Douluo Dalu: Starting With Tom Cat
Chapter 195: Splitting a Tree with His Crotch, Like a God

Chapter 195: Chapter 195: Splitting a Tree with His Crotch, Like a God

Hearing the commotion, Tom and Jerry came running out too, raising their little hands to their foreheads as if scanning the distance. Their small faces were full of excitement—they wanted to play too!

Zhu Zhuqing’s rosy lips were parted wide. "Huh? A flying broomstick? And it’s that fast?"

Ning Rongrong, having calmed down, also stepped out and fell silent at the sight of Shen An soaring back and forth through the sky on a broom.

Something felt off. The style was a little too bizarre. She knew Shen An could ride a sword—but a broomstick?

High in the sky, Shen An was more excited than ever. When he was a kid and saw Tom flying on a broomstick, he’d even grabbed the one at home and shouted "Giddy up!"

But back then, without a system, he couldn’t fly no matter what. It was just make-believe. Now, he had finally realized his childhood dream.

To his surprise, Shen An found that the broom seemed to have become an extension of his body. He could control the direction and speed freely.

Most importantly—it didn’t consume any Soul Power!

After playing around in the sky to his heart’s content, Shen An slowly descended, riding the broom.

Tom and Jerry instantly put on pleading expressions beside him, eyes full of hope. They wanted to try it too.

With a grand wave of his hand, Shen An casually tossed the broom to them.

After all, it didn’t require recognizing a master. Each broom could be used three times, each time lasting up to six hours. No big deal.

Tom excitedly ran over, only to trip on a banana peel and crash to the ground, dragging a long scrape across it.

As for who left the peel—well, everyone knew.

Shen An and the others were already used to this kind of chaos. If these two behaved normally for once, that would be strange.

Jerry jumped onto the broom and began zipping around the sky gleefully—drawing a heart in the air, then a piece of cheese.

He even swooped low and ruffled Tom’s head with a smug swipe.

Satisfying!

All that was left was a gloomy Tom lying on the ground, banging the earth with his fists. Curses! He’d been outdone again!

Shen An explained from the side, "This is called a magic broomstick. Each one can be used three times, up to six hours per use. It allows flight at a speed one major realm higher than your own."

The two girls were instantly stunned. Was it really that magical?

"Does this whole ’one realm higher’ thing have a limit? Like, if I become a Soul Sage one day, surely I can’t fly as fast as a Soul Douluo, right?" Zhu Zhuqing asked curiously.

Shen An smiled. "Even if you become a Title Douluo, I believe it’ll still work."

Ning Rongrong couldn’t help but exclaim, "This is way too overpowered! Even in the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, I’ve never seen such a powerful soul tool."

Shen An chuckled. That’s just how unreasonable props from the Tom and Jerry world were.

"Wait a second," Zhu Zhuqing blinked, "if we really become Title Douluo someday, what comes after that?"

"Above Title Douluo?" Shen An looked up. "If that’s the limit for humans, then I’d say the next stage... must be godhood."

"God?" the two girls were startled. It was their first time hearing such a concept.

Shen An nodded silently. He didn’t say more—he only knew about it from the original story, where the destined protagonist, Tang San, eventually became a god.

"But this broom is so valuable... and you’ve already used one just now? Isn’t that a bit of a waste?" Zhu Zhuqing asked with a touch of distress, clenching her tiny fists.

"Haha, it’s fine. I’ve got plenty. Here, one each for you and Rongrong. You can use it for defense if needed." As he spoke, Shen An pulled out two more and handed them over.

The girls looked at Shen An with renewed brightness in their eyes. The utility of such an item was self-evident—especially since it scaled with their cultivation.

About an hour later, Jerry had gotten bored of flying. He leisurely flew back and hopped off the broom.

Tom, without hesitation, pulled out his Meow Meow Hammer and bonked Jerry on the head. But Jerry only paused a bit before strolling away like nothing happened.

After a few steps, though, Jerry’s eyes rolled up, his tongue lolled out, and with a thud he collapsed, butt sticking up in the air.

Satisfied, Tom nodded in triumph. Revenge accomplished. He excitedly knocked on the door, calling out for Shen An.

Jerry had been flying for so long that Shen An and the others had long gone back inside—some were cultivating, others relaxing.

Worth mentioning: both Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong had reached level 39—just one step away from their fourth Soul Ring.

Hearing the knocking outside, the group came out. Tom excitedly pointed at the broom, then pointed at himself.

Shen An picked up Jerry and laughed. "Alright, alright. I’ll watch your performance. Go play."

Tom nodded happily. He was a cat with a strong desire to show off. If Jerry had put on a show earlier, then he had to do even better.

Receiving permission, Tom leapt onto the broom, pushed off hard, and soared into the sky!

Excited by the miniaturized landscape below, and realizing he wouldn’t fall off, Tom stood upright on the broom with limbs extended—one leg forward, one leg lifted behind, both arms outstretched, eyes closed, a picture of feline elegance.

