“Dr. Lu, from now on, I’ll still have the nurse bring me food. If you want to order takeout, just enjoy it yourself. If you can’t finish it, order less. After all, this is a hospital. It’s better for the two of us to maintain a distance to avoid unnecessary gossip which could damage your reputation,” Bai Jingqing said with a smile.

“I only know you here. Of course, I would want to be with you. I can’t stop what others want to say,” Lu Wushuang said, shrugging innocently.

“In a new environment, you’ll meet new friends. You have to gradually adapt… This place isn’t as open as overseas. Rumors are never a good thing. I regard you as my sister, and naturally, I don’t want you to be misunderstood.” After finishing his words, Bai Jingqing sat down. Ignoring Lu Wushuang’s expression, he picked up his chopsticks and started eating.

Lu Wushuang felt a bit dejected. Was Bai Jingqing trying to distance himself from her? If he wasn’t interested in her, then why did he insist on having her work at his hospital?
