Edge of the Apocalypse -
Chapter 1185: A Secret Journey
A drop of sweat rolled through Alan's firm nose, dripping down the tip of his nose, cutting through the air and dripping onto the smooth ground beneath his feet. Allen looked at his right hand. The ring-shaped part of the heavy press was tightly fitted into his arm. The internal pressure of the machine reached 50 tons. It was almost impossible for Allen to pull out his arm with just his physical strength. However, he never compromised. In the past, it was like this, but now it is like this.
"Good morning."
After another round of failed attempts, the room suddenly lit up. Alan hurriedly closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep. Then he heard Fendi laughing. "Stop pretending to be asleep, little lion," laughed the general of the Iron Fist Legion. "I've never seen anyone who sleeps so sweaty. To be honest, your acting is terrible."
Alan opened his eyes and looked at Fendi's hateful face. "What time is it now?" He said.
"Oh, I forgot that there is no sun here, and there is nothing to do with time. It's easy for people to lose their sense of time here. I can't tell you according to the rules, but who told me to like you so much? Well, I can tell you, it's eight o'clock in the morning. In three hours, 24 hours will have passed since you returned to Earth. Why, would you like a bottle of champagne to celebrate? "
"I'm not as interested as you are. General Fendi, perhaps you should consider letting me go. You know I've been back for so long, don't you think my family won't know anything about me?" Alan smiled and said, "That's right. Before I came back, I had already made some preparations just in case. It seems that it will come in handy now."
Fendi exaggeratedly held her head in her hands. "Oh my God, isn't our plan figured out?"
Then he laughed until he bent down and shook his head, "You're so cute, little lion." But unfortunately, your cleverness doesn't work in front of Uncle Fendi. Listen, we monitor all channels and communication networks connected to Beskard, and I can tell you responsibly, not to mention your information. Even a mosquito is resting under our noses. "
"I don't think Old Horn knows that his favorite grandson is already on the surface. He probably thought you were fighting on Planet Heaven."
'"Oh, really? Maybe you can monitor Beskard's network, but what about Sirius? Can you monitor even Marshal Greed's network? Of course you want to, but I guess you don't have that kind of ability," Alan said quietly.
Sirius' Red Wolf intelligence was well-known in the Federation. Windsor Belo had borrowed Red Wolf's intelligence system to earn pocket money. This was a well-known secret within the Federation. Fendi's smile stiffened. His expression was as if he was eating a big meal happily when he suddenly realized that he had swallowed a dead cockroach. He put away his smile and said in a low voice, "You should worry more about yourself, Mr. Allen. They collected your blood samples yesterday, and today, they want to do other research. Guess what they want to know?"
"You said yesterday that Mr. President won't let me die, right? Well, you guys can do your research. But how much time do you have? 24 hours? I guess there won't be more, right?" Alan looked at Fendy and said, "What good is it for you to do this?" Soon, my teacher, or family. Either way, they would interfere. At that time, if the matter here were to be exposed, it would be a major scandal in the Federation. What do you think the president will do, General Fendi, or perhaps you will label the president a lunatic under the nickname Butcher. "
"What do you think you are? Actually, you are nothing. When you need it, you are just a scapegoat."
Fendi suddenly dodged and punched Ellen in the abdomen. Alan opened his mouth wide, but he could not breathe in a single mouthful of air. Moments later, air poured in from his mouth and nostrils. Then, large mouthfuls of blood sprayed out from Allen's mouth and nostrils, splashing Fendi's hand. Fendy pulled Ellen's hair and pulled him up, almost against his cheek, and whispered, "Don't try to anger me, little lion." That won't do you any good. The president said he couldn't kill you, but he didn't say he couldn't beat you half to death. But that's too cheap for you, isn't it? Yes, Windsor Belo must have made a move, but we still have time, and I don't think it will be too short. Until then, I will let you know what hell is. "
He left Ellen and said to the research director, "Aren't you going to learn about his healing abilities today? Start now, and I'm happy to be part of it."
Fendy took out a scalpel from a medical kit carried by an assistant. He walked up to Allen and pointed it at his eyes. "Perhaps let's see if he can recover from his blindness?"
Cold sweat broke out on Ellen's forehead, and Fendy grinned, "Of course I'm joking." But then he sliced Alan's arm and pulled out a thin but deep wound. Alan clenched his teeth, not letting himself show weakness. Fendi laughed loudly and took out two more pliers to clamp the upper and lower ends of the wound. Then, she smiled cruelly at Allen and said, "Let's take a look at the bones of the Son of Twilight."
