Chapter 59: Don’t You Dare!
Chapter 59: Chapter 59: Don’t You Dare!
Aron and Nate are getting along just fine now...
But Aron is still no better than a wild beast.
Now, I don’t know why that was. I gave him blood. I gave him mana. I offered up all of Nate on a silver platter.
From which Aron served himself more than once.
But Aron still didn’t seem to be able to go back to being normal.
"Back!" Nate snapped his fingers and Aron was naked... and back in his cage. "I can’t anymore! I can’t! Darn it!"
"Now you know how I feel," I rested my head on top of his shoulder. Now that I knew what he had been trying to make me feel in my tent, I knew to appreciate his efforts.
"What do you mean?" He snapped, as he shrugged me off himself. I pouted.
"No cuddling now means no cuddling later," I tried to get him back, but he just began to look around.
"I need a bath," oh, yes, we both did. And Aron. But he was looking at us, so I was certain that he was going to make sure that the bath time wasn’t very productive.
"Ok," I figured that now that I got what I wanted, and Aron got what he wanted too, I guess, Nate should get what he wanted.
The steaming bathtub was big enough for three.
I began to look at Nate with the sad eyes of a newborn puppy.
"No," he actually even splashed some water my way! What the...
"I thought you wanted it?" I asked, as I made my way to him.
He splashed me again as I sat in the bathtub by his side. What a spoiled prince!
"Not from him!"
My eyes widened. Had I just...?
He flicked me on the nose.
"Ok, maybe a little bit from him. I mean, if I wanted for him to stop, I would have stopped him."
Fair enough. He did manage to put Aron in a cage.
"But, darn," Nate breathed out, as he looked at Aron, who... was licking his own wrist. "He’s starving, isn’t he?"
Ah, so now he noticed! Good on him!
"We need a lot of blood for him," I already knew from where I could get him the blood, but I needed him clean and semi-himself for this. "And my humans can be talked into this. But... Nate, is there a way for you to do something about him being like... this?"
"Like a wild beast?" Nate asked with a smirk. "Even if I am dying from hunger, I will never turn into a beast."
The gloating was there. I wanted to tell him that Aron had his good side.
Good side I finally managed to sample, which to be fair, I should have known was there.
But I needed his help.
"Nate," I whispered it in his ear. Knowing that he was still riding the high of what Aron did to him. "Please. For me?"
He grabbed me, and I was soon in his lap. I whimpered when I felt him inside of me.
Huh... he was so freaking big. It wasn’t fair how perfect he was!
"Sylvan..."
I was right. The bathwater got dirty. We didn’t get clean.
But I did get what I wanted!
0000
Aron’s eyes were shining, and he looked like the cat that got the cream. Which, to be fair, wasn’t quite the truth.
Considering that Nate had forced him into a contract seconds prior.
"Nate?" I wondered if Nate, who was sleeping off our activities in the bathtub, could hear me with Aron’s ears.
It was fascinating what a Boliarin could do to the undead! It should be studied more!
"Yes, my heart?" The voice was Aron’s, but I could hear how Nate was purring it. Did he really just want some good bedroom sport all this time?
Did that mean I could rope him into cooking with me?
"You’re thinking about cooking, aren’t you?" Aron’s lips moved, but it was Nate’s body that let out the huff.
"This is weird," I told them both.
"We know," this time, I could swear that it was Aron who spoke!
"Aron?" I was in his arms in an instant.
"Still Nate. But Aron is slowly coming back to himself," Aron pressed his lips to my hair. Now, that couldn’t have been Nate! "See?"
"Ok, you both stay in here!" I told them, as I kissed Aron on the cheek. I could see the strange sadness in one red eye and the annoyance in the other. "This really is weird."
"We know," I could almost hear two voices merged in one this time!
"Truly weird," on my way out of the barrier, I leaned into Nate’s resting body, kissing him on the cheek as well. "But I love you both."
I didn’t wait for an answer. Just ran out of there before I could hear them bicker.
0000
"They are your fathers!" I told Mordred and Mortimer, who were looking at the barrier so, as if it could bite them.
"Dad," Mordred said, as he edged towards the entrance. "Papa Aron just took the blood of a Boliarin and a Nymph. If you put more Boliarin or even Lich blood in him, he might end up an Archdemon. Or worse! A Dark Lord!"
I snorted.
"Your father is sunshine and lollipops!" I smirked when they both blushed. "And he won’t morph into an eldritch horror! Now in the barrier with you!"
"No!" Morty yelled, taking a step before his brother. "You only remembered about us because you need our help! If you didn’t need us, you wouldn’t have cared!"
Which was true. They were my children, but they had been little for such a short time that I simply hadn’t managed to form a bond with them.
"Your fathers need you," I didn’t deny Morty’s accusation. He didn’t deserve to be lied to. "Please."
"No!" Morty grabbed his brother and ran off.
I sighed.
"Sylvan?" Anne had her sleeves rolled up. Grannie Almira was behind her, her sleeves also rolled up. "We’ll help you!"
I blinked when I saw all of my humans and the gnomes there, with rolled-up sleeves or in sweatshirts.
Ready to donate blood.
"I..."
I nodded, deciding that the time for tears, even ones of joy, was over. After all, I could do something about it all now!
"Thank you!"
But I still felt like saying the magic words.
Because my family deserved to hear them. Deserved to know I valued them.
Something my children were going to find out as well, as soon as I healed their father.
