“Celestial Dragon Planet…” Tang Wulin narrowed his eyes, seemingly contemplating something.

“Let your son wreak havoc there. That kid’s a walking disaster. Wherever he goes, trouble follows. I heard from Little Shu that he caused quite a stir on Senluo Planet too. The seniors Da Ming and Er Ming barely tolerated him. If it weren’t your son, he would’ve been punished long ago.”

“As long as I live, no one can harm him.” Tang Wulin said calmly.

“Are you really not returning to lead the Sea God Pavilion again? The position’s still open for you. Neither the Academy nor Tang Sect has any objections.”

In fact, Sea God Pavilion meetings were not just internal to Shrek Academy, but the highest-level joint meetings with Tang Sect.

Tang Wulin shook his head. “No need to complicate things. The Federation already keeps a close eye on us. I don’t want to do too much—I just want to be with them. If I could, I’d prefer to not deal with anything at all.”

“You’ve become lazy.” The Pavilion Master’s voice sounded odd.

“Maybe. I just want to enjoy some family time now. Don’t forget—I’m over ten thousand years old.” Tang Wulin smiled.

“Are you hinting I’m old? What’s ten thousand years? I’ve never felt old!” the Pavilion Master snorted.

“Mhm, I never thought you were old. Your temper’s the same as ever. You’re the craziest woman I’ve ever met—you scare me.”

“Tang Wulin! Do you have a death wish?!” the Pavilion Master growled.

“I’m off to cultivate.” Tang Wulin’s figure flickered and disappeared.

“Hmph!” the Pavilion Master snorted again, vanishing as well, leaving Yi Zichen standing there helplessly by the shore.

Deep in the Lake of Life.

The rainbow-colored dragon, now over twelve meters long, stretched out its body. Its multicolored wings beat as it absorbed life energy continuously to replenish itself.

Gradually, its massive form shrank and returned to human form—it was Lan Xuanyu.

At this moment, his chest and abdomen were fully covered in rainbow scales, with over half his back also shielded. He emitted a stable aura, faint streams of color circling around him.

His right arm had turned golden, shining with radiant golden scales. However, the light on his left arm flickered inconsistently.

Lan Xuanyu had a dream.

In it, he was constantly fighting—sometimes transforming into a mighty powerhouse, other times into a master of elemental forces, unleashing all manner of energy.

He didn’t know how long he fought, until he was utterly exhausted. Agonizing pain tore through him, as if he were being ripped apart. But then, a mysterious power began to reassemble and nourish him. The unbearable pain turned into bliss, and the sudden shift left his mind blank.

He gently moved a finger—his consciousness was returning.

When Lan Xuanyu opened his eyes, what greeted him was a field of pure green. He blinked. Where am I…?
