Edge of the Apocalypse -
Chapter 1256: Eastbound
The sky was dim, and everything was buried in thick shadows. She stopped and looked east.
The wind blew a few strands of her hair, and they fluttered in the air, drawing a graceful yet invisible pattern. She stared east, her gaze seeming to penetrate through space. After a while, she whispered, "I can feel it. It's like a flame, but it's more tyrannical than a flame. But why is it so green? What exactly happened to you?"
Wu--
The breeze sent her a low cry.
The voice came from behind her head, but she did not look back.
On the steep slope of the mountain behind her, a black beast with a smooth and shiny skin was quietly staring at her. To this wild beast, this area was too barren. Food was so hard to find that it had forgotten how long it hadn't eaten. In front of him, this woman was clearly an exquisite meal.
This leopard-like creature waved its fleshy whiskers on its back. It nimbly leapt silently through the mountains. When it was about to approach the woman, it launched a fierce attack. Its sharp and powerful claws grabbed at the woman, and its fleshy beard wrapped around her waist like a venomous snake. Seeing that the woman was about to die, the beast jumped into the air and the woman's figure disappeared into the air.
The beast landed on the ground, and the four golden eyeballs on its head looked in different directions. However, behind him, the woman seemed to come out of the shadows. Her movements were so gentle that there was even a faint smile on her face. She reached out and gently stroked the beast's head. The exotic beast's entire body stiffened, and then the light in its eyes quickly dimmed. When the golden eyes turned grey, the exotic beast began to weathered and collapse like a sand castle that had been pushed down. A moment later, it turned into black sand on the ground. When the wind blew, not a single trace remained.
She watched as the exotic beast disappeared and sighed softly before walking.
She walked in the east direction, if the woman walked in a straight line. Then the end of this straight line was a small town, Green Light Town!
On the other side of the Land of the Lost, strictly speaking, it was only on the snowy plains at the edge of the region. One could see dark red light shields appearing on the snowy plains. It was similar to a marching tent, but it was more convenient to use. It was only a palm-sized device, but when activated, it could create a protective shield that could accommodate ten people. Within the protective shield, it could withstand the cold temperatures of the Realm of the Lost, as well as a certain degree of energy shocks. It also serves to isolate the line of sight, and can even prevent some instruments from detecting.
More than a hundred dark red light shields represented the entire army that Blood Eye could gather.
At this time, Aziz was leaning on his bone staff and walking towards one of the shields. Just as he was about to enter, a figure came crashing out of the protective cover. It was a Bar male with a tall stature. He had a head that looked like an octopus, and his head was as big as an octopus. His two big eyes could be said to be shining brightly. He wore a rare set of leather armor and his arms bulged. In fact, Azes knew that there were no so-called arms inside. It was just a few tentacles to fill them up and pretend to be.
This was another of his subordinates, General Lesek.
Seeing Azes, Rezek lowered his head and called out "Lord", then turned around and left. Blood Eye laughed dryly and walked into the protective shield to see Trisley. He said, "You chased Rezek away again? You're my right and left, and I'd love to see you two together."
"But I don't like him." Trish was dressed in thin clothes, and her long legs under her buttocks shone with a seductive glow in the light.
Azes thought that if it had been ten years ago, he might not have let a beauty like Trisley off the hook. But now, he needed this woman and Leslie, so he wouldn't touch Trisley. Even if he hooked her fingers, Trisley would do everything she could to please him.
"You don't look too well, Miss Trisley. Why did you suffer from outsiders?" Aziz found a place to sit down, and the bone staff rested beside his leg. It was a place that he could get his hands on at any time.
Tracy looked at the bone staff, intentionally or unintentionally, and said, "Yes, my lord."
"Does that mean that outsiders are not weak?"
"If it's a third-rate item, how can we kill Iron Hand? If it's that easy to handle, I'll kill him for you. Now we can slap our butts and return to Blood Eye Town." Trisley was playing with a curved blade in her hand, and the customary weapon was spinning silently in her hand. Under the light, the curved blade pulled out strands of gray threads. The gray threads formed a light gray halo, circling around Trisley's delicate fingers that could not wait to be bitten.
Azeroth glanced at the halo. From the halo, it could be seen that Trisley's injuries weren't a problem. It was even possible that this cunning woman was deliberately pretending to be heavier so that she could be lazy in the following battles. Of course, Azes didn't care about this small slack off.
"Then from your point of view, at what level is his strength?"
Tracy twisted her fingers and the curved blade stopped. She leaned forward slightly and said, "From what I can tell, the other party is about Lesek's level, and slightly stronger." However, these weren't the most important things. The most important thing was that guy was very cautious. You have no idea, Lord Aziz. I took off all my clothes and tried to seduce him to bed, but he actually refused. "It's so irritating that a man would refuse to sleep with me!"
