"Do you really mean it?" Bai Meng asked with a serious expression.

"How can we trust you?" Bai Zhi asked.

"So, how do we do this? Just eat it?" Bai Meng asked, still uncertain.

"Of course!" Xiao Feng walked over and patted the skinny young man’s back. "Kid, looks like you haven’t eaten properly for days. Eat this bowl of spicy tripe soup, and you’ll not only satisfy your hunger but also become an Evolver!"

"Okay, okay!" The weak young man nodded eagerly.

"Alright, dig in!" Xiao Feng then handed him some rice.

The young man immediately started devouring the food. In no time, he finished the spicy tripe soup.

"But Commander, can I save the rest for my mother?" the young man hesitantly asked.

"Eat everything; we need to see if it works!" Bai Meng ordered, startling the thin young man into quickly finishing everything.

"My concoction takes twelve hours to digest. By tomorrow morning, he’ll become an Evolver!" Xiao Feng pointed at the young man.

"I’ll head back now. If he becomes an Evolver tomorrow, you’ll need to send someone to assist me. Can you do that?" Xiao Feng proposed.

"If that happens, I’ll offer you this delicious spicy tripe soup at a low price to turn all your people into Evolvers. With that, even the people from Shelter 1 won’t stand a chance against you!"

"Alright, I’ll wait for twelve hours. But if he’s not an Evolver by then, I’m sorry, but I won’t be staying!" Bai Meng declared bluntly.

"This dish was made using a special, but somewhat deficient, first-tier crystal core. Its ability is to condense the air, but due to limited energy, its evolution ability might be insufficient!" Xiao Feng explained.

"Then... see you tomorrow!" Xiao Feng turned and walked away.

As he reached the door, he looked back at the thin young man, taking out some buns from his pocket. "Take these back for your mother!"

The young man widened his eyes but didn’t reach out. Instead, he looked towards Bai Meng in the distance.

Bai Meng glanced at Xiao Feng and nodded. "If the boss gives it to you, just take it!"

Upon hearing this, the thin young man nodded in thanks and took the buns, wrapping them in a dirty piece of cloth.

Shortly after, Xiao Feng didn’t linger. After leaving Shelter No. 9, he instantly returned to the restaurant.

The next day at noon, Xiao Feng sat silently in the restaurant, waiting.

At this moment, high-rise buildings loomed silently overheard as birdman watched the south.

Suddenly, Xiao Feng’s phone rang.

"Boss, a group of people appeared to the south. Due to the presence of Shelter No. 2 and No. 3 there, they entered through the underground tunnels!"

Bai Meng looked at Xiao Feng in disbelief. The Xiao Feng now was completely different from the one they encountered yesterday at their shelter, like two different people. The drastic change was beyond his comprehension.
