Chapter 187: I Never Want To See Your Face Again.

Chapter 187: I Never Want To See Your Face Again.

The next day arrived swiftly, with the golden sun casting radiant beams across Olive’s face. The melodious chirping of birds filled the air, mingling with the distant honking of cars from the city streets.

"Oh, fuck it!" Olive muttered under her breath as her eyes fluttered open. She was about to close them again when reality struck her like a bolt of lightning, jolting her upright. She sat in bed, disoriented, as her surroundings came into focus.

She was still in the hotel room Ethan had arranged for her to stay in the previous night.

Damn! How could I fall asleep? she thought, her heart sinking. Memories of the night before flooded back, she had intended to wait, not to sleep. It felt as though she had been drugged with a sleeping potion, though she knew that couldn’t be true. She’d simply passed out, overwhelmed by exhaustion.

Her gaze shifted toward the sunlight pouring in through the curtains. The brightness suggested it was already late morning or even afternoon. She glanced at the wall clock to confirm her suspicion, and her stomach dropped.

2:30 PM.

"Fuck it!" she cursed louder this time, throwing the covers off herself and springing out of bed. She rushed to the door, her mind racing. At this point, she didn’t care where Ethan was. All that mattered was getting back to school before the situation spiraled further out of control.

As she stepped outside the hotel building, she immediately noticed the familiar black SUV parked nearby, the same one that had brought her and Ethan the previous day. That could only mean Ethan was still somewhere in the building.

The chauffeur stood by the car, adjusting his gloves. Olive didn’t hesitate. "Good morning, sir, but please take me back to school," she said curtly.

The chauffeur nodded, his expression neutral as he opened the passenger door for her. "His Highness instructed me to bring you back as soon as you were awake."

Her eyebrows shot up. "Where’s he?"

"He returned to school early this morning," the chauffeur replied smoothly. "He mentioned not wanting to disturb you."

Olive’s fists clenched at her sides, her blood boiling. Ethan’s gall infuriated her, but she held her tongue, knowing it was pointless to argue with the chauffeur. Instead, she climbed into the passenger seat, slamming the door harder than necessary.

The SUV purred to life, and as it pulled away from the hotel, Olive stared out the window, her thoughts churning. Ethan’s behavior felt like an elaborate manipulation, and the chauffeur’s explanation only confirmed her suspicions. He didn’t want to disturb me? Yeah, right.

Her anger simmered just beneath the surface, her gaze fixed on the passing cityscape. She couldn’t wait to confront Ethan back at Belmont High.

When the SUV finally pulled into the school grounds, Olive exhaled a breath of relief. The familiarity of Belmont High’s campus brought a sense of solace, even as her nerves remained on edge. She thanked the chauffeur and stepped out, her eyes scanning the bustling courtyard for any sign of Ethan.

As she headed toward the dormitory, she noticed students stopping what they were doing to stare at her. Their whispers grew louder, carrying through the air like a persistent buzz.

"Oh my goodness, are you sure it’s her?"

"She’s the one..."

"Wait, she’s a girl?!"

"And she’s in that video too..."

The wind seemed to carry the rumors directly to Olive’s ears. Her stomach twisted in knots as she realized what had happened. Somehow, her secret had been exposed.

With trembling hands, she pulled the hood of her jacket over her head and quickened her pace. She needed to find Lara. Her only thought was to get to the 3RM special room, where Lara was likely waiting.

She burst through the door, her breath uneven. But instead of Lara, she found Lucas, Aiden, and Marcus lounging on the sofa. Lucas sat hunched over, his face buried in his hands, while Aiden and Marcus appeared to be comforting him.

The moment Lucas lifted his head and their eyes met, he shot to his feet. His bloodshot eyes glared at her, brimming with anger and pain. "How dare you show your face here?" he growled, his voice trembling.

"Why can’t I?" Olive retorted, confused by his reaction. "What’s wrong? Where’s Lara? Everyone knows I’m a girl now."

"And a slut," Lucas spat, the venom in his words cutting her like a knife. Tears streamed down his face as he stood in front of her, his anguish pouring out. "Is that why you’ve been avoiding me all this time?"