This was true, so there was no need to pretend. When Trisley said it, she gritted her teeth.
Azeroth smiled. Trisley was indeed a beauty. Therefore, he could imagine that when Tracy took the initiative to seduce a man and the other party refused, it would be even worse than hacking her.
"If he was willing to sleep with me, there wouldn't be so many things." Trish said helplessly as she spread out her hands.
Azeroth nodded. When men and women were happy, their guard would be the lowest, and with Trisley's skill. Even if her opponent was slightly stronger than Lesek, as long as she was in bed, Trisley would have a chance of successfully assassinating him.
"Where's his army?" Azes asked again.
Tracy smiled and shook her head, "That guy doesn't have any army. He's a few good men. But I can kill them all by myself. But he controls the mine, and some green crystals fall into his hands. When I left, he was using the green crystals to buy the townspeople and give them weapons to fight for him."
"A mob!"
Azes gently placed his hand on the bone staff.
The fluff on Trisley's neck quietly stood up.
"In other words, this opponent isn't that amazing." Azes looked at the woman and said with a faint smile.
Trisley put down the curved blade and raised her head, exposing the fatal part of her neck to Azeroth's gaze. She looked at the light shield on her head and said, "He's nothing special, but that's for you, boss. If I fight him, I'm the one who's going to get rid of him."
'"Is that so" Aziz whispered, "Tell me, can I trust you, Ms. Trisley?"
'"What do you mean, boss? Do you think that guy can bribe me? With what? A green glaze mine? Haha." Trisley lowered her head and looked at Azes in disbelief.
Azes nodded and said, "Yes, it's me too much. How can a character like Green Light Town, who refuses to let go of such a small place, have enough benefits to buy you off?"
"That is to say, but you suspected me just now. Boss, I need compensation!"
Azeroth felt a slight headache. Trisley was such a woman who would not let go of an opportunity. He asked, "How do you want to compensate?"
"Tie Shou is dead. After you take it back to the town, there won't be anyone else in charge of the town, right? At least temporarily." Tracy licked her lips and straightened her chest, "What do you think of me?"
Azes shook his head and said, "You're thinking of a mine, aren't you? Sure, after that, you'll get one-third of the profits from each mine."
"That's great. That way, I can kick that annoying guy Lesek away."
Blood Eye smiled helplessly in his heart. He stood up and said, "Rest well. Although your opponent is not that good, when attacking Green Light Town, I want you to fight me with all your might. You must let those fellows remember the past."
Trish didn't breathe a sigh of relief until Azes left the shield. She lay down, only to find that her back was covered in sweat. She whispered, "Almost, that old thing almost made a move, right? So close, this old fellow really isn't easy to cheat, but he still can't stump me, ha."
A week later, Azes saw the stone pillars in Green Light Town. He leaned on the bone staff and slowly walked forward with one hand behind his back. Behind him on the left was the graceful Trisley; On his right, he strode forward, dragging a heavy weapon in his hand and ploughing a shallow path through the snow.
Later, there were a thousand thugs from Blood Eye Town. These fugitives shouted loudly, their voices so loud that they could be clearly heard even in Green Light Town.
In Lim's hotel lobby, Alan put down his glass and said coolly, "They're coming. Let's go welcome our guests and send them to hell, if Agares has one."
He brought up Red King and walked out. Behind him, Laura and the others followed him one after another. Nick wanted to follow, but he threw a big hand back. Lim closed the door heavily and turned to look at Nick. "If you don't want to die, just stay quiet!"
Azes stopped about five hundred meters away from the town wall. This distance was within the blink of an eye for him, and if the other party underestimated him because of his aged appearance, Azes would be quite happy. He leaned on the bone staff in one hand and slowly raised his head. His gaze pierced through the hazy mist and landed on the town wall. The shadows could be seen shaking. Indeed, as Tracy had said, those were not guards, but townsfolk hired by outsiders.
Among them, there might be a few good hunters, but that was all.
"Who is so bold as to occupy my town?" Azeroth raised his voice. His hoarse voice was like iron sand that tempered the ground. Just listening to it made him feel uncomfortable.
As soon as he finished speaking, another voice rose from behind the wall, "Me!"
Afterwards, Azes saw a figure flash on the wall. The other party was holding a knife, wearing the armor commonly seen by the Bars, and his head of white hair was flying in the wind. Azeroth's gaze fell on the man's pair of bright red eyes, and he asked in surprise, "Human?"
He looked at Trisley with slight reproach, who did not tell him that the outsider was a human. Trish shrugged her shoulders and spread out her hands, to the effect that the other party's race was not related. Azes thought about it, too. Agares rarely saw humans. However, it wasn't a big deal. In Sunset City or Demoic Ring City, there were quite a few human slaves. They were kept as rare pets, and some great figures would compare the number of human slaves.
