Chapter 109: 056 Impending Storm
Shen You’an wasn’t someone to hold grudges, especially since she was the one who had asked the other person to clean up, but failed to give clear instructions.
As she placed her belongings into the wardrobe, Shen You’an only then noticed that there wasn’t a single dress inside—just black and white T-shirts and sweatpants, all in nearly identical styles.
The only items that reminded her she was a girl were the pink, girlish bras and the school uniform.
"Clack." She shut the wardrobe door, walked out of the room, and knocked on the door of the adjacent room.
"Come out and eat."
The door opened a crack, and Rong Xianning walked out.
He glanced up at Shen You’an. Shen You’an didn’t even glance at him; she brought bowls and chopsticks out from the kitchen and sat down at the dining table.
Rong Xianning pressed his lips together and went over to sit down.
Shen You’an pushed a bowl of rice in front of him. "Eat."
Rong Xianning silently picked up his chopsticks.
The two didn’t exchange a single word; the only sound for a while was the crisp collision of chopsticks against porcelain bowls.
After they finished eating, Shen You’an left her bowl behind and went back to her room.
Rong Xianning instinctively glanced at the tightly closed room door, the grip on his chopsticks tightening.
In her room, Shen You’an buried herself in the system’s question banks, continuously tackling problems, not stopping for even a moment. Unknowingly, night had fallen.
Shen You’an got up and went out, heading to the kitchen to get some water to drink.
The bathroom light was still on, and the sound of running water could be heard inside.
Rong Xianning came out after finishing his hot shower and returned to his room. On his bedside table lay a manga book.
"I Am the Moon."
On the blue cover, a round moon spilled its soft moonlight, falling onto the earth’s flowers, birds, insects, and fish.
Beside it was a line of words that warmed the heart.
"An important person once told me about a place where I could shine freely, just as I wished."

Song Qi returned home under the starry night.
On the sofa, the two people seated there stood up immediately.
"Why are you back so late? And reeking of alcohol again," the woman said, fanning her nose, but that smell seemed to pervade the air regardless.
"Uncle." Song Xiaojing quickly poured a cup of warm water and brought it over, helping Song Qi drink it down.
After finishing the water, Song Qi slumped onto the sofa, massaging his throbbing head.
"How did the talk with President Lei go? Is there still a chance for Yongrui?"
The woman shook Song Qi urgently, her impatience evident.
Song Qi pushed himself up into a sitting position. "Let me tell you, the LP for this fund is a venture capital firm from Chunzhou. After some digging, I found out that this firm’s sole shareholder is none other than the Xie Group from Chunzhou."
The Xie Group?
The woman furrowed her brows. Xie Beichun had been a famous name in the financial world. After the incident involving him, it had caused a huge national stir; everyone had followed the news.
"Didn’t Xie Beichun get into trouble?"
"I asked some friends in Chunzhou to look into it. The new chairman who has taken charge is far from an ordinary character. To be able to secure LP status for this fund is no small feat and shouldn’t be underestimated."
"So what? Chunzhou is miles away from here. How well could they even understand the situation in Qingzhou?"
Song Qi waved dismissively. "For now, don’t act rashly. The key is to see what Yuanda Group decides. I’ll find an opportunity when the time comes."
The woman could only sigh in frustration. "Alright then."
Song Xiaojing carried over a bowl of hangover soup from the kitchen and knelt beside Song Qi. "Uncle, drink the hangover soup quickly."
Song Qi looked at Song Xiaojing, a thought suddenly occurring to him. "Shen You’an...is she your classmate?"
Song Xiaojing’s hand holding the bowl trembled. She instinctively looked up. "Uncle, do you know Shen You’an?"
Song Qi let out a cold laugh.
Song Xiaojing immediately said, "She’s our class’s number one student. The teachers, and even the higher-ups at Lanya Group, all value her greatly and provide her with focused mentorship. But the only thing she has going for her is her grades. With her family background, she absolutely shouldn’t have been able to set foot into Lanya High School or share a classroom with us. Just because she gets good grades, the company gives her special privileges. Back in middle school, she even reported a girl to the board of directors just for saying a few things about her. The school ended up expelling that girl."
That expelled girl just happened to be one of Song Xiaojing’s best friends, so her hatred for Shen You’an ran deeper than anyone else’s.
A person from such a lowly background—how could they deserve to share a classroom with her?
Song Qi narrowed his eyes. "So that’s how it is."
Song Xiaojing pressed further. "Uncle, how do you know Shen You’an?"
Song Qi said, "Her uncle is one of my subordinates. He took on a project, and now he’s acting all high and mighty. Truly, when small people gain power, their arrogance knows no bounds."
Song Qi’s wife, Madam Huang Zhen, who was also the heiress of Yongrui Fund, immediately said, "You mean Zhang Jian from your bank?"
"That’s right." Song Qi’s eyes were filled with coldness.
Huang Zhen curled her lip, her tone laced with superiority. "People from the lower class never seem able to rid themselves of their inherent baseness."
