“Cruelty.” Li Qiye said.

“Would you do it again?” He boldly asked.

“Yes, since it had to be done. One can only rely on oneself while on the dao path.” Li Qiye said.

“I see.” He murmured.

“That’s why we’ll see if your dao heart is firm enough.” Li Qiye said.

“I understand now, I will do it.” He said confidently.

Li Qiye smiled before turning his gaze toward something else. He also became startled and did the same.

Li Qiye’s gaze was dreadful, capable of killing everything, including immortals. It scared the hell out of Light God.

“Brother Light, excuse me for coming uninvited.” Someone appeared in the dao square and spoke.

This young man sauntered closer with a unique charm. He was handsome and didn’t look like a cultivator. His mile instilled a feeling of great ease and freedom.

A stream of the sixth sense trailed behind him. When unfurled, it allowed him to perceive heaven and earth, grasping all rhythms and changes regardless of the location.

“Fellow Daoist Sixth-sense.” Light God was surprised to see a good friend, Sixth-sense Ancestor.

This famous primal ancestor dominated others. When he was young and proud, he even looked down on Xian Chengtian.

Chengtian’s dao lecture was coveted by everyone in Three Immortals regardless of talent and cultivator. Listening meant obtaining a lifetime of benefits.

Sixth-sense listened to one dao lecture but left shaking his head, unsatisfied. Some recalled Chengtian wanted to preach to him more but was refused.

Light God had friends everywhere in Heaven World, Sixth-sense being one of them. The two shared their unique perspective on the dao and appreciated their friendship.

Sixth-sense’s sudden visit surprised Light God who still invited him in to sit down.

“Sir.” Sixth-sense bowed.

Li Qiye looked at him and said: “I was wondering if you would show up.”

“It’s not that easy to find a hidden dragon, not easy at all.” Sixth-sense’s smile was charismatic and instilled a sense of joy.

“Is that so? Perhaps not.” Li Qiye smirked.

“Then my apologies for being negligent.” Sixth-sense shook his head: “I’ve been busy and this body hasn’t been comfortable, requiring some more breaking in. After all, I must maintain some decorum when meeting you.”

Light God became stunned upon hearing this. Sixth-sense was entirely different somehow even though his appearance and demeanor were unchanged.

He staggered backward and prepared defensively.

“Don’t be alarmed, Brother, I bear no malice.” Sixth-sense smiled.

“Who are you?” Light God asked.

“It’s me, Sixth-sense.” Sixth-sense replied.

“Absolutely not, is this a possession?” Light God said. This sensitive topic has been on his mind since he was at risk.

“How embarrassing of me, but don’t worry, Brother.” Sixth-sense shook his head.

This non-answer was an answer.

“He’s an immortal.” Li Qiye casually interjected.

“Immortal! You possess his body!” Light God blurted.

“That’s an unpleasant way to put it.” Sixth-sense said: “Possession implies forcefulness, an act suitable for villains, not us immortals. All of this transpired with consent.”

“You’re the ancient immortal, Fiendish Ground.” Light God took a deep breath and speculated due to Sixth-sense’s past with the major ghost market.

If the immortal was not lying, then Sixth-sense had willingly become a replacement avatar long ago with a pact.

Under normal circumstances, Sixth-sense was himself. Only when needed did Fiendish Ground take over everything.
