Then he turned to Ying Luohong and Tang Zhenhua: “You two go about your business. These few need to come with me to the Inner Court.”

“Understood,” the two replied respectfully, still filled with confusion as they looked at Lan Xuanyu and the others.

Although this military service was meant as a form of training rather than true enlistment, once in the military, they were still soldiers. Who had ever returned after less than two months in a cosmic fleet? The round-trip travel time alone probably exceeded their actual time in service!

Wang Tianyu didn’t say more. With a wave of his hand, powerful soul power erupted from him.

Lan Xuanyu and the others instantly felt a strong force binding their bodies. Moments later, they were completely enveloped and lifted into the sky.

The academy below shrank in view, Sea God Lake appeared in the distance, and then it too shrank. Ahead, the Eternal Tree grew larger and larger.

Their breathing quickened—they all knew what this meant. They were flying upward toward the true heart of Shrek Academy and the sacred place for all soul masters: the Inner Court, Eternal Sky City!

Wang Tianyu remained silent, flying with all seven students. Although they all had flight capabilities, at this moment they obediently let Wang Tianyu lead the way.

The trunk of the tree loomed larger. As they neared the Eternal Tree, the air thinned, but the life force grew denser.

Mist surrounded them, the air grew moist, and they were soon enveloped in clouds. Though visibility was low, it didn’t dim their excitement.

Eternal Sky City! This was their first time here. What could be more thrilling?

Lan Xuanyu kept his gaze lifted as they soared upward.

Finally, they burst through the clouds. A vast canopy spread across the sky. Each branch shimmered with a golden glow, each leaf like a sculpted emerald, pulsing with immense life energy.

Around Lan Xuanyu, a green radiance appeared—life spirits circling and even supporting his body.

Wang Tianyu glanced at him again, still saying nothing. They had reached the tree crown.

Then, something strange happened. Dense leaves ahead suddenly parted, revealing a passage formed entirely of branches and leaves, welcoming the eight of them in.

They flew along the leafy corridor, ascending further, until they finally emerged from the thick foliage.

At that moment, all seven students felt as if they were dreaming—the concentration of life energy here was overwhelming, almost too much for their bodies to absorb.

Lan Xuanyu was in the best condition, but even he felt dizzy. As the heir of the School of Life, he was especially attuned to life energy and absorbed more than anyone else. His bloodline vortex, anchored by the Dragon Core, felt close to overflowing.

All seven finally landed and steadied themselves, slowly recovering from the dizzying influx of energy. Looking around, they realized they had entered a wondrous realm.

Soft mist floated around them. The sealed branches beneath their feet formed a flat surface. A road extended straight ahead, while massive branches behind formed a natural barrier.

From high above in the warship, they had occasionally glimpsed parts of this place, but it had always seemed vague and dreamlike.

Now, having truly arrived at Eternal Sky City, they finally saw it in full.

The smooth road extended inward. Though it was made entirely of branches and leaves, it was so flat it seemed controlled by some invisible force.

Looking further ahead, they saw pavilions and towers everywhere—houses built from branches, each intricately decorated. It felt like stepping into ancient times, into a world ruled by soul masters.

There was no trace of metal here. The intense life energy formed a shimmering haze above their heads.

The density of life force here was several times greater than in the Outer Court. Life spirits seemed to call to them, moving freely over their bodies.

Wang Tianyu led the way, and the seven quickly followed. Only now did they truly feel that they were part of the Inner Court.

With every step, the surroundings seemed to change—each step like entering a new scene, a lush forest, a mystical realm. Here, it felt as though life was constantly being born.

The wide road led them inward, and soon they saw a small mountain. Yes, there was a mountain inside Eternal Sky City—formed entirely of intertwined branches.

Small huts dotted the mountain, grouped together like a jungle fortress.

The closer they got, the denser the life energy became. The ambient light shifted to a vibrant green.

Not only was Lan Xuanyu surrounded by life spirits—everything here seemed composed of life spirits.

It was a truly wondrous feeling, and Lan Xuanyu felt it more strongly than anyone.

Ever since breaking through to the five-ring, his soul power had been rising steadily. That breakthrough had unlocked much of the latent strength he’d built up. The benefits of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well on Senluo Planet and the various heavenly treasures he’d absorbed were now fully manifesting. With all his soul rings at the hundred-thousand-year level, his strength had jumped significantly, allowing him to rival even eight-ring soul masters.

Although he hadn’t fought during his time on Celestial Dragon Planet, he could clearly sense that in a place so rich with life energy, his combat power would definitely increase. That was the benefit of having a life affinity constitution.
