Chapter 531: Chapter 498: Destiny (Two in One)_2 Chapter 531: Chapter 498: Destiny (Two in One)_2 “Queen of the Night?”
Tamara was brimming with confidence.
“We’ll talk after you take this arrow of mine!”
Buzz!
The air vibrated as if a beam of light, making the arrow Tamara shot almost invisible on the retina–disregarding the distance in space, the green light arrow appeared right in front of Lilith.
Fast, extremely fast!
Even if Lilith could react, Green would not give her the chance.
However, at the crucial moment, Lilith completely abandoned her defense, tore through Green’s guard with ease, and her sharp claws almost split Green in half.
“You’re too weak, far too weak!”
“Is this the power you stole from me?”
“I’m truly ashamed for you!”
Lilith sneered mockingly.
But just as Tamara’s arrow was about to hit her, the ribbon tied around Lilith’s neck suddenly broke.
Snap!
The ruby on the ribbon shone brightly.
Boom!
For some reason, that ruby precisely blocked the trajectory of Tamara’s attack, and upon impact, the gem exploded into fragments.
But the shattered gem did not disperse into nothingness.
The red dust formed an elliptical shape.
In the center, a transparent film appeared, like a mirror.
“Swish!”
Tamara’s definitive strike easily passed through the transparent film; the formidable energy vanished without a trace.
“What’s going on?”
Tamara was shocked, but at that instant, she suddenly felt an inexplicable sense of crisis surge within her.
Without the luxury of thought, her body instinctively reacted.
Slice!
The air tore open, and from somewhere behind Tamara, a light arrow wrapped in green energy silently emerged.
Lucky for Tamara, she had evaded in advance, but even so, the light arrow struck her lower back.
Ah!
She cried out in agony, her own attack landing upon herself; looking down in horror, Tamara’s abdomen was now a bloody, gaping hole.
Without the protection of her muscles, her internal organs were exposed.
A golden leaf in the tiara on her forehead suddenly withered; Tamara stemmed her injury, the energy originating from her, but the damage she sustained was very real.
Before she could recover, a lump of rotting flesh fell from the ceiling–Sim was resurrected again.
Only this time, his form was even more grotesque than before, with very little resembling a human shape aside from the head.
He tilted his head, staring at Tamara, drenched in blood.
“Oh… it’s you.”
“I remember we had a bet,” he said.
Then he slithered towards Tamara.
Feeling the loss of energy within her, Tamara gritted her teeth as another golden leaf on her tiara withered.
Her wound instantly healed.
“You finally used that thing!”
“To hide it in the necklace, that was really unexpected.”
A mirror edged with a blood-red, unidentifiable substance appeared behind Lilith.
Lilith floated in midair, turning her head, but her reflection could not be seen in the bright mirror.
“Mirror, mirror, who’s the fairest of them all?”
“Haha.”
Lilith laughed heartily.
“That’s a really stupid question.”
“Hmm… I’ve decided to rewrite this story.”
Lilith turned her back, exposing herself completely to Green’s attack.
“Mirror, mirror…”
Lilith’s voice grew deeper.
“Who’s the most deserving to die in this world?”
She turned to her side.
Immediately, Green’s image appeared on the previously empty mirror.
The next moment Green’s complexion changed dramatically, he flapped his wings behind him, but the space around him compressed him like an invisible cage going mad.
The scene looked uncannily strange.
Green jumped and ran like a headless fly; it was evident that with every move, his space to maneuver was becoming smaller and smaller.
If this continued, it wouldn’t be long before he would get imprisoned.
Imprisoned in the mirror.
“Haha…” Lilith laughed wildly.
“”Reflect, imprison!”
“What level of artifact is this?”
Tamara’s complexion changed drastically, such a treasure could certainly be described as earth-shattering.
“And rebirth…”
Alessandro’s gaze fell upon the ceiling above, where the red substance seemed identical to the material on the edge of the mirror.
