Chapter 353 What did she know?

Chapter 353: Chapter 353 What did she know?

"Excuse me?" Lilith said, her tone polite, but her eyes were not.

Krystal blinked, realizing she had said too much. Her red lipstick smudged slightly on the rim of her glass as she fumbled for words.

"I mean..." she chuckled awkwardly, waving her hand like she could erase the moment, "you just reminded me of someone. A woman I once knew.... she had the same eyes. Piercing blue like frozen stars."

Lilith gripped her glass tighter.

Krystal Knight, on the other hand, just smiled dreamily, like they were having a casual chat about skincare routines.

"Anyway," KK said, clearly trying to change the subject, "you’re a natural. You’ll go far. That mysterious aura... it’s no wonder people are obsessed with you."

Lilith didn’t say anything because her mind had already taken off like a bullet train.

Who was Krystal talking about?

What did she know?

"Oh! Someone’s calling me!!" Krystal suddenly said, standing up a little too fast for someone who had just downed her fourth glass of red wine. Her heels wobbled like they were about to file a complaint for mistreatment as she grabbed her glass and trotted off, pretending to laugh at something invisible in the distance.

Lilith didn’t say a word.

She just watched her.

She sipped her drink slowly, letting the ice touch her lips, but her eyes never left Krystal’s fading silhouette.

From the very first day Krystal Knight walked onto the set with her designer heels and charming smiles, Lilith had noticed it.

The look.

The way her eyes stayed on Lilith two seconds too long.

The way her smile twitched whenever Lilith spoke.

Lilith’s fingers curled slightly on the stem of her glass. Her instincts were never wrong—especially not the instincts she’d sharpened in hell, across dimensions, in courts full of devils and traitors.

She had lived centuries. She knew what a pretending face looked like.

Lilith turned her face toward the bar lights, hiding her expression under the shadow of her long lashes.

Who are you really, KK?

And more importantly—

What do you know about me?

***

Lilith stood up from her seat, letting out a small sigh. She grabbed her small black bag and walked toward the exit. Her heels made a soft clicking sound against the floor of the bar as she passed a few drunken actors still dancing around the tables.

She wasn’t fully drunk. Just a little tipsy.

Her head felt light, her chest heavy.

Maybe it was the wine... or maybe the thoughts in her head that refused to shut up.

Why didn’t he call me back? What is he hiding? Why did KK say something like that?

One thing after another... she really needed air.

As Lilith stepped into the dim hallway that led toward the parking area, everything became quiet. The music faded, the lights became dull, and her heels echoed with each step.

She had only walked a few meters...

When suddenly—

SLAM!

Lilith’s back hit the cold wall with a thud, and she let out a breathless gasp.

"What the hell—?!" she snapped, but before she could finish, her eyes narrowed like sharpened daggers.

A tall, bald man with tattoos crawling down his neck and arms stood in front of her, pressing one arm near her shoulder. His grin was wide, his teeth crooked, and his eyes full of something disgusting.

"Hey baby," he said in a slow, dirty voice, his breath smelling like cheap liquor.

Lilith blinked.

Then... she smiled.

But it wasn’t the smile of a scared woman.

It was the smile of a predator.

Ah... how lucky.

Her night was already terrible.

Her human doll was avoiding her.

Krystal Knight was acting mysterious.

Her heart felt suffocated and her fists were itching.

And now, some bold idiot had thrown himself into her hands like a gift-wrapped stress toy.

"Baby?" Lilith repeated, her voice soft and sweet like melting honey.

The man nodded, clearly mistaking her tone for fear or flirtation.

But—

Before he could speak again—

CRACK!

Lilith’s knee slammed straight into his gut, knocking the air out of his lungs.

"AHHH!!" he shouted as he stumbled back, and Lilith grabbed his shirt collar before he could fall and slammed his back against the opposite wall.

Her blue eyes were glowing now. Her lips curled into a devilish grin.

"You picked the wrong baby, darling," she whispered, tilting her head slightly. "Let me show you what happens to trash who touches me."

The man groaned and tried to catch his breath, clutching his stomach where Lilith’s knee had just landed.

"Y-You crazy b*tch!" he spat, anger flashing in his bloodshot eyes. "I’ll teach you a lesson!"

Lilith just tilted her head, still holding his collar.

Her voice dropped, cold and amused.

"Oh? A lesson? Then teach me, idiot."

The man growled like a wild animal and swung his fist straight toward her face.

But—

Too slow.

Lilith ducked easily, and his punch hit nothing but air. He stumbled forward from the force, and Lilith smirked.

"Is that all you’ve got?"

She spun behind him and kicked the back of his knee. His leg buckled, and he dropped down with a loud grunt.

Before he could react, she grabbed the back of his head and slammed it into the wall—not enough to kill, but just enough to make his vision blur and nose bleed.

"ARGH!!" he shouted, now struggling to stand up, swaying as blood dripped from his nose.

"You little—!!" He roared and charged at her like a raging bull, trying to throw all his weight at her.

Lilith didn’t move.

She waited.

Waited...

And the moment he got close—she stepped aside, tripping him with one foot.

BAM!!

He slammed face-first onto the floor.

"Ouch. That must’ve hurt," she said, dusting off her hands as she stared at his sprawled body.

But he wasn’t done yet.

Groaning, he pushed himself up, face red with humiliation and rage.

"I’m going to kill you!" he shouted and ran at her again.

This time, he managed to catch her arm.

He twisted her wrist sharply, trying to make her scream.

But instead...

Lilith smiled.

And then headbutted him.

Hard.

CRACK!

He fell backwards, stunned and dazed.

Lilith stood over him, eyes glowing faintly blue under the dim lights.

"You touched me with filthy hands..." she whispered, stepping on his chest to keep him down. "Should I break them now?"

The man whimpered.

"I asked you a question." Her voice was low. Dangerous.

"N-No... please... I was drunk... I didn’t mean—"

CRUNCH.

She pressed harder with her heel.

"Now you’re sober."
