Gu Qingxin allowed Xiao Yi to take the medication, but when she tried to get him to lie down, he immediately shook his head in refusal and looked terrified.

“He’s probably having nightmares. What did you dream about?” Beiming Han sat on the bed and asked him.

Upon Beiming Han’s question, Xiao Yi’s tears immediately began to fall, he had dreamt of his mother falling off a cliff.

Perhaps it was mother-and-child telepathy, the incident of Ye Yingsu falling off a cliff had appeared in Xiao Yi’s dreams exactly as it happened.

“Could something have happened to Shushu!” Gu Qingxin grew anxious.

Gu Qingxin hugged him tightly and nervously looked at Beiming Han, “What should we do? Has something really happened to Shushu?”

“Do you truly believe a child’s dream? I’ll have someone bring her back, then the two of you should be able to rest easy.” Beiming Han said.

Although Gu Qingxin was still worried, she had to placate Xiao Yi first. His throat was still in bad shape, he could not continue crying.

“Xiao Yi, good boy, don’t cry, look Uncle Han has said it, he’s going to bring Shushu back, we will see her soon.” Gu Qingxin coaxed him.

It took Gu Qingxin a great deal of effort to get Xiao Yi to fall asleep again, she also laid down on the outside of his small bed and fell asleep.

Beiming Han covered her with a blanket, snuggling her a little, making sure she wouldn’t fall out of bed.

Back in the study, Bai Jingqing sat there, looking at his computer, he was on a call with Xiao Jiu.

“What happened?” Beiming Han asked as he quickly walked over.

“Xiao Jiu said they got information, a woman was violently attacked by a group of people. According to the witnesses’ description, that woman should be Shushu.”

“What’s the current situation?” Beiming Han’s brows furrowed tight.

“Forced to jump off a cliff, fate unknown.”

Beiming Han’s hands clenched into fists.

Ye Yingsu’s fate was uncertain, and Xiao Yi’s health had taken another hit.

Gu Qingxin had not been to school recently and was taking care of Xiao Yi at home all day.

A few days later, Xiao Yi’s fever finally subsided, but he was still suffering from a sore throat and eating less than before.

Gu Qingxin was filled with self-blame, regretting that she should not have taken him to the amusement park.

Beiming Han comforted her, insisting it was not her fault at all, she couldn’t have known.

There was still no news from Ye Yingsu, Beiming Han decided to personally go to the place where Ye Yingsu had an accident to find her, for he could not wait any longer.
