Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong -
Chapter 1762 - Chapter 1762 Chapter 105 Lion King Temple Under the Night
Chapter 1762: Chapter 105: Lion King Temple Under the Night Chapter 1762: Chapter 105: Lion King Temple Under the Night Under the guidance of Mr. Wilson and a host of Imperial Guard Legion Soldiers, Leo Ray, Ariel Watson, and all the main force subordinates made their way forward and soon arrived at the imposing City Gate of the Coldflame Court.
Upon seeing Leo Ray and his party approaching, the hundreds of Royal Guards stationed at the gate immediately knelt on one knee respectfully, causing a crisp clashing sound of armor.
It was evident that these ordinary Royal Guards were all equipped with Tier 3 Equipment, and the least among them was at the Tier 2 Peak. The number of those at Tier 3 was not few either, constituting what could indeed be called a lavish lineup.
“There is no need for excess formality, the Princess and Mr. Lane have been busy all day. Please, open the City Gate quickly.”
Mr. Wu nodded and instructed the leading Soldier Captain, who bowed to take his order and immediately set about his task.
In the blink of an eye, accompanied by a smooth metallic friction, the solid metal gates before them slowly began to open.
At the same moment, the Absolute Defense Barrier enshrouding the entire court also unfolded an aperture of the same scale as the City Gate, paving the way for everyone to advance.
Watching this rather magical scene, Leo Ray could distinctly feel it.
Even though a piece of the Absolute Defense Barrier had been removed, at the aperture, there were streams of intense energy fluctuations ebbing and flowing, the manifestation of various Detection Type Barriers in operation.
“Is this to prevent any strong individuals who are invisible or employing other stealthy methods from sneaking in when the gate is opened?”
Leo Ray gently raised an eyebrow and then, under Mr. Wu’s guidance, stepped through the grand gate of this enormous court with Ariel Watson.
As soon as he set foot on the solid slate path, the first sight that met Leo Ray’s eyes was a massive castle courtyard, akin to a clean and tidy gigantic park.
On both sides of the spacious pathway were neatly trimmed bushes and colorful flowerbeds.
Especially the vast flowerbeds, which were meticulously cultivated and trimmed into various Cold Flame Sacred Lion Patterns, representing the Royal Family.
Each Golden Lion, baring its fangs and brandishing its claws, appeared lifelike. While filled with artistic flair, it also commanded solemn respect.
Sniffing the floral fragrance and the unique fresh scent of the soil that came toward him, Leo Ray moved forward through the courtyard, his face full of curiosity as he observed.
At the center of the courtyard stood a monumental fountain carved with a lion standing atop a mountain peak.
The lion gazed eastward, its mouth slightly open, constantly spraying crystal clear water, producing a crisp bubbling sound, like a solitary watcher on its own course.
Beyond the fountain and flowerbeds, a bit farther away, precisely pruned trees stood, filling the air with a blend of natural and artistic charm.
Farther still, the ancient castle’s spires and Arrow Towers were distinctly visible, and Leo Ray could even clearly see the triangular flags fluttering atop the distant castle.
The two rounds of the setting sun sank behind the castle spires, tinting the clear blue sky with shades of dusk and casting long shadows of everyone, draping all in a layer of deep orange.
A gentle breeze brushed past, and Leo Ray, feeling the twilight’s perfectly warm touch, inhaled a deep breath of fresh air.
It had to be said that such a vista, akin to a medieval oil painting, indeed brought a profound sense of pleasure and serenity.
“We’re finally back.”
Beside Leo Ray, Ariel Watson’s fair cheeks were filled with overwhelming excitement.
Looking around at the long-missed scenery, the soon-to-be-crowned Princess Cold Flame was already filled with myriad thoughts.
Back then, in order to avoid a fatal assassination, her heart raced and pounded as she barely managed to flee this familiar yet foreign land of life and death.
From a princess who had nothing and fled far from home, to surrendering at the feet of the Lord, to leading a sweeping campaign under the Lord’s direction to return to the soil where she grew up.
All of it, like an epic tale filled with heart-stopping moments, was deeply etched in Ariel Watson’s heart, never to be forgotten.
Amidst her internal musings, Ariel Watson’s starry eyes instinctively shifted onto Leo Ray’s form.
The last rays of the sunset cast the latter’s features in stark relief, as if he was the elaborately carved lion not far away.
“Mr. Lane, the castle ahead is Lion Castle, where the Coldflame Kings of generations manage political affairs, convene with nobility and ministers for discussions, host banquets and celebrations, and receive Honored Guests,” said Mr. Wu, pointing to the increasingly distinct and massive antique castle at the end of the road. “The Princess’s Coronation Ceremony will also take place in the Grand Hall of Lion Castle.”
“As expected of the Royal Castle, it indeed has an extraordinary presence.”
Leo Ray’s eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at the colossal edifice in the distance, comparing it favorably against Chasing Light Castle of Crystal Blue City, resembling a giant lion resting, subtly exuding an imposing and majestic aura.
Subsequently, under Mr. Wu’s guidance, Leo Ray first toured around the heavily guarded Lion Castle, both inside and out, before proceeding deeper into the court.
Through further introduction by Mr. Wu, Leo Ray learned.
Beyond the Lion Castle and its associated structures at the forecourt, the backcourt was the area where Royal Family Members lived, entertained, and relaxed.
Separated by the extremely expansive gardens and flowerbeds, the backcourt was divided into living areas of varying sizes, including not only the Prince Castle that Ariel Watson once inhabited, but also several other Prince Castles for other Princes.
