. And Ji Wei just let her run her mouth like that, clearly indulging her.

"Do I even need to say? Of course, it’s you. Oh my, why are you so angry? Didn’t I speak the truth?" Seeing Tong Xi and Wen Nuan angry amused the assistant even more. She clung to Ji Wei’s hand, her eyes filled with admiration for Ji Wei, "Don’t think becoming a star is so easy. Sister Ji took each step herself, and the hard work she put in isn’t something pretty faces can manage."

"Xixi, what did you just say to Ji Wei? Her face looked terrible."

After walking a bit while being dragged along by Tong Xi, Wen Nuan couldn’t suppress her curiosity, "Do you have some dirt on her?"

From what had just happened, it seemed like Tong Xi had been threatening Ji Wei with something, and that’s why she got scared.

"Her assistant said I only got a role because of Uncle Weng, implying I used the director to get ahead. But she forgot that Ji Wei used to have rumors of being involved with both the director and a producer. She got famous last year because of a film, and after filming it, many scandalous rumors popped up. People say she got that role because of her, um, skills in bed. I just mentioned the man’s name, and she got that scared. I’d say there’s a high chance it’s true."
