The arrival of Gustav made everyone in the dimly lit small room halt their actions. A girl with short, neat hair and wearing a white jacket stepped forward to greet him.

Before Gustav could speak, she asked forcefully, "Who was the person in the café this afternoon? He’s not from Kolo Film Industry."

The sudden appearance of an unwelcome guest had left her anxious all afternoon.

She had witnessed the explosion at the café, but the target had not died in the blast. Not only that, but her foster mother also miraculously survived it.

A few hours later, her foster mother had found their safe house, but she couldn’t clearly explain what happened in that instant; by the time she regained her senses, she found herself in the alley behind the café.

"An old friend,"

Gustav said, "You don’t need to worry about him."

"We’ve just received word that Kolo Film Industry, through Guan Lili, has made contact with him, and they seem to wish for him to arrange the security measures."

The girl seemed to disapprove of this outcome; she was reluctant to leave her fate in the unknown.

"I’ll deal with him."

Gustav patted the girl’s shoulder reassuringly.

Although he had officially met Song Lan only once, due to the Ragus Foundation, he often heard about him and had gained a comprehensive understanding of Song Lan’s abilities. Yet, Song Lan knew nothing about them.

They had prepared for this day for a long time, including the possibility of having to confront Song Lan.

Based on the long-collected intelligence by the Ragus Foundation, he was confident he could hold Song Lan off for a while.

Gustav’s reassurance was notably effective; the girl took several deep breaths, and her anxiety gradually subsided.

She glanced at the time and said to the others in the room, "The plan remains unchanged, prepare to move out."

As she spoke, everyone changed into their uniforms.

These were the uniforms of the Kolo Film Industry’s security department, emblazoned with the company logo. Their faces were hidden under hoods, and even the weapons they carried were the same models used by Kolo Film Industry’s security personnel.

The girl’s attire, however, was distinctly out of place amidst the room’s occupants.

The white jacket, dyed pink hair, and a pair of over-the-knee boots made her look like a classic rebellious girl from the movie screen.

She also picked up her own mask—a bloody cartoon rabbit.

"Before we depart, the boss would like to have a few words with you."

Gustav took out his phone; the call was already connected.

The girl steadied herself and took the phone.

"Hello?"

"You are about to meet your nemesis. How does it feel?"

The girl took a deep breath, "I am ready."

She, or rather they, had worked for many years for this moment, and she had even envisioned it countless times in her dreams.

"According to our agreement, once you have control of the top-floor office, my people will deliver the Miniature Tactical Nuclear Bomb to you. You will have 10 minutes to evacuate... and then, after tonight, the entire United Government will know your name. Perhaps your admirers will even name their drinks after you in bars."

"I know, I know."

These were once her fondest aspirations, but now that the moment was truly upon her, she wished to put all that aside for the time being to focus more intently on the upcoming action.

"But you should know that blowing up the building of Kolo Film Industry won’t change anything, right?"

Suddenly, silence fell on both ends of the call.

The girl furrowed her brows and asked, "Are you having second thoughts?"

"No, I’m just reminding you that you’re not the first person to want to blow up a company building. Decades ago, someone did something similar; they blew up the Tesla Tech building. It certainly impacted Tesla Tech—stocks plummeted, they lost research materials, and the rebuilding process sapped their energy for a while, but you probably know what happened afterward."

Qi He chuckled, not continuing further.

Today, Tesla Tech remains one of the leading companies of the United Government. The dreams of those wanting to destroy the corporate system never came to fruition. As for the person who installed a nuclear bomb on Tesla Tech’s rooftop, he is only mentioned when people reminisce about the past.

"...What are you trying to say?"

"Blowing up a building isn’t enough to change a company, especially a large one like Kolo Film Industry. Real change can only happen from within. The choice is yours, Monica. Do you want to be a terrorist, or a revolutionary?"

Inside Kolo Film Industry, an urgent security meeting was in full swing.

The head of the security department sat with his back straight, while the command center was represented by a holographic projection of the company structure chart. After having the "unwarranted personnel" escorted out of the company, they found themselves at a loss.

Despite employing what was touted as the most advanced security systems on the market, the deaths of Mikaela and "Black Sand" in their own villas fully proved that these so-called security systems were essentially useless... not very effective.

The head tried his best to remain composed, smiling.