Even in the vast wilderness, the old Bone King had two human women. Even though their beauty was far inferior to that of the Bar women of Agares, the Bone King was never tired of these two humans.
"Then tell me, outsider. Do you know who owns this town?" Azes asked again.
Standing on the town wall, Ellen laughed, "I didn't know before, but it's hard not to know now. After all, you've already sent your men to greet me, haven't you?"
"Since you know who I am, it's easy. You can get rid of Iron Hand. Your strength is not bad. How about this, outsiders. Be loyal to me and serve me like Trisley and the others. Then you can stay in Green Light Town and I can go back now." Trisley sneered as Blood Eye stabbed the bone staff into the snow.
Trisley whispered, "Boss, this is different from what we agreed to."
"Shut up." Azes said with a headache.
A burst of laughter came from the town wall, and Azeroth's expression darkened. Alan looked at the old Barre with his saber in his arms and shook his head. "I think that should be the other way around. Azes, if you offer your loyalty, then you can leave alive today. Otherwise, there won't be any more Azes in the Wilderness from today onwards."
Azes was so angry that his body trembled slightly. The other party said this in front of his troops and subordinates, clearly wanting to make him unable to step down. "You'll regret it," Azes sneered.
"That's hard to say."
Blood Eye raised his hand, and the thousands of thugs behind him shouted loudly. As Azes pointed in the direction of the town, figures rushed past him. They said it was an army, but Azes didn't train these criminals on purpose. In the end, the army was just a tool to serve as a front, and in the great wasteland, what determined their status was the strength of the leader and the level of their subordinates' generals.
Therefore, Blood Eye's army was a gang of mobs. They didn't know what it meant to cover for each other, they only knew to keep charging forward. In any case, in their eyes, that small town wall, with less than a hundred soldiers guarding it, was not even a threat at all!
Seeing the army charge, the Barbarians hired by Alan turned ugly. A man closest to Alan whispered, "Your Excellency, you said you didn't need us to do anything. What about now?"
"Of course not." Alan smiled and shouted, "Hubble, what are you waiting for?"
Suddenly, an imposing aura soared into the sky, and the aura rising from the wall on the other side was so intense that even Azes let out a'yi 'sound. Afterwards, he saw the entire town gate shatter into pieces. Fragments shot out, nailing those Blood Eyed Soldiers who were running at the front to death on the spot. A tall figure rushed out of the door. Hubble was wearing a somewhat shoddy armor. The alloy axe swung a circle in his hand and swept across it, causing a blood mist to immediately splatter out. Nearly twenty Blood Eyed Soldiers were killed, and Hubble shouted as he threw his axe out.
The giant axe flew around, and the gray light was as big as a table, smashing straight into the army of Blood Eyes, cutting down countless soldiers along the way. Hubble followed behind the axe and rushed in. He punched and kicked, sending dozens of figures flying with each attack. When he picked up the axe, he spun it again, using the Death Storm he had used against Alan that day. However, the power of the current Hubble had almost doubled. The deadly tornado was as thick as an oil bucket, and the lightning snakes at the edge of the storm shot out. The huge suction force pulled the soldiers in and crushed them into pieces.
In the blink of an eye, a hundred Blood Eye troops had fallen.
Azeroth's eyelids twitched.
At this moment, a few more strands of imposing aura rose. Three figures rushed out of Green Light Town. The three of them had their own imposing auras, and their scattered Origin Energy radiance was different. The same thing was that wherever they crashed into the army, it was a bloody storm.
'"Trisley, Leslie, get rid of those people who are in the way!" Azes shouted.
'"Leave the Gatu man to me," said Leseck, with a buzzing voice.
Then he walked towards Hubble, his aura rising steadily. He did not increase his might to the extreme in one breath like everyone else. Instead, he piled up his Qi and pushed it towards Hubble. Hubble's Death Storm finally came to a halt. A vacuum appeared in the surroundings, and nearly a hundred Blood Eyed Soldiers were reduced to pieces. He chuckled dryly and suddenly felt a powerful pressure. The opponent's aura was like a wall of the Heavenly Sea, and even he felt suffocated.
Hubble was not shocked but delighted. He muttered, "Finally, an interesting fellow has arrived." He suddenly roared, his joints cracking and his body swelling. A violent murderous aura rose from the berserk aura, and Hubble activated the Berserk Slaughter mode.
In an instant, his combat strength reached Level 30!
On the other side, Trisley flashed towards Laura and the others. She tossed out the curved blade in her hand and pulled out a thin gray thread, circling around Laura and the others, gradually gathering them together. Amidst her busy schedule, Trisley still had time to look at Alan.
Allen looked at her, too, and then looked at Aziz, who said in his mind, "It's time, Mitinus. Let our army play."
"Yes, Your Highness." Mitinas replied.
Alan put down his hand that was wrapped around his chest and muttered, "Then I have to exercise too."