He grabbed the pair of pliers and suddenly pulled them up and down.
Alan heard his skin and muscles tearing apart!
He opened his mouth and let out a silent roar, engraving Fendi's face firmly in his mind.
Jamie, the bartender beside him, almost shouted when a thigh in his thick military boots kicked open the door of the Liquor Deer Bar, which was not really sturdy. Jamie was small and thin, but if he needed to, he would have more than ten pistols aimed at the rude guy outside the door as long as he shouted for a moment. But when he saw the sturdy figure in front of him and the rough face, the bartender swallowed his words back into his stomach.
Because he couldn't afford to offend the guy who came in, Jamie smiled and said, "What brings you here, Mr. Ron?"
Ron revealed his white teeth and stuffed a few small bills into the bartender's pocket. Then, he pulled him over with his big hand and asked softly, "Where is that old thing, Alpine Eagle?"
Jamie had a "I see" expression and said, "Mr. Alpine Eagle is in the room above. You know the old place."
Ron nodded and strode towards the stairs. The wooden staircase in the bar was cracked by him, and a man at the corner was crushing a woman in a corner. When he heard the footsteps, he scolded, "Get out of here!" Then, the woman in the corner saw the man who had been pressing down on him one second ago, and the next second, he had already flown downstairs and fell to the ground, gnawing on mud. The man cursed as he stood up and was about to rush forward to argue. Jamie picked up an empty bottle and smashed it into his head, knocking him unconscious.
"I'm saving you, idiot." The bartender shrugged at the man whose head was bleeding.
Ron pushed open a door, and the warm lamp water behind the door flowed through his body and eyes like flowing water. He saw a round table in the room, surrounded by a few stools, with only a short old man sitting on it and drinking wine. An old gramophone beside him was playing an old song from decades ago. The time here seemed to have frozen, and it stopped at a certain age.
"You didn't ask me to listen to the song with you in such a hurry, did you?" Ron pulled a stool and sat down beside the old man. He reached for the wine and glass on the table and poured himself a glass.
"I want to get a few tickets to Babylon. Of course, I can't fill in my identity," laughed the old man known as the "Alpine Eagle."
"Black ticket?" Ron grinned and said, "This isn't easy, old man. It's been pretty tight lately. I have connections, but I can't help it."
"I won't let you work in vain."
"You don't understand. This is an extraordinary time. No matter how much money I have, I won't do it." Ron finished his glass and shook it, "Thank you for the wine. Next time you come to my place, I'll treat you to a better drink."
Suddenly the door was pushed open and a female voice sounded, "Please do me a favor, Second Lieutenant Ron."
Ron smiled and suddenly pulled out a magical pistol from behind his waist and pointed it at the door, moving faster than lightning. But when he saw the people by the door, he was stunned, and then he whispered, "Miss Adele, why are you?"
'"It's a long story, but we can't swagger back to Babylon now, so we need your help," shrugged Adele, who was standing at the door in her ill-fitting menswear.
"You guys?" Ron narrowed his eyes. "Who are they?"
Adele raised her five fingers.
"That's not a small number" Ron nodded. "Well, since Miss Adele has spoken, I have to help no matter what."
Adele was obviously relieved, and nodded, "Thank you very much."
This was what she said from the bottom of her heart. Ron agreed without asking anything. Just this was very interesting.
Ron gestured for a moment and called the bartender outside for a pen and paper. He quickly wrote a line of information on the paper and handed it to Adele, "Come to this address by noon tomorrow. If you don't know the way, it doesn't matter. That old man Gao Shanying recognizes it."
The old man raised his glass to Ron and said, "You're so kind."
"It should be." Ron didn't seem to recognize the old man's mocking tone and answered seriously, causing the latter to roll his eyes and shake his head to continue drinking.
Adele put away the note and said goodbye. With the care of the old man, the bartender took her out of another passage. She came into the alley from the back-kitchen of the bar, and Adele put on a hat, which made it hard to see her in such a night. After circling the small town a few times, she confirmed that no one was following her and got into a garage. This was where Alpine Eagle had found them a place to stay. In the garage, there were Edward and the others.
They returned to Earth at noon, and the journey could be said to have taken place in complete secrecy. Unaware of the latest developments in Allen, Edward did not dare to rashly return to Babylon. Instead, he contacted some reliable people through Adele's connections and secretly sent them back to Babylon. Alpine Eagle and Second Lieutenant Ron, who had trained Alan, were among them.