Olive’s lips parted in shock, her voice faltering. "Why would you call be that..."

Aiden cut her off with a bitter laugh. "Oh, come on, Olive. When Anabella threatened to expose your secret to the whole school if you don’t stay away from Lucas, we had your back. We kept quiet because we knew you had a future to protect. But what do you do? Run straight into Prince Ethan’s arms!"

Olive’s heart sank as Aiden continued, his voice dripping with scorn. "You saw a better option, didn’t you? Lucas was good enough for you when he was just the heir to Belmont. But the moment Prince Ethan showed up, you ditched him. And all it took was Anabella finding out your secret for you to jump ship. Unbelievable."

"That’s why I don’t trust girls," Aiden continued, his tone filled with disdain. "You held onto Lucas for years because he was safe. But the second someone better came along, you threw him under the bus. What’s worse? You didn’t even hesitate to jump into bed with Ethan and his friends, did you?"

Olive’s legs felt weak, her voice trapped in her throat. "That’s not true..." she whispered, her eyes welling up with tears.

Aiden scoffed. "Don’t even try to deny it. You thought Ethan could protect you, didn’t you? And you were willing to sell yourself out just to secure your place as his queen or whatever ridiculous fantasy you’ve cooked up."

Lucas stepped closer, his voice cracking with emotion. "You played me, Olive. Was I just a placeholder until someone better came along? Tell me!"

"I seriously don’t understand what you guys are even talking about?!" Olive exclaimed, her voice trembling with confusion and frustration as she refused to accept whatever Lucas and his friends were saying. Her wide eyes darted from Lucas to Aiden and then to Marcus, searching for answers. "I just got back to school this morning after Ethan left me at that hotel where we had a meeting! I don’t even know what you’re all going on about!"

"Don’t give me that crap, Olive. Don’t you dare!" Lucas bellowed, his voice echoing through the room. His hands curled into fists as he strode to the center table. In a fit of rage, he slammed it with such force that the glass top shattered, the shards scattering across the floor.

"You slept with Ethan," Lucas spat, his voice filled with venom. "Not just him, but two of his friends as well!"

"What?!"

"Yes!" Lucas roared, his tone dripping with betrayal. "And don’t you dare deny it because there’s evidence. Maybe you thought it would stop with Ethan, but no. he invited his friends to join in on the fun!"

Olive’s hand lashed out before she even thought about it, the sharp sound of her slap reverberating through the room. "Don’t you dare you accuse me of something like that!" she cried.

But Lucas wasn’t finished. His face twisted in anger, and before Olive could react, he retaliated. Grabbing her by the neck, he pinned her roughly against the wall. "I thought you were different," he hissed, his voice low and dangerous. "But you’re just a whore, Olive. A shameless, lying whore."

Olive clawed at his hands, her breath coming in short gasps. "Lucas, let me go!" she choked out, her voice desperate.

Aiden stepped forward, his expression grim. "You want proof?" he asked coldly, holding up his phone. He tapped the screen a few times before thrusting it toward Olive.

Her vision blurred with tears as she stared at the video. It showed her lying unconscious on the hotel bed, Ethan on top of her, while two other men she didn’t recognize hovered nearby, their actions vile and unmistakable. She gasped in horror as she saw the men, one positioning himself beside her while the other dangled himself over her mouth.

"No... no, no, no!" Olive screamed, her voice shattering under the weight of her anguish. Tears streamed down her face as she struggled to break free from Lucas’s grip. Her body trembled as the realization hit her like a freight train. Ethan... The memories came flooding back, locking the door, feeling her body succumb to an unnatural exhaustion. Ethan must have had a spare key. He must have planned it all.

"I didn’t... I didn’t consent to this! I swear, I have no idea how this happened!" Olive wailed, her sobs uncontrollable.

"Yeah, sure you didn’t," Lucas sneered, releasing her abruptly. She collapsed against the wall, clutching her neck as she coughed and gasped for air. His voice cracked as he added, "You’ve been lying to me this whole time. You used me. I thought you cared, Olive... but you’re just like all the others. I never want to see your face again."
