Chapter 278: Chapter 278

The head cop turned to the other guests, and a bunch of people immediately stepped up to speak.

"Yeah, we all saw it. It was this woman, hitting and swearing at Grace. The old lady was so stressed out that she died because she wasn’t rescued in time."

"I saw it too. There’s a camera in the old lady’s room. We’ve all seen the footage."

"I can also vouch for it. The old lady was killed by this woman."

"It was her!"

"She’s the main culprit!"

Olga was really taken aback. She just needed someone to testify, but not a single person stepped up. Now, with one word from Rosemary, they all stepped up without hesitation.

She never saw such shameless people!

"I’ve sent the evidence to your official email. Also, I want to report Attlee and Olga. They scared Director Vince’s daughter from the Harris group sick, causing her to suffer from depression. Director Arora had a heart attack because of them and died young. And Casey, a worker at the Solterra will storage, was scared out of their wits by them."

The head cop heard this and immediately said, "Take these two away. Start an investigation!"

"No need for an investigation; I’ve got evidence of them terrorizing these people and kidnapping and threatening other victims. I sent it to your official email half an hour ago."

"Take them away!" The head cop ordered it, and a few officers came over to cuff Attlee and Olga.

"You’re a good citizen. If the evidence is solid, you’ll be doing a public service," the head cop complimented Rosemary.

"Don’t take my parents away." Yolanda rushed over as she saw her parents being cuffed, her world seemingly collapsing around her. "Dad, mom."

What was she supposed to do? How could she save them?

"Sweetie, go find your uncle," Olga started to say.

"There’s no need," Rosemary casually interrupted. "I also sent the police evidence of their tax evasion and illegal activities. They’re probably being questioned at the police station right now."

"Rosemary! You’ve got some nerve!" Olga was furious. This woman was trying to ruin them and leave them with nothing!

"Oh, right, I also want to report her for moving into my grandmother’s house without her permission."

All the guests were disgusted when they heard this. Olga had actually done such a thing?

The head cop nodded and told an officer, "Take note of that; investigate it as well."

"Officer, this is all a misunderstanding. The old lady agreed to let us live in the house when she was alive!" Olga was still trying to justify herself as she was led away. "Don’t listen to that girl’s nonsense. How could we possibly break the old lady’s door lock? We wouldn’t do such a thing without her permission!"

"Your maid confessed that it was your idea; the evidence is solid," Rosemary said coldly, standing up and walking over to Olga, giving her a chilly smile. "This is just the beginning."

How did Granny die? Well, she’s going to make them pay double for it!

"What are you trying to do?" Olga was a bit scared. "Officer, this girl is threatening me; she just whispered threats in my ear."

"Take them away!"

At the cop’s command, Attlee and Olga were instantly hauled off in front of everyone.

"Let me go." Attlee had never been so humiliated!

One could say that the moment he bought the property, he was on top of the world, but now he’s eating humble pie!

"I haven’t committed any crime; the old lady died of a heart attack; it has nothing to do with me!" Olga was still struggling. "Let me go; I want to see my lawyer, Yoli. Call my lawyer for me."

Ha, thinking of hiring a lawyer when they were broke?

Rosemary smirked.

The leading cop respectfully asked, "Ms. Rose, what about them?"

"Lock them up for now; no need to question; I’ll send someone to deal with it later."

"Yes, ma’am."

Olga suddenly realized that the leading cop was very respectful to Rosemary; clearly, they knew each other!

Damn, Grace’s gone. Would she suffer Rosemary’s retaliation?

Yolanda also realized that only Rosemary could solve this mess now, so she hurried to Rosemary after the cops left.

"Let my parents go! If you have any issues, you can come to me."

"Do you think you can get away?" Rosemary looked down at her with a cold gaze and said, "Don’t worry, it’ll be your turn soon. Whatever you did to Granny, I’ll make you pay double! None of you will escape!"

Yolanda was dumbstruck, a chill running down her spine.

Zachary watched the girl’s cold silhouette as she left in Romeo’s arms; they looked so perfect together.

"Zachary."

Yolanda had no one to rely on now except for the man in front of her.

But Mrs. Panter pushed her away in disgust, saying, "I’m warning you; don’t pester my son! You shameless woman! If you dare to go after my son, I’ll beat you every time I see you!"

What a bummer; she thought holding this engagement party would earn her six billion. Turned out, the Harris family didn’t have the means to hold onto this piece of land for five years, which meant they could never get that six billion!

The Harris family deceived them with this half-acre piece of land just to hold the engagement party on time.

Thinking about it, they should thank Rosemary. If not for her, they would still be deceived by this woman!

Yolanda, desperate and persistent, looked up with tearful eyes and said pitifully, "Zachary, Mr. Panter just said he hoped we could respect and love each other, share weal and woe. Mr. Panter, didn’t you say you hoped our two families could interact and get along well?"

"Humph!" Mr. Panter looked disgusted and said, "Zachary, from now on, you’re not allowed to associate with her; otherwise, everything in the Panter family, I’d rather donate than leave it to you!"

After saying that, he apologized to all the guests because they had come for nothing.

"We’re leaving." Mrs. Panter led her son away, supporting his uninjured arm.

From beginning to end, Zachary didn’t spare Yolanda another glance, as if he truly had no feelings for her anymore.

Yolanda, lost and devastated, just returned to Granny’s villa only to find their family’s luggage thrown outside by the maids!

"What are you doing?"

Before Yolanda had a chance to get angry, the maids spat at her and threw stuff.

"You have the nerve to ask us; the lady made us break into Granny’s room; that’s illegal! If it wasn’t for Ms. Rose’s generosity, let’s pay a thousand dollars each, we would have been detained for ten days! Can’t believe you’re so poor, not even owning a house or savings. If you can’t afford us, just say it early so we can find another employer. Where are we supposed to go now?"
