Chapter 384: Chapter 384 Why are you here?
He leaned forward in his seat, his voice dropping just slightly, as if someone might be listening. His lips curled into a hesitant, serious line. "Your family is..." he paused, letting the words hang in the air for a few beats too long, his eyes searching hers for a reaction—some hint of emotion.
Lilith’s face didn’t twitch. But the tension in her gaze sharpened like a knife unsheathing itself.
"...not who you think they are," he finished, dragging the mystery further.
Her nails tapped once against her arm. "Start talking properly," she said coldly. "Or I’m leaving."
Rayan swallowed hard. The mystery he thought would impress her was only testing her patience.
"Alright, alright... don’t get angry," Rayan said quickly, holding up his hands as if to calm a wild storm. "I’ll tell you."
Lilith didn’t move, but the look in her eyes was enough to burn through his soul.
He leaned closer, lowering his voice, his tone now serious. "Your family is... from a royal bloodline, Lilith. And not just any royalty. Your father... his name is Lennox Wulf."
Lilith’s eyes didn’t change, but something inside her stilled.
Rayan continued slowly, choosing each word with care. "Lennox Wulf... he’s not just powerful—he owns City H. That entire city bends to his name. Every bank, every business, every inch of that land is under his control. The media doesn’t talk about it openly because it’s not a government position—it’s influence, pure influence. Generational."
He glanced at her, checking her expression before going on.
"His family has ruled that land from the shadows for over a century. No elections, no politics—just legacy. People call him the Ghost King of City H. He walks in silence, but when he speaks, the wealthiest men shake. Every business tycoon and politician in that region has bowed their head to him at least once."
Rayan hesitated before adding, "We only found out because we tried to dig up your mother’s records... and stumbled into blocked files. Real deep. Protected. That’s when we started connecting dots. Daisy Parker... she was involved with Lennox Wulf."
He leaned back in his chair, letting the weight of his words settle.
"Lilith, your bloodline... is the kind that people either fear, worship, or want to destroy."

After hearing the truth from Rayan, Lilith was undeniably shaken. The calm in her eyes had ripples now. Her mind kept circling the same name... Lennox Wulf. A king in the shadows. A man with power that ruled an entire city from behind closed doors. Her father.
She drove home in silence, her fingers gripping the wheel tighter than usual. The sky outside was dark, and a soft winter fog kissed the edges of the windshield. But her thoughts were colder than the night.
When she finally reached her house, she slowed the car, eyebrows pulling together into a frown.
The front door... it was slightly open.
She parked quickly and got out, her eyes narrowing sharply. She didn’t rush. Her steps were silent and cautious as she approached the door. The familiar weight of danger hummed at the back of her neck. But when she stepped inside—the darkness greeted her.
The house was dim, almost eerily quiet.
Until—
"WELCOME HOME MISS LILITH, WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE TEA OR NO TEA, OR WATER OR NO WATER?"
The familiar, overly enthusiastic, glitchy robotic voice echoed through the living room.
Lilith blinked once, pressing her lips together. A red blinking light glowed from the corner, and she didn’t even have to guess who it was.
"...Sir Sparkleton," she muttered with a sigh.
The red light flickered again, spinning slowly like a mischievous radar. Sir Sparkleton turned the lights on but before she could respond—
"Welcome home, Miss Lilith ~~~" Another voice purred and this time it was higher-pitched... and smug.
"Myself Miss Sparkleton, official wife of Sir Sparkleton. You may ask me to do anything..." the robotic tone dragged the last word dramatically.
Lilith stared at the source of the new voice. A small, glossy pink robot with heart-shaped antennae stood next to Sir Sparkleton, blinking its pink lights proudly.
Lilith’s expression went from exhausted to mildly horrified.
"...You got married?"
"WE ARE HAPPILY BONDED BY FIRMWARE 9.0.3—ACCORDING TO RAY-TECH MARRIAGE LAWS." Sir Sparkleton declared proudly, spinning a little on his base.
"I planned everything, from ceremony to vows to cake flavor~" Miss Sparkleton added with a twirl of her antenna. "He cried. It was romantic."
Lilith stared at the two robots blankly for three whole seconds, her eyes half-lidded and unreadable.
"So...human doll is here," she murmured softly, her voice low and dangerous.
Her gaze slowly turned toward the bedroom. The door was slightly open, just enough to reveal the faintest shift of shadows inside. Her heels clicked quietly against the floor as she made her way toward it. The rest of the world faded behind her—the robots, the cold air outside, the storm in her thoughts. Only one thing occupied her mind now.
Him.
She pushed the door open with the back of her hand and stepped inside.
The room was dim, quiet... but not empty.
Before she could even blink, a strong hand grabbed her wrist and spun her sharply.
Her back hit the wall with a low thud, and before her voice could escape her lips—his mouth was already on her skin.
His breath was hot. His body pressed against hers without mercy.
He didn’t say a word. He just buried his face into the curve of her neck and kissed her there—rough, hungry, desperate.
Lilith’s hands twitched at her sides, one fist clenched, the other gripping his shirt tightly.
She felt the way his lips burned against her throat, the way his fingers dug slightly into her waist as if afraid she’d disappear. His heartbeat thudded wildly—fast, uneven, filled with everything he couldn’t say.
And yet she didn’t stop him.
Her eyes fluttered shut for one brief moment.
His kiss wasn’t soft. It wasn’t tender. It was angry. Hot. Full of regret and want. Like a man who had waited a year in silence and could no longer hold it in.
Lilith exhaled slowly, her voice low, dangerous.
"Why are you here?"
There was no softness in her tone.
He froze.
He had expected anything—rage, surprise, tears, even violence but not this.
He looked into her eyes and felt like he was standing at the edge of a cliff.
Lilith raised a hand—not to push him, not to slap him but simply to adjust the collar of her dress, almost lazily. She moved like a queen who didn’t need to shout to remind people of her power.
"I asked you something," she said again, her voice like a slow knife.
