Wang Hao’s ancestors’ home lay nestled deep in the mountains. Though surrounded by mountains and rivers, numerous larger mountains encircled the area, making road construction a formidable task.

“Great ancestor knows it’s not easy,” Uncle continued, “but remember the mountain spring in our hills? Great ancestor has been drinking that water all his life. At a hundred years old, he’s still healthy and can even sweep the yard. If a road could be built, that spring could be developed too, so this project does have some hope. These past few days, several people from my uncle’s branch have been planning to come here to discuss this.”
