"I can’t see it, is it okay?" Xiao Feng grabbed Chu Xinger and shielded her behind him.

"Like me, are you also an evolved telekinetic?" The commander didn’t pay attention to the three people nearby and instead looked intently at Xiao Feng.

"It seems your shelter is full of surprises!" Xiao Feng composed himself and stepped forward.

"Today, Qingyun Base must give us an explanation. Otherwise, we’ll withdraw our troops and stop cooperating with your actions!" he demanded firmly.

"Explanation?" The commander turned to Li Yundi for answers.

"I have no idea what’s going on! This crazy woman just came up and started beating me, and I have no clue why!" Li Yundi’s words were cut short as Xiao Feng swiftly slapped him.

Li Yundi’s right cheek instantly swelled, and he fell to the ground, stunned.

"Even in these times, watch your language! Don’t just insult people randomly!"

"You!" Li Yundi was furious, having been assaulted by Chu Xinger earlier and now slapped by Xiao Feng. This nameless rage caused him to lose his last shred of reason.

"Stop!" The nearby commander shouted angrily, and an invisible force immediately pulled Li Yundi away.

Only then did Li Yundi gradually regain his composure.

"Explain what’s going on," the commander asked Xiao Feng and Chu Xinger.

"There’s another eighth-rank mutated beast in Yan Long City. Why didn’t you tell us? Over a thousand of us went to attack the West Red Zone, where an eighth-rank mutated lion appeared! Why didn’t you inform us?" Chu Xinger shouted hysterically.

"Don’t pretend! You said before that Yan Long City only had an eighth-rank Earth Fury Bear. But why did an eighth-rank mutated lion suddenly appear today? Over a hundred evolved warriors and five to six hundred elite soldiers died because of this. If I hadn’t acted fast, our entire army would have been wiped out today!"

"Another eighth-rank mutated beast? That’s impossible!" The commander asserted.

"Don’t play dumb! That lion, opening its mouth, swallowed more than ten people in one gulp! Look at this!" Chu Xinger slammed the action recorder onto the table.

Curious, the commander picked it up and immediately played the contents.

Soon, the footage of today’s mission from Shelter No. 1 appeared on the projector.

Everyone stared intently at the screen.

"It’s really coming towards us!" The commander became tense.

"Stop it! We mustn’t let the lion reach the command center!"

Instantly, everyone rushed out. In the distance, screams echoed as a massive shadow loomed, heading in their direction.
