Edge of the Apocalypse -
Chapter 818: Abhorrence Of Giants
Blood Gate Stronghold.
On the rooftop of the barracks in Bethcodt's family camp, Lucy sat down at the edge of the barracks, looking up at the starry sky. She narrowed her eyes and stretched out her hand, as if she wanted to catch something, but it turned into a sigh and she put down her hand.
"Are you worried about him?" A young girl's voice came from behind.
Lucy turned her head, and Adele came out of the shadow of the water tower beside her. She wore a set of camouflage battle uniform. Her long hair had actually been cut short. Under the moonlight, she was less tender and more capable than usual. War can change people, Lucy thought. At the very least, the Adele in front of her had changed a lot. She became more independent, capable, and began to show her edges.
"What are you doing, two ponytails? Even if you look at me like that, I won't like you." The corners of Adele's lips curled into a strong smile.
Lucy smiled. "Why are you free? You can't stay in your family's camp at this time?"
"Because I'm also worried about that guy." Adele sat down beside her, and the night breeze brought up her long, short hair in a mischievous manner, and blew it about like a young girl's mood: "It's been more than three days, and he hasn't come back yet. But I'm sure he won't die."
"I believe it too, but I can't wait for him like this." Lucy reached out to pinch the girl's hair and said coldly, "Did you cut it yourself?"
Adele blushed. "I know it's not good, but it's much more convenient." She swept away Lucy's hand and said, "If you don't want to wait, then what are you doing here?"
At the end of his sentence, his footsteps sounded. Adele looked back and saw a man walking over. He wore black armor and a mask on his face. He couldn't see his face at all. Adele remembered him. He was a captain of the Allen Alliance.
"Mr. Nocchi." Lucy stood up and said, "Looks like you have good news?"
Adele looked at him curiously, and then at Lucy.
Nodding his head, Nocchi said, "My men have found the signal for Captain Allen."
"How?" Asked Adele.
"We hacked into the Federation's system and used satellites to locate the coordinates of Commander Allen's tactical board." Nocchio looked at Lucy. "So, what does Miss Lucy mean?"
"Of course I'm going to find him. Please give me the coordinates. This is not a mission issued by the Military Department, so you don't have to follow me." Said Lucy.
"Saying this is too outrageous." At the rooftop exit, Reese walked up with his hands in his pockets. "Thank you, boss, for taking care of us. We've earned a lot of military merits. No matter what, we should repay them."
"Even a coward like Reese said that. Our Shadow Bobcats don't want to miss this mission." Sock also walked out, right behind Reese.
Reese said angrily, "Who's a coward? Bastard, I want to duel you."
"I accept. If you lose, you have to let Miss Christine join our Shadow Bobcats!" Sock said with a malicious expression.
Reese snorted, "If you lose, just merge your bunch of bobcats into my team. You'll have to call me boss in the future."
Sparks flashed in the eyes of the two men, and Celine crashed into them in the middle. The leader of the Black Knights put his hands together and pushed the two of them away, "Enough, don't bet on Christine. Also, is it time for a duel? Don't blame me for being impolite if you keep messing around."
The two of them seemed to be a little afraid of Celine. They stared at each other, but they did not continue the topic just now. Nodge stood beside Celine and said to Lucy, "My sword is at your disposal, Miss Lucy, and you can decide what to do."
"You guys" Lucy shook her head, but she couldn't hide the excitement in her eyes. She turned and looked at Adele, "Are you coming?"
"Of course!" The short-haired girl's smile was incomparably open.
In the combat room, Roddy was propped up on the tactical arena with both of his hands. In the tactical arena, there was a three-dimensional map. It was Bescot's defensive area. Roddy looked at the map and occasionally stretched out his hand to point at the defensive nodes in the defensive area, adjusting some parameters. Someone knocked on the door and Fudin's lazy voice sounded, "Don't look, I know you're not thinking about that."
"Damn it, are you going to die if you're a little stupid now and then?" Roddy scolded angrily.
Fordin laughed and leaned against the wall to look at the camp outside the window. "You can hold your breath. I thought you would send someone to look for the young master."
'"Me too. But the old man said," I'll treat it as training for that little thing. But three days have passed. I plan to send someone to look for it tomorrow. Don't really get into trouble. "
"Are you worried about that Grai woman?" Fordin laughed dryly, "I don't think she can take the young master's life." I was the one who shot him before, so I can't be clearer about the weight of that shot. That woman didn't recover so quickly, so she must have brought along all of her injuries. There were still two people beside Young Master Allen. Forget about Belmond, that Hubble was not simple. With the two of them and our young master, a Grai woman can't threaten him. "
"I'm afraid of other variables."
