Edge of the Apocalypse -
Chapter 539: Battle Of Brothers (1)
Seguris walked out of the shade, wearing an alien-style armor. It was hard to tell whether it was metal or composite armor, and there were many damage on it. The most serious part was under his abdomen. The edge of the oblique opening was smooth, and there were some blue marks around it. It should be caused by the bleeding of Seguris after he was injured.
He was indeed injured, but his aura did not seem weak. Seguris shrugged, "I should have arrived earlier. Unfortunately, I was entangled by that crazy woman. It took me a lot of effort to get rid of her. I'm glad. Brother, you killed that damned viscount. I wish I could kill this untrustworthy fellow."
Alan narrowed his eyes and didn't say anything.
Oban looked at him and Seguris with a strange expression. He couldn't figure out the relationship between this mutant and Alan.
"I'm really surprised. I didn't expect you to have activated the second form of the Devil's Praise. Now I can't wait to receive it, and you." Seagris suddenly spoke in Eboynes' language again, which, of course, only Alan could understand.
Alan said in the same language, "I was going to leave it to you."
"Is that so? I'm flattered," Seguris said exaggeratedly. "But I don't have to. Even if you don't die from a single shot, it'll hurt. And I'm afraid of pain."
These words gave Alan a lot of hints. Seagris seemed to know a lot about devil praise, and he even knew about Tier 2 forms. He also knew what kind of power the Anthem of Destruction could unleash in order to assess the outcome of his trauma. He said casually, "I'm curious why you should know so much about the devil's praise. From the moment I owned it, there were definitely no more than three people who knew about it."
Seguris stuck out his lizard-like tongue and swiftly slashed through the air before retracting. Then he said, "From your tone, you don't seem to know much about this Origin Tool. Why didn't the person who gave it to you explain its function?"
"I don't think my mother knows much about it. In fact, she thinks it's just an ordinary dagger."
'"Mother? Woman? No, no, how could it be in the hands of a woman? It's our father's weapon, and father can't give it to a woman easily!" Segris said with a stunned expression, "Mother? Woman? No, no, how could it be in the hands of a woman?"
"Father" Ellen raised his eyebrows. "The father you're talking about is …"
"Archimedes, don't you even know his name? God, so father didn't tell you anything. Hahaha, I see. He wants you to be an ordinary person without having to carry those heavy destinies. "What a biased man. Unfortunately, even he didn't expect that the path of burning blood would bring us all together and embark on this inevitable path of destiny."
The shock in Alan's heart could no longer be expressed in words. Archimedes was actually Archimedes. Alan thought that he was just a man who had abandoned his wife and son, but who would have thought that he was also Seguris' father? So that man isn't human?
However, judging from the priest's description, it didn't seem to have any alien characteristics, or what was Father Miro hiding?
"It doesn't matter." Seagris lowered his head and said with a gloomy expression, "Although my father's favoritism for you really makes me angry, I want to accept everything from you now. I want my father to know who his most outstanding child is."
Alan had many questions, such as Archimedes' identity and what Seguris called destiny. If this fate was really so heavy and important, why didn't he receive any hints? But now was not the time to explore these questions. He knew that Seguris had already developed killing intent. If he could not leave this forest today, there would be no future story. So Allen threw all the questions out of his mind and raised Qian Jun's head to focus on Seagris.
There was no need for unnecessary words. From the looks in each other's eyes, they knew that this was an endless battle. No compromise, no surrender. As competitors on the Blood Burning Road, once they met, only one person would be able to leave alive. It was destined, and Alan knew it. At this moment, Seguris moved.
His movements were very strange. He leaned forward, his toes on the ground, his head and feet in a straight line, so he shot at Allen like a javelin. Halfway through the journey, Seguris already had one more shadow blade in each of his hands. A blade made purely of shadows drew a complicated saber trajectory in the air and landed on Allen.
Ellen's pupils dilated, wanting to record all of Ceglis's movements, so as to find out the flaws in his attack. However, at this moment, another strange feeling arose in his heart. Alan suddenly made a strange move. He suddenly turned around and sold his back to Seguris, but Qian Jun waved his hand towards the air in front of him.
When Qianjun slashed out, Alan's eyes were still empty. However, halfway through the chop, it was as if it had collided with something invisible. The heavy saber lightly trembled, and then a faint dark ripple spread out. Then, two interlaced shadow blades appeared, followed by an arm and shoulder. Segris's figure appeared in the air one after another, while the saber shadow behind Alan changed from reality to nothingness, eventually disappearing into nothingness.
"Not bad. You're worthy of being my brother. You actually saw through my moves. Hey, to be honest, I'm starting to like you a little." Seguris grinned.
Alan replied seriously, "Unfortunately, I already have someone I like. And I don't like men."
Seguris shook his head and said, "I really don't have a sense of humor."
He suddenly retreated and collided with the shadow blade. The shadow blade turned into a ball of shadow and concealed Ceglis' figure. Alan's eyes turned cold as he clasped his saber and collided with it. He and the saber collided into the shadow, causing Seguris' scream and Alan's muffled shout to resound.
Ou Ban, who was not far away, looked up and saw the saber shadow dodge. Ceglis and Alan exchanged seats. A crack appeared on the armor under the former's neck and chest, and a few thin wounds appeared on the latter's right hand and left leg. All of this happened in the blink of an eye. "You're a lunatic," Seguris said in a low voice.
Ellen shrugged and declined to comment.
Seguris took a deep breath and said, "I am a cautious man. The thing I hate the most is lunatics like you. You don't follow the same routine, so let's end this battle as soon as possible."
An invisible ripple spread out from Seguris' body. Alan could feel it, and the surrounding space became much dimmer. The shadows under the shadows of the trees around him were like vicious creatures that were about to move, causing him to feel dangerous.
Alan swept his gaze, and his gaze suddenly froze on a shadow on the left. The shadows in the forest unexpectedly wriggled restlessly like living creatures!
