Chapter 1181 - Chapter 1181 Chapter 1185 Divine Beast in the Painting
Chapter 1181: Chapter 1185: Divine Beast in the Painting Chapter 1181: Chapter 1185: Divine Beast in the Painting …
The streets of the Divine Temple were lengthy, with lights still shining through the night. Silk and color paintings made this vibrant ancient alley even more enchanting, as people dressed neatly strolled through it with smiles on their faces.
Unaware of everything happening on another plane, they remained as peaceful as usual.
Nan Lingsha stood silently atop the Divine Temple’s Star Picking Pavilion, like the most splendid star in the night sky. In front of her still lay a painting as large as a desk, its depicted scene a stark contrast to the serene moment before her eyes–within her artwork, smoke and blood formed rivers, intertwining lightning and fire into an apocalyptic vision!
Everything in the painting was slowly transforming; the scenery was being destroyed, crowds within it were brawling. Looking down at everything in the painting, Nan Lingsha’s icy eyes revealed the pride of a deity.
The mortal realm was firmly within her grasp.
…
Time ticked away by the second.
Finally, two figures burst out of the painting. They initially appeared as tiny ink spots, but as they unleashed their divine power and soared towards the canvas sky, the scroll violently trembled, ripples in the air swirling around them in incredible patterns…
Among these ripples, an imposing Arhat and a female Asura emerged, both clearly having reached Divine Monarch Level strength.
Their entire bodies were soaked in blood-red, with raging anger transformed into a blood-red flame fiercely burning around them.
Apart from them, all others remained forever within that painting. Now, they only wished to tear the Paint Immortal into shreds, an act necessary to extinguish the hate in their hearts!!
“Now, let’s see what tricks you have left!!” The imposing Arhat took steps forward, advancing towards Nan Lingsha step by step.
Nan Lingsha’s paintbrush had dried up, and countless discarded sheets of paper lay scattered in front of her.
She bit her finger, dripping her own blood onto the brush, using blood to paint–suddenly, special papers on the floor fluttered into the air, flying back and forth in front of her as she simultaneously painted on all of them.
These sheets already bore images, as if sealed within the paintings; Nan Lingsha was not redrawing them but simply adding the most crucial stroke!
An ancient Azure Dragon received a pair of blood-red eyes from Nan Lingsha’s touch.
In an instant, the Dragon came to life within the painting, bursting through the wall, its claws flailing, positioning its body like a mountain range between the imposing Arhat and Nan Lingsha.
A noble Rosy Phoenix was bestowed with plume feathers by Nan Lingsha’s brush.
Mist enveloped it as the Rosy Phoenix awoke, spreading its magnificently beautiful wings, haughtily hovering above Nan Lingsha. It was as if Nan Lingsha’s soul had left her body, elevating her to an untouchable status.
The expression of the imposing Arhat and the female Asura darkened a bit.
They thought that once they broke free from the painted world, they could manipulate the Paint Immortal as they wished. Little did they know of the extent of her Divine Skills–capable of bringing painted creatures to life!
That these creatures had come to life was one thing, but they could distinctly feel the primordial power within the freshly animated Azure Dragon and Rosy Phoenix, strength that surely did not pale in comparison to their own!
Could beings within a painting possess such Cultivation Base??
The imposing Arhat and female Asura knew they had no retreat left, that they must fight to the death against this Paint Immortal!
The Arhat charged towards the Azure Dragon, fighting it with his savage strength.
The female Asura stepped towards the Rosy Phoenix, her ten arms each conjuring an ancient Divine Weapon. She believed such sorcery must have its flaws, surely not comparable to a real Rosy Phoenix, so engaging it in battle, the Rosy Phoenix would soon dissolve into mere ink!!
However, both the female Asura and the Arhat underestimated Nan Lingsha’s strength.
The Divine Beasts she summoned with her spells were as powerful as their real counterparts. When Nan Lingsha was painting and bestowing life upon these Divine Beasts, she also risked her life, and the pivotal stroke was even imbued with her own Divine Blood.
Despite going all out, the Arhat and the female Asura ultimately perished alongside the two Divine Beasts.
Had they not suffered the torment and battles within the painting, they could have subdued these painted Divine Beasts, but their Divine Power had been greatly depleted within the painting!
“You’re not far from death either!” The Arhat was exhausted but still refused to submit.
Nan Lingsha waved her hand carelessly, substituting brush strokes for the radiance of the sword, and brutally chopped off the Arhat’s head!
Beside them, the female Asura, seeing this scene and wanting to plead for mercy, but Nan Lingsha didn’t even give her the chance to speak.
A line of ink, falling from the sky like a python, wound around the female Asura’s neck, and as Nan Lingsha pulled upward with force, the female Asura’s body was hung, her neck broken!
Gradually, some individuals from Tianshu God Manor managed to escape from the terrifying Purgatory within the painting, including the Flower God and Hua Chong.
Following them were a group of battered and defeated soldiers.
However, upon stepping out of the painting, they were greeted with the sight of two Divine Monarchs, the Arhat and the female Asura, having been executed, and when their gaze turned to the veiled Nan Lingsha, a sense of terror slithered over every inch of their skin like a poisonous snake, threatening to crawl into their throats and penetrate their very being!!
They stepped back, not daring to move any closer.
Recalling their first encounter with this painter in Flower City, her revealed strength hadn’t seemed as terrifying as now!!
But as they retreated, several figures suddenly appeared in the courtyard of the Divine Temple.
They had not shown themselves earlier, nor had they entered the painting, even waiting until the Arhat and the female Asura were dead before they appeared.
“Who would have thought that beside Li Yunzi there lay such a powerful Paint Immortal,” said a female holding the Sword of Cold Frost of Wen Bamboo.
“Who are you?” Nan Lingsha had not seen this person before.
“Nangong Swordsman Xi Ji,” the woman said.
“Nangong Sword Immortal, why didn’t you appear earlier? Perhaps these two did not need to die,” Hua Chong spoke up.
“How could we be sure we aren’t still within her painting if they didn’t die?” Nangong Swordsman Xi Ji suddenly smiled.
Hua Chong and the Flower God were taken aback, finding Nangong Swordsman Xi Ji’s smile to be bone-chillingly cold.
“To construct such a painting and summon two painted Divine Beasts, your Mana must have been drained by now, I must admit, you’re one of the most powerful deities I’ve ever seen, it’s just a shame you cannot escape death! If you do not struggle, I can grant you a swift end!” Nangong Swordsman Xi Ji said.
By Nangong Sword Immortal’s side stood a man in a Dark Dragon Robe and holding a sword, with a bamboo hat on his head; he exuded an evil aura. Under Eternal Darkness, this man resembled a deep and icy cave; approaching him gave one a feeling of extreme danger.
