[New Exclusive Skill acquired: Night of Death]

Upon achieving the status of a Regular rank Player, Noah's pre-existing abilities underwent a remarkable enhancement.

"Now, my Seal of Death can inflict an additional 120% damage."

But that was not all that he gained if one were to take into an account his new exclusive skill.

[Exclusive Skill - Night of Death]

Effect: Envelops a 200m radius with a shroud of darkness, creating an artificial night.

The caster possesses the ability to deactivate it at will.

Although the explanation was concise, the impact it held was undeniable.

"This skill perfectly complements the Rune of the Night (A/N:Angel of Death's Rune), which attains its peak strength during nighttime."

Due to the rune's unique attributes, attack speed was increased by 50% under the cover of darkness, while the chances of being detected were significantly reduced.

Undoubtedly, this skill was tailor-made for an Angel of Death, a Reaper.

"Now, even in broad daylight, I can enjoy the attack speed boost without any hindrances, all thanks to the Night of Death."

''Status window!" Noah called and a dark gold panel appeared before his eyes.

Noah carefully allocated his stat points to balance his abilities. He decided to put two points into Luck, bringing his Luck stat to 30. He then distributed the remaining two points equally between Dexterity and Strength. As a result, his Dexterity reached a total of 50, while his Strength reached 40. With these adjustments, his other stats remained around 30 or had surpassed it.

Eager to try out his newly acquired skill, he suppressed his excitement and prioritized searching for the prized magic stone of the mutated kobold. It didn't take long for him to discover the ash-covered stone, which had a distinct gray hue. Confident that this valuable magic stone would sell for a good price, he carefully packed it away. Hr would earn quite a credit with this stone.

A few minutes had passed since the Exp Booster's effect had expired, and Noah's stomach started to grumble.

As Noah chewed on the savory wild boar meat jerky, a burst of energy filled his weary body. The replenishing flavors of the jerky were a welcome treat after hours of relentless battles and grinding for experience points.

As he indulged in the delicious snack, his mind wandered back to the intense hunt he had just completed. The Exp Booster had significantly accelerated his leveling process, allowing him to acquire valuable skills and grow stronger within a short span of time.

Feeling satisfied and refreshed, Noah's thoughts turned to his next objective. He must test his new exclusive skill and in order to do so, he needed to find monsters on whom he would be testing this skill.

Noah set off and before long, he stumbled upon a group of five kobolds. It was no surprise to find them so quickly, as it was known to be their territory.

As Noah approached, the kobolds caught a whiff of their fallen comrades' scent on him. This discovery filled them with an overwhelming rage, fueling their already violent nature. They were consumed by the desire to rip Noah apart, their anger blinding them to reason.

Noah chuckled upon seeing this. He immediately cast the Night of Death.

Whoosh!

The space within a 300m radius was engulfed in darkness.

A wave of inky blackness rolling outwards like a silent tidal wave. It swallowed the kobolds whole, plunging them into a world devoid of light. Their rage, fueled by scent and sight, faltered momentarily, replaced by sudden disorientation and the primal fear of the unknown.

Screams erupted from within the darkness, not of battle cries but of panicked yelps. The kobolds, accustomed to the dimly lit caverns they inhabited, were thrown into utter confusion. Their crude weaponry, designed for close-quarters combat, became useless in the absence of any visual cues. Their claws, meant to tear flesh in the heat of battle, now felt useless against the unseen enemy.

Noah, however, thrived in the darkness. He was like a predator in its natural hunting ground, his senses heightened by the gloom. He used the confusion to his advantage, expertly maneuvering through the chaos, his movements silent and precise. The only sounds were the panicked shrieks of the kobolds and the occasional clang of metal against stone as one of them stumbled and dropped their weapon.

From within the darkness, Noah unleashed a flurry of attacks, his weapon a blur of motion. The kobolds, unable to defend themselves or even locate their attacker, fell one by one. The stench of burnt flesh and the metallic tang of blood filled the air, a grim testament to the one-sided slaughter.

As the last scream faded into the abyss, Noah dispelled the darkness. He stood amidst a scene of carnage, the bodies of fallen kobolds littering the ground. His expression remained unchanged, the playful chuckle long gone, replaced by a cold, detached efficiency.

As he surveyed the surroundings, his eyes darted back and forth, searching for any hint of movement. But what truly captivated him was the overwhelming sense of his newfound greatness. With the Night of Death now unleashed, his powers had intensified, his strikes infused with an even deadlier force.

A shiver ran down Noah's spine, not because of the lifeless bodies strewn across the ground, but because of the boundless potential that lay ahead.

The Night of Death was truly awe-inspiring. The mere thought of the incredible abilities that awaited him with each rank advancement sent goosebumps coursing through his body. In the grand scheme of things, he couldn't help but believe that he was destined to become a one-man army, capable of even controlling the very essence of death itself.

Perhaps he would be able to summon an army of the undead, surpassing even that person who held the title of the King of Death. Noah couldn't shake the feeling that his class, the Angel of Death, held a higher standing than he initially realized. He was akin to the true ruler of death, a godlike figure in his own right.

The name "Angel of Death" seemed inadequate, as if it fell short of capturing the true essence of his unique class.

'Maybe this unique ability's title would evolve into something like God of Death.'

Noah pondered this thought, unable to help but shake his head in disbelief.

"Well, only time will reveal the accuracy of this assumption. And with the assistance of my system, I will undoubtedly become an unstoppable force. A true powerhouse. A solitary force to be reckoned with."

''Maybe, I will have to create my own guild, my army to go against those responsible for my mother's death. One man can't do everything by himself. You eventually need to rely on someone. I'll observe and slowly decide later.''

[+25% Experience Points]

The system's voice rang out breaking Noah out of his formulating thought.

''Huh! As expected the higher you go, the amount of experience points will decrease. Normally, five kobolds would have given me 50% experience points, filling the experience bar to the next level by half but now instead of 50% it gives me 25%, meaning I would have to kill twenty kobolds instead of the previous ten to level up.''

Noah was overcome with a sense of desolation. He had been contemplating embarking on another rampage, aiming to level up to twenty-one or even twenty-two before nightfall. However, he had to reconsider his plans when he noticed a decline in the amount of experience he gained from slaying kobolds. Noah realized that he needed to create a significant gap between himself and his peers.

Though he had attained the esteemed Regular rank, he understood the importance of remaining humble. While he possessed a certain advantage that facilitated his progress, he acknowledged that others might possess their own advantages as well. Therefore, he resolved to continue working diligently, refusing to rest on his laurels.

As Noah contemplated the future, a surge of anticipation coursed through his veins. His determination to seek answers and exact justice for his mother's death remained unwavering. However, alongside this steadfast resolve, a new sensation began to take root within him. A desire to transcend all boundaries and stand in uncharted territory, surpassing even the most formidable adversaries.

Noah yearned to claim the throne of the strongest, a position never before attained. He couldn't deny the allure of this ambition, for it stirred a fire within him that intensified his every emotion.

Unbeknownst to Noah, a darker shard now resided within his eyes, casting an ominous shadow over his golden irises and emanating an otherworldly aura, an aura of death.