Feeling the wind in his fur, he turned to glance at Shen An and the girls—only to see Shen An urgently mouthing something with a panicked face.

Tom didn’t have time to wonder before bonk!—his head slammed straight into a forked tree branch, tongue flopping out.

Shen An covered his eyes. What a dumb cat.

Tom, now embarrassed, climbed back on the broom and started performing tricks in the sky—drawing clouds into the shape of mice, cats, and more.

Then, with a burst of speed, he shot upward.

In the Heaven Dou Imperial Palace, Xue Qinghe was working in a loft. Her seat was near the window so she could occasionally enjoy the view and ease her mind.

"So many damn things to do... I’ve basically been working for Heaven Dou all these years," she muttered with a hint of self-mockery.

Sometimes, she felt lost. Three years, then another three. Over a decade had passed, and Emperor Xue Ye still wasn’t dead. What was all this even for?

If her grandfather hadn’t claimed it was a divine oracle from the Angel God, she might’ve given up already.

While staring absentmindedly out the window, a shadow swept past.

Her instincts screamed danger. Who?

Her Soul Power surged as she looked outside—only to see a cat descending slowly on a broom, sitting cross-legged.

"Tom? You?" Xue Qinghe stared in shock. When did cats learn to fly—on broomsticks, no less?

Tom tilted his head and pointed at the broom.

"You want me to ride it too?"

Tom nodded.

Xue Qinghe hesitated. It was just a broom—if she sat on it, wouldn’t she fall?

But a moment later, she leapt from the window. Who cared? She was a six-ring Soul Emperor. Like she’d die from falling.

Riding on the broom, Xue Qinghe was thrilled. It was a surprisingly fresh experience—and faster than expected.

In a flash, Tom and Xue Qinghe vanished into the sky.

Not far away, a skinny old man in plain robes looked conflicted.

"Should I report this to the Grand Worship? The young master is getting a little too close with that Shen An and his cat," muttered Snake Spear Douluo.

After Tom disappeared, the girls returned to cultivating. Shen An, on the other hand, dragged a vine chair into the courtyard and lay there, thinking about what to do next.

Improving his cultivation, summoning characters, exchanging Soul Rings—everything required spending, yet fame points would be harder and harder to earn soon.

And there was still nearly a year left before the Advanced Elite Soul Master Tournament.

The thought gave Shen An a bit of a headache. "Maybe I should actually start training hard myself, instead of just pondering sword techniques."

After all, time waits for no one. The sooner he pulverized that Titan Giant Ape in the Star Dou Forest, the sooner he’d feel vindicated.

Besides, Tang Hao and Tang San were still lurking in the shadows. Once he was strong enough, even without Tom’s gadgets, he’d crush them easily.

His gaze turned sharp. There was just so much to do.

Feeling a little down, Shen An decided to give himself a mid-grade Soul Power experience pack to lift his mood.

Having just reached level 43 from absorbing the fifty-thousand-year Soul Ring, he instantly broke through another level to 44.

He sucked in a breath. That effect was insane.

Even though each subsequent level would be harder, the remaining four experience packs could still boost him by at least two more levels.

He decided to save them for now. Better to use them mid-battle when Soul Power was depleted—restore energy and level up at the same time.

As for that whole "training hard" idea? Never mind. The system had his back. He’d stick to swordsmanship and techniques.

At that moment, one cat and one person returned from the sky above the courtyard.

Tom saw a bird flying level with him and licked his lips greedily. Under Xue Qinghe’s astonished gaze, he stepped off the broom to catch it.

Unfortunately, he missed. The bird was too fast and dodged with a burst of speed. Tom, frustrated, turned to walk back.

"Tom, you can fly now?" Xue Qinghe murmured in disbelief.

Tom looked at her, confused. "I’m just a little kitty. Since when can kitties fly?"

Then it hit him—he’d stepped off the broom.

Tom froze. He didn’t dare look down and instead carefully tested with his paw.

Yep. Nothing underneath.

"Ahhhhhhhh!"

Tom screamed in terror as he plummeted.

Xue Qinghe tried to grab him, but Tom’s fall was so ridiculously fast that even she, a Soul Emperor, couldn’t react in time.

Right below was a large tree split into two forks.

Tom dropped right onto the center, crotch-first. There was a pause—then, like a buzz saw, he sliced the tree clean in two.

Szzzzzzzzzz!

Accompanied by a violent slicing sound and flying wood chips, Shen An stared in amazement at the now-halved tree outside.

From the bottom of the tree, a long-legged cat slowly emerged, dazedly stepping out with legs extended wide.

Shen An almost laughed. For some reason, a line popped into his head:

"Before there was heaven, there was Tom—splitting trees with his crotch, like a god."

The noise even startled Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong.

Seeing them walk into the courtyard, Shen An teased them while pointing at the split tree, "Look over there."

"There’s no cat now, but you can tell one’s definitely been here."

"Pfft—hahahaha!"
