Dragon Genesis: I Can Create Dragons
Chapter 286 - 286: Their adventure had come to an end.

"What can you give me that Drakthar cannot?"

Kael questioned with an amused look on his face.

Of course, he had no plans of going anywhere, but he wanted to know how far these people would go.

And who knows?

He might get some interesting information out of it.

"If you follow me, you will be taken to the Zephyria's Treasury. There, you will be allowed to pick any artifact of your liking."

Captain Aeron answered.

"And what are those artifacts?"

"I cannot tell you that."

"So what you are saying is…

You want me to come with you without knowing what you are going to offer me, is that correct?"

Kael raised his eyebrow.

"It is a national security issue, I hope you will understand."

"So you do not trust me with this information."

"It is not about trusting you or not, Hero Kael. We cannot allow anyone who is not affiliated with the Sky Kingdom to know what treasures we hold. Some of these artifacts are strong enough to turn a war around. If information regarding these is leak—"

"I thought I was affiliated with all the nations who wanted to stand up against the Twilight and Corruption."

Kael interrupted.

"I guess I was wrong, huh…"

"It is not like that…"

Captain Aeron tried to get control over the conversation again but—

"Oh? Then please explain it to me, Captain. What is it like?"

—Clearly, it wasn't working.

"…Why don't you come with me to the Sky Kingdom? We can discuss things more openly there."

"What is it that you are so open to discuss in the Sky Kingdom but are hesitant to do so here? How are the two situations different, I wonder?"

Kael then looked into the Captain's eyes and,

"Is it because I wouldn't be able to escape from the Kingdom?"

"No, of course not. That is no—"

"Haaah..."

Kael sighed again.

"This conversation was pointless. You do not give me any reason to follow you to the Sky Kingdom, so let's end this here."

"I apologize, Hero Kael."

The Captain momentarily lowered his head, soon, however, his eyes turned sharp and,

"But you never had the power to end the conversation as you desire. I was ordered to bring you and I will not leave witho—"

"This is where you are mistaken, Aeron Vael."

Once again, Kael interrupted.

Then, a light grin appeared on his face and,

"I always had the power,

Much more than you can imagine."

"Wha—"

Aeron frowned, he wanted to question what Kael meant by that, but suddenly,

"RRROOOOAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!"

The Red Dragon roared, sending shivers down his spine. It wasn't just him, even the Storm Wyrm, Aeris, he was sitting on, started to tremble, feeling the dread of the Primordial Being who had been silent all this while.

Some weak-willed Beasts froze, so much so that they couldn't even stay in the air and began to freefall. They only managed to move when they were about to hit the ground.

"Aer—"

Captain Aeron called out in horror, trying to calm his Bond, but this was just the beginning. There were a lot of things he had to worry about.

"RRRROOOOOAAAAARRRR!!!"

The Dragon roared again. Destructive flames came out of his mouth so quickly that even the Flying Beasts, known for their high agility and evasion skills, could only stand still and be devoured.

"AAGGGGGHHHH!!!"

The Captain screamed, covered his eyes out of instinct, but then,

"—huh?"

Even after a few seconds passed, nothing happened.

Slowly, he opened his eyes and…

"…shit."

Kael was nowhere to be found.

He looked around, only to see his men covered their eyes, all their Bonds trembled in fear. And how could they not?

They just faced a being from legends. Even the strongest of Magic Beasts would tremble at the sight of such a being. It was a fear ingrained into their very being.

But—

"HE RAN AWAY!"

Captain Aeron shouted in anger.

"Look for him!! He couldn't have gone far!! Spread out!"

The orders were given, instantly bringing all the Platoon members out of their reverie. They all opened their eyes, taken aback by what just happened.

"What are you waiting for!?

SPREAD OUT!!!"

Aeron shouted again.

"YES, CAPTAIN!!"

The Platoon members moved in unison and spread out.

Searching for Kael in every direction.

About 30 minutes later, when the area was cleared and no Platoon member could be seen here,

"Father."

An adorable voice was heard.

It wasn't clear where the voice came from since no being was in sight. It was almost as if the being was invisible.

And that was true.

Cirri, who had been together with Kael all this while in her Sky Form, was waiting for everyone to disappear and was keeping an eye out for her father, who was hiding in his Sanctuary.

"You can come out now, they are gone."

Cirri spoke with a light chuckle. To her, this was like a game of hide and seek—a game where she was in her father's team.

The moment she said those words, a portal opened to where Kael once stood, and Kael walked out.

Cirri had already prepared a wind step for him so he didn't fall. The little Dragon then materialized in her father's arms with a big smile on her face. After all, they had won the game.

"Father!"

Kael chuckled as he gently cuddled with his daughter.

"Shall we return?"

He questioned.

"Vita and others must be waiting at the Ship."

This was the arrangement they had made. While Kael moved around with Igni, Imperia, and Cirri, Lavinia, Fox, and the Ants stayed at the Ship. Vitaria had to be there to hide the Ants from the shipmen. Lavinia didn't come because she wanted to hide her existence for a little longer. The Ant Queen, Xix'rah, stayed with Lavinia, making sure to report to Imperia in case something happened.

"Let's go."

Cirri nodded, Igni came out as well, and once again, Kael rode his firstborn.

Their adventure had come to an end.