“Will these guys keep resurrecting indefinitely if we don’t shatter this mirror?”
A sudden thought struck Tamara’s mind.
If these people could be resurrected, then as the owner of the Magic Mirror, the Queen of the Night, Lilith.
Could she, too?
Considering that possible answer, even Tamara felt somewhat in despair.
Alessandro also suddenly understood something; he finally realized what Green had wanted him to find.
When facing such a treasure, numbers could not determine anything, just like how Tamara had almost died by her own attack in an utterly unguarded moment.
Aside from the three known abilities, could the mirror have other functions?
Like projection?
Perhaps the monsters under Lilith’s command weren’t truly resurrecting infinitely, but were merely projections made of energy.
As long as the original body remained alive, could their projections persist indefinitely?
Alessandro felt like he had guessed something; he somewhat understood Green’s reaction back then. If he and Angela were still alive, what would have happened then?
Could someone be killed by this mirror through carelessness, and then…
Seeing the frenzied and numb Sim and others, Alessandro felt like he had guessed the truth of the matter.
“Stop struggling, Green; stay inside the mirror and you can live forever.”
“Over the next 100 years, I will make you experience what it means to wish for death every single day.”
“We have a hundred years to be together now.”
“Just thinking about it makes me so excited!”
“Haha.”
Green’s injuries were healing, but his space to move was becoming increasingly restricted; even so, Green’s face betrayed no panic despite the dire situation.
“One wrong step leads to a whole journey’s misguidance.”
Sighing, one of Green’s figures stopped resisting and suddenly moved above another figure’s head.
A flush of determination crossed his face, and with a swing of his hand, he violently crushed the skull of another self.
“Ugh…”
A repressed scream emanated from his throat as Green’s eyes were firmly fixed on Lilith.
“There’s one thing you got right.”
“There is indeed a big difference between me and myself.”
Blood splattered and brains burst asunder, Green grasped his own spine, and amid cries of agony, he pulled out the spine of another self inch by inch from the body!
Green’s spinal column was significantly different from a normal person’s, the ends extended outward, and the edges were sharp like a living Bone Sword.
The bone separated from the flesh, and quickly all the flesh on another body turned into red Energy and gathered on the spinal column!
When Green, breathing heavily, stopped his action, he had an extra sword in his hand, about four fingers wide, made entirely of bone.
The sword’s handle was formed from his skull, the guard was the pair of wings on his back coalesced, and along the bone sides were red light blades formed by his body’s energy.
There was a red ring on the blade with a silver cross in the center.
Seeing this symbol, Gaharad’s complexion changed slightly.
“This is the Round Table Knights’ Sword of Inheritance, but how… but how could it be like this?”
“Madman, he truly is a madman!”
“No, he was already a monster!”
“There actually exists someone who would nourish a sword with their entire essence blood!”
“For a hundred years!!”
Alessandro’s cheeks twitched.
With the Vampire’s fearsome recovery ability, plus Green’s reckless madness, this could no longer simply be called a weapon.
A normal person would have the intent, but the body has its limits.
Only Green could do it, having two identical bodies and terrifying regenerative powers.
“This guy…”
He finally understood the true reason for Green’s weakness over the past nearly 50 years.
“It’s too early.”
With this weapon in hand, Green’s entire demeanor transformed dramatically.
He casually swung it, and the energy on the sword’s blade burst forth, instantly shredding the Magic Mirror’s lockdown.
With both hands on the sword, he stood it in front of his chest.
Through the sword blade, Green’s eyes bore into Lilith, floating in midair.
“This is the Round Table Knight Order’s Sword of Inheritance, and every bearer has the right to rename it.”
“I call it–”
“The Sword of Destiny!”
As the words fell, Lilith’s expression changed drastically, “Shameless thing, you dared to go inside!?”
As she spoke, her hand pierced through the Magic Mirror behind her and pulled out a figure!
