Bibi Dong’s expression showed a hint of pride as she declared confidently,

“My personal disciple, Hu Liena, along with two other talented Soul Masters we’ve brought under the Spirit Hall’s wing.”

“They’ve just broken through Rank 50 and have yet to absorb their next Spirit Ring.”

“Hu Liena is also the youngest Soul Master within the Spirit Hall. I advise you to be careful—don’t let any inappropriate ideas take root.”

“Otherwise, Spirit Hall will not rest until the matter is settled—one way or another.”

As Bibi Dong spoke, a faint glint of threat flickered in her eyes, and a cold, oppressive aura radiated from her body.

Lin Fan chuckled softly and replied,

“Your Holiness need not worry. I propose to establish an academy here in Spirit City, specifically to train these students.”

“This way, Spirit Hall can engage in further cooperation with us. You’ll also be free to supervise the process directly. What do you think, Your Holiness?”

Bibi Dong’s heart stirred slightly at those words.

She had to admit—it was more reassuring to have Lin Fan remain within Spirit City, where she could keep an eye on him, rather than letting him take these valuable talents elsewhere. Ultimately, it was the more favorable choice.

After weighing the pros and cons, Bibi Dong quickly came to a decision.

She nodded. “Very well. Spirit Hall will provide you with a suitable location and assist in establishing the academy.”

Lin Fan smiled casually, unaffected.

With his access to tunneling Zerg worms, traveling anywhere was a trivial matter for him.

These natives of this world are still far too young…

Bibi Dong continued, “If you need anything, just tell me. I’ll have my people support you fully.”

“There’s no need for much. Just have the academy constructed. That’s all I require.”

“Oh, and one more thing—please ensure that the residential and training areas offer both space and privacy. We’ll be conducting… special training. It’s best if others aren’t able to observe and mimic it.”

A glint of understanding flashed through Bibi Dong’s eyes. She nodded once more.

“Give me one week. Everything will be ready.”

“No rush. Then I’ll return to visit Your Holiness in a week’s time. For now, I’ll take my leave.”

With that, Lin Fan turned and strode confidently out of the Pope’s Hall.

Bibi Dong watched him leave, a contemplative look in her eyes.

She slowly summoned her Soul Power, calling for her attendants.

Outside the Pope’s Hall.

Lin Fan stepped outside, head slightly lowered, his expression serious.

He closed his eyes and mentally connected to the Zerg Hive Network.

A dazzling red node flared brightly within the network—it radiated a mental presence comparable to Xiao Wu’s.

At the same time, a crimson thread became visible to his spiritual perception. The thread extended… toward the rear of Spirit Hall.

“Qian Renxue…”

Lin Fan immediately understood, but his brow furrowed slightly.

Where has she been?

When I previously sensed her mental presence, she was clearly not inside Spirit Hall.

So why has she suddenly returned now?

His eyes flickered with contemplation.

He glanced around.

Being just outside the Pope’s Hall, the surrounding security was light—barely any attendants or guards could be seen all the way to the rear section of the Hall.

Perfect timing.

Qian Renxue… as the Zerg Blade Queen, you’ve been wandering around on your own long enough. Isn’t it time to meet your Swarm Overlord again?

A sly, dangerous smile curved Lin Fan’s lips.

Then his form blurred, vanishing into the shadows like a darting wraith.

Qian Renxue’s Chambers.

On her bed, Qian Renxue’s brows were tightly furrowed. A sheen of sweat coated her face, and anxiety etched every line of her unconscious expression.

Her body twisted restlessly in her sleep.

“Haaah!!”

Huff… huff…

With a gasp, Qian Renxue jolted upright, breathing heavily. Yet the tension in her brow remained.

Slowly, she brought a hand to her forehead, her eyes filled with deep confusion and fear.

“Master… what… what is this feeling?”

“Why… does he feel so familiar to me?”

Qian Renxue struggled to piece together fragments of her dream.

Broken, scattered memories flashed through her mind like shards of glass, but none would settle into something coherent.

She couldn’t remember the exact events… or the locations where they supposedly occurred.

Which made her wonder—had any of it truly happened?

Or was it all just… a dream?

She shook her head and wiped the sweat from her face.

But then, out of the corner of her eye—she noticed it.

A thin, crimson thread.

What’s that?

She slowly reached for it, hand trembling as she tried to touch the strand.

Yet her fingers passed through it, as if grasping air.

It was only then that she realized—the red thread was not physically present. It existed inside her mind.

But what is it?

Does it have anything to do with my memories?

Heaven Dou Empire – Fasno Province – Holy Soul Village.

Deep within the back hills, what was once a lush forest had undergone a horrific transformation.

The once-vibrant green leaves had withered to a sickly yellow, clinging sparsely to the branches.

Sturdy, life-filled trees now stood gnarled and shrunken, their twisted trunks like broken limbs clawing the earth.

The ground had become a barren, desolate stretch—covered entirely by an eerie carpet of dark purple grass.

Where there had once been life and the gentle stirrings of nature’s rebirth, now there was only desolation.

Not a single living creature remained—not even a bird in flight or a rabbit in hiding.

Silence.

The only sound was the squelch of muddy footsteps echoing eerily through the dead woods.

Tang Hao, cloaked and tense, walked across the unsettling terrain.

Under his cloak, his fists were clenched tightly.

“Holy Soul Village… what the hell happened here? How did it become like this?”

He scanned the barren, twisted landscape, his expression filled with both astonishment and dread.

It was almost inconceivable—how a once-normal area could decay so thoroughly in just a few short weeks.

Had it not been for the complete absence of spiritual fluctuations, Tang Hao would have suspected he’d stepped into someone’s bizarre domain.

After all, this unnatural devastation couldn’t possibly be natural.

Creeeaaak…

A piercing, bone-grinding sound suddenly echoed from deep within the forest ahead.

Tang Hao’s eyes snapped upward, sharp and alert.

But all he could see was darkness.

Creeeeaaak!!

The sound grew louder—stranger—by the second.

After a brief hesitation, Tang Hao moved swiftly, heading deeper into the woods to investigate.
