“Frozen again?” He spoke calmly and woke her up.

She took a deep breath and waved her hand: “Bring her back and report to the ancestors. Bury her properly.”

The others dared not linger around. Junior Brother Guo trembled in fear and quickly obeyed, bringing the corpse away.

The scene became the same as before - Li Qiye relaxing and eating crab meat. The old woman also focused on work.

After he finished the meal, he yawned and stretched before smiling: “Something warm for the belly?”

The old woman brought over a pot of hot ginger and Sujian poured a cup. As he drank, he stared at the old woman.

“It’s time to pay?” Li Qiye spoke and broke the stagnation. Everything happened again at a normal pace.

The old woman froze before touching the towel wrapped around her neck. Eventually, she still walked over.

Sujian was utterly intimidated by the old woman. An invisible hand stopped her from moving.

“How do you want to pay, Young Noble?” The old woman took a deep breath and met his gaze.

“You tell me.” Li Qiye smiled.

“You wish to kill me, Young Noble?” Her back was no longer bent as she asked.

The moment her back became straight, Sujian felt as if the most terrifying force had erupted within the old woman’s fragile body. One leap from her to escape would put an end to World City.

However, Li Qiye didn’t mind whether she was getting ready for an attack or to escape.

She took another breath and released the tension. The monstrous power dissipated immediately.

Sujian could finally breathe again, no longer in fear of being reduced to a bloody mist. Nevertheless, she was emotionally drained.

“Trying to run?” Li Qiye asked.

The old woman knew all methods were futile before him. Therefore, she gave up on this thought.

“If that’s the case, why were you so scared to see me? It wasn’t our first meeting.” Li Qiye smiled.

“I’ve been anxious ever since Bao Pu’s death to Desolate Ancestor.” She said.

Sujian shuddered because this old woman was talking about these two monstrous beings as if she were on the same level.

Others didn’t dare to speak recklessly in public about these taboo matters.

“Do you think you will be able to escape? Or put up a good fight?” Li Qiye asked nonchalantly while gazing into the distance.
