Chapter 1013 - Chapter 1013 Chapter 1017 Biological Sister
Chapter 1013: Chapter 1017: Biological Sister? Chapter 1013: Chapter 1017: Biological Sister? Lu Wu stepped down??
She was caught red-handed!!
So, it seems Yuheng Immortal is not just a good-for-nothing after all!
Meng Bingci is taking over Lu Wu’s position??
What’s going on, is she really that powerful??
Although back in the Miao Mountain Sword Sect, Zhu Minglang could already sense that Meng Bingci’s cultivation base and realm were somewhat unattainable, it couldn’t have been to such an exaggerated extent, right?
Or could it be that his cool mother had an extraordinary background?!
Honestly, he really wasn’t familiar with his biological mother; her origins and background were a complete mystery to Zhu Minglang.
“Linghu Shen, bring the person here,” a young woman’s voice came from the ethereal clouds enveloping the immortal mountain at that moment.
“Yes!!” The man with the Golden Sword kneeling on the ground hastily bowed before responding without a moment’s hesitation.
The Golden Sword man stood up, stealing a glance at Zhu Minglang, who had caused such an uproar, evident disgust still lingering in his eyes.
Zhu Minglang hadn’t expected things to escalate to such a degree either.
In Zhu Minglang’s view, Meng Bingci should have been a member of the Yuheng Star Palace, and even if she came from an impressive background, at most, she would be just a member of a God’s Descendant clan within the palace. Who could have known that after such a brief return to the Yuheng Star Palace, she would become God’s Head…
Moreover, the position of God’s Head was not something one could attain simply by having strength; one must be a person in whom Yuheng Immortal had considerable trust.
“Disperse, everyone, disperse; if anyone spreads rumors about today’s events, they will be expelled from the Star Palace!” the man with the Golden Sword coldly told the crowd.
Not to spread rumors, but that didn’t mean they couldn’t discuss the facts!
Many had already thought this in their hearts, and after dispersing, they began to frenetically share the news.
…
Zhu Minglang was puzzled about who the person speaking from on high was.
With just a single sentence, she seemed to have quelled the entire dispute, including the two individuals he had injured; they too seemed not to dare object any further.
“You’re called Linghu Shen?” Zhu Minglang, riding his Flying Sword, followed Linghu Shen as they flew towards the higher altitudes.
“Yes, whether what you’ve said is true or false, you’d better keep your mouth shut for now, and don’t damage Meng Zun’s reputation any further,” Linghu Shen warned.
“Do you know Linghu Ling? I’m very familiar with her. After parting ways with her in Tiangong White Earth, I’ve been unaware of her whereabouts or whether she’s safe,” Zhu Minglang said.
“She violated our Star Palace’s principles, recklessly clashing with the divine powers of Tian Shu God Manor, and has since been expelled from the Star Palace, sent to wander and reflect upon her actions!” Linghu Shen replied irritably.
“Oh, is she safe though?” Zhu Minglang continued to inquire.
“What relation do you have with her, and why should you worry about her affairs?” Linghu Shen said.
“I just want to know if she’s safe,” Zhu Minglang emphasized once again.
“She’s safe, safe! I visited her a month ago. She’s broken through her cultivation barriers, and with her talent and abilities, she will only continue to ascend rapidly. Her prospects are limitless. If someone like you, who looks to climb by attaching to a dragon, dares to disturb her, I will show no mercy!!” Linghu Shen said.
“That’s good to hear, very good,” Zhu Minglang let out a long sigh of relief.
It was good to know Linghu Ling was unharmed.
She must have found her destiny and was now in the phase of ascending to an even higher peak.
During such times, what she needed most was peace of mind.
Everyone was diligently cultivating, indeed.
…
Passing through many floating divine mountains to higher altitudes, the sunlight turned exceptionally gentle, much like strands of golden-hued silk ribbons, slowly falling along the arc of the sky.
In the center where countless heaven lights draped down, there stood a cold Jade Palace, lush with jade bamboo, beautiful, and holy. Beneath the tender heaven light, it quietly graced the surroundings like a picturesque scroll.
Flying into this cold Jade Palace, Zhu Minglang saw a Snow Pavilion, with its extreme simplicity. A snow fleece carpet lay spread out, along with a long jade table, a few teacups, and a pot of Snow Leaf Tea.
In front of the jade table, a woman sat quietly.
Her long hair draped over her hips, her hair accessories simple yet enchanting. She wore a slightly slouchy, loose sword robe that was nonetheless revealing of her tempting figure through the soft, smooth fabric.
Linghu Shen had only escorted Zhu Minglang to the pavilion before withdrawing silently without a word.
Zhu Minglang walked toward the woman, who invited him to sit opposite her.
Zhu Minglang sized her up, and she unabashedly scrutinized Zhu Minglang in return, even leaning forward intentionally, revealing a tantalizing expanse of snowy white and fullness through her slightly low-cut neckline.
Zhu Minglang quickly averted his gaze, daring not to study her so earnestly any longer.
The woman in front of him gave Zhu Minglang a very strange feeling.
He couldn’t determine her age.
She possessed both the fresh tenderness of a young girl and the allure and dignity of a mature woman. Although her eyes were clear, as if untouched by the dust of the mortal world, like an innocent girl, the certainty and confidence on her face seemed to reflect a woman of vast experience.
“They don’t believe in you, but I do, Bingci is your mother,” the woman spoke with an affable tone akin to the girl next door, her smile equally warm.
“Why?” Zhu Minglang asked, puzzled.
“You resemble her quite closely. They say boys take after their mothers,” the woman explained.
“If everyone in your Star Palace had your discernment, things wouldn’t have become so awkward. I traversed hills and valleys not for the vistas, but to seek kin, only to find that even getting a message through is so difficult with your people, blind to all but their own,” Zhu Minglang said with irritation.
“They are always like this, arrogant in their ignorance, always thinking that with the Yuheng Immortal to back them up, they can despise anyone. I too detest this attitude of theirs,” the woman added.
“Finally, someone reasonable. May I know who the lady is?” Zhu Minglang breathed a sigh of relief and then greeted her with a scholar’s bow, inquiring.
“We’re relatives!”
“A cousin I’ve never met?” Zhu Minglang took another careful look and suggested.
Overall, Zhu Minglang felt the woman in front of him seemed younger than himself.
But the woman shook her head, then flashed a somewhat playful and charming smile, and even winked, saying, “I am your elder sister!”
“Oh, oh… Elder sister,” Zhu Minglang quickly bowed again, his manners much more earnest this time.
“Your biological elder sister.”
“Oh, oh… What!” Zhu Minglang stumbled, nearly falling onto the jade table in front of him.
The tea had been spilled by Zhu Minglang.
Having finally settled back down, Zhu Minglang started to take a fresh look at the woman…
Come to think of it, she did bear a resemblance to his own mother!
No way!!
Half-siblings…
His mother was remarried!
Did his own father know??
Thankfully, Zhu Heavenly Officer did not come in person, or else he would have to leave with tears.
Sigh, should he tell him about this?
Looking at this woman’s features, there was a nine out of ten chance he was not mistaken.
He hadn’t expected that his mother already had a family in the Yuheng Star Palace, no wonder she was always so distant with the family she later formed. Upon meeting this unknown biological elder sister for the first time, Zhu Minglang finally unraveled years of confusion and emotional knots.