Suddenly, a family soldier rushed in and said to Roddy, "Not good, my lord. Just now, just now …"
"Speak properly if you have something to say." Roddy frowned.
The soldier took a deep breath and nodded, "Miss Lucy just left the camp and drove two flying cars with the hunting squad. She said she was going to find Young Master Allen. We couldn't stop her. Please punish her."
Roddy was surprised and said, "Nonsense, how do they know where Alan is!"
"Then maybe." Fordin looked out the window and smiled. "If you hack into the federal system, you can get the coordinates of Allen's tactical board through satellite positioning. Aren't you doing the same?"
Roddy looked embarrassed and said, "How can I be the same?" He paused for a moment before shouting, "You already knew, didn't you, bastard? You actually didn't stop them?"
"Why stop him? Don't you think you should be happy for Young Master Allen? How happy he is to find a group of companions who live and die together."
"What the hell are you happy about? If anything happens to His Highness Lucy, I don't think you'll be happy." Roddy scolded.
"You are so stupid. Since Her Highness Lucy is involved, there is no need for you to have a headache in this matter." '"Don't you think a big shot should have a headache there?" Fording looked in the direction of the stronghold's military building. "It's a good opportunity for the military to send people to search for Young Master. It also saves you a lot of effort and cuts off some of the unfriendly thoughts of some people."
Roddy patted his head and said, "I told you you were better than me at these sinister things!"
"Why does this compliment of yours sound so unpleasant to me?" Fuding shook his head.
Roddy ignored him and wanted to inform Russen about Lucy and drag the Federation into this. Suddenly, a sharp alarm sounded outside the window. Hearing this, Roddy and Fordin's expressions changed. They looked at each other, not knowing what had happened. Then, the intelligence brain in the combat room received an emergency notification. A line of messages appeared on the big screen, causing Roddy's heart to sink.
It was clearly written in the message that five minutes ago, an enormous fleet of alien coalition forces had bypassed the Silverwind Continent and entered the Twilight Continent from the wilderness. The fleet had a preliminary estimate of 200,000 troops, which was more than double the number of foreign invaders from last time. Currently, Blackrock, a stronghold located on the northern side of the continent, had entered a state of total war. Perhaps it would not be long before the other strongholds would also be attacked.
Roddy waved his finger and the map of Twilight Continent appeared on the big screen. At this moment, the Federal Military Department had updated the latest data on the map. As a result, they could see through the screen that there were densely packed red dots of light scattered on the wilderness to the north. These spots of light were spreading towards the vast mountains to the south. On the nearby Black Rock Stronghold, there was a pattern of two swords crossing each other. This meant that the Black Rock Stronghold had been the first to be attacked by the outsider coalition forces.
Looking at the dot of light that covered almost the entire wasteland, one could imagine what a huge army it was, making Roddy unable to breathe. Amongst the dots of light, there was a ball of striking purple light. It was the pattern of a purple skull, and a green aura was still exhaling from the skull's mouth. There was only one person in the enemy army who needed to mark this pattern. Roddy looked at Fordin and said the same name in disbelief, "Crosser of Hatred?!"
That was the leader of the alien alliance army, a top expert of the Grai Clan, a supreme figure who could contend against Capulo. He had actually arrived at the wilderness! This was absolutely unexpected news. After all, Crosser had been presiding over the attacks on the people of Adahua Planet in the Silverwind Continent and had suddenly changed his position. If there wasn't anything fishy about it, Roddy wouldn't believe anything he said.
"I always feel like something big is about to happen." Fuding sighed.
"And our young master is in danger." Roddy smiled bitterly and looked at the mountains to the north. On the map of the screen, the red dots representing the enemy army had already covered nearly half of the area. Allen's coordinates appeared in the mountains, and now Lucy was leading her men to the battlefield. Roddy had a big headache, but it was clear that he was not the only one who had a headache.
Not long after, Russen's muffled snort came from the command building of the stronghold. This muffled snort was extremely penetrating, causing all the windows in the command room of the building to buzz. Just now, Roddy reported to him that Lucy was heading north to the mountains. At this time, the foreign coalition army invaded the wilderness, giving Russen a huge problem. He creaked his hand on the railing of the bridge, and loosened it a moment later, and said to the adjutant, "Tell Catherine to set off at once. No matter what she does, bring the prince back to me unharmed!"
The adjutant was stunned and said, "General, is there something wrong with removing Major General Catherine from the stronghold at this time?"
"It doesn't matter." Russen let out a breath and said, "I'm enough for the Blood Gate Stronghold. Besides, that hateful giant Crossaia is naturally greeted by our marshal. Go ahead and do it."
Only then did the adjutant go.
