Chapter 439 - Chapter 439 Chapter 439 The Battle for Supremacy

Chapter 439: Chapter 439: The Battle for Supremacy Chapter 439: Chapter 439: The Battle for Supremacy It seemed that they had guessed each other’s intentions, as their directions surprisingly coincided.

Paladin.

The Pale Blood is what matters most.

Abraham closed the distance rapidly, arriving at the area where the Paladin and Bos were clashing within a few breaths. Without uttering a word, he ignored Bos and lunged directly at the Paladin.

“What on earth are you, get out of my way!”

Bos snorted coldly.

“Vermin will always be vermin, one must be conscious to lurk in the shadows. Is he your target?” Bos snorted coldly again.

“Today, none of you shall leave this place.”

The Paladin, dodging backwards, also noticed Abraham who had approached him. He was initially startled, but quickly sensed something from Abraham.

“So it was you!”

“Soul Devourer, you’ve been scheming behind the scenes!”

“Initially showing immense desire for this artifact, yet you withdrew from the deal on the very same day. So, this was your plan all along.”

In the blink of an eye, the Paladin pieced together the cause and consequence.

“How did you find me…”

“I see now.”

The Paladin sighed.

“You killed him.”

“For this thing, you actually went so far as to betray everyone to the Round Table Knights.”

Avoiding Bos’s attack, the Paladin glanced distractedly into the distance.

He saw Roger racing towards him, followed by three figures in his wake.

In the farther distance, standing atop towering columns, were another two individuals.

“Quite the grand spectacle, 6 Round Table Knights. Loke has nearly exhausted all the forces within his control. How many lives did you use to sate his hunger before this?”

“It’s none of your business!”

Abraham shouted back coldly.

“Any number of deaths would be worth it for that thing!”

With the distance now close enough, Abraham ceased his charge. Clenching his fists, his heart thumped wildly as a gap opened. The Pale Blood hidden within his body flowed out through it.

Abraham’s aura surged, veins bulged across his face, and his whole body underwent a significant transformation.

Because of Roger, his ceremony was not fully complete, and using all of his power would inevitably lead to his monstrous transformation.

“So you are one, too!”

Bos seemed to notice the conflict within Abraham’s body at that moment, and he let out a sneer.

But at that time, the power-inflated Abraham did not even regard him as a threat. Almost in an instant, he dashed in front of Bos.

“Get out of the way!”

Abraham’s pitch-black arm lashed out like a whip.

The air tore apart, compressing into an explosive boom.

Bos’s body reflected a metallic sheen, being the one with the strongest defensive power among all the Round Table Knights, he was confident in facing any enemy’s assault!

“A clash of force, who’s afraid of whom!”

He stepped forward, not dodging or avoiding, meeting Abraham’s attack head-on.

“Fool.”

Just as their attacks were about to collide, Abraham suddenly sneered coldly. His outstretched arm wrapped around Bos like a serpent, his whole body elongated, and almost in an instant, he was behind Bos.

A cold voice entered Bos’s ears.

“Have you grown a brain yet?”

“Didn’t you hear how he just addressed me?”

“Soul Devourer…”

The word flashed through Bos’s mind, and in the next moment, he felt as if struck by lightning. Abraham’s palm gently covered his head.

Boom!

Bos was flung away by a powerful force. In midair, he turned his head in shock only to see his own body floating.

“What’s going on?”

“My body, my…”

Bos lowered his head, saw his own transparent hands, and in that instant, he seemed to understand something.

“This is a soul attack.”

“Damn it.”

Perched atop the stone pillar, Gerant’s brows furrowed.

He was an ordinary-looking young man, whose outward appearance betrayed not a whisper of a Transcendent’s aura.

“Bos has encountered his most troublesome enemy, that hidden figure mastering soul attacks–a method which happens to be Bos’s weakness.”

“Having been through several Inheritance Ceremonies, his body and soul already have difficulty coexisting. The opponent seized the opportunity and induced a state of spirit disconnection.”

“Don’t worry.”

Lancelot was unconcerned.

“This is our territory, they can’t escape. Consuming them slowly will also prevent pushing them too hard and causing casualties among our own.”

“Tell everyone to be careful.”

Lancelot instructed.

Gerant nodded, extended his index finger to his brow, and immediately a message was transmitted into the minds of all present.

This was one of Gerant’s abilities.

He was thus known as the Heart Whisperer.

“I’ll help Bos out.”

After speaking, a streak of yellow light shot from his eyes as if he had connected with Bos in his disembodied state.

Abraham did not pursue his advantage after repelling Bos; his aim wasn’t there to begin with. He turned and rushed towards a nearby Paladin.

“Give me back my thing!”

The Pale Blood within Abraham pulsed, also stirring the portion of blood that the Paladin had absorbed into his body.

The connection between the two seemed to reveal something to the Paladin.

Just then, Roger had already charged forward.

“Who says it belongs to you?”

Roger smiled, igniting a surge of rage in Abraham.

“Not only does it belong to me, I am also going to take the other parts remaining inside your body!”

Roger extended his hand, and immediately the Paladin felt an odd sensation within his body. In the moment his concentration wavered, a pulsing Pale flame broke free from its restraints and shot towards Roger at tremendous speed!

“Return it to me, give it back!”

Though he was the rightful owner of this Pale Blood, Roger had made preparations in advance while Abraham had just exerted great effort to activate the resonance between the two drops of blood.

Before Abraham could take control, Roger had already arrived and easily stirred the activity of the blood within the Paladin.

“I said this thing belongs to me.”

Roger, not even glancing at Abraham’s frenzied face, watched as the Pale flame flickered and sank into his chest.

Looking back at the others who had caught up, Roger ran off without looking back.

As long as he held this drop of Pale Blood, Abraham, lured by the scent of fish, was bound to show up sooner or later. The situation was too chaotic, with as many as six Heritage Knights having appeared.

Even with confidence in himself, Roger would not arrogantly believe he could take on six alone.

Especially when there was a Heritage Knight like Lancelot, standing at the peak of the Third Tier.

“Stop!”

“Return it to me!”

Watching his possession slip away once again, Abraham could no longer contain the fury in his heart. With a roar, he fully activated the power of his blood.

His stature sharply increased, and wings unfurled from his back as he dove towards Roger.

“You’ve taken yours, now it’s time to return what’s mine.”

Watching Roger in the distance, the Paladin gestured with his hand.

But after a second, nothing happened.

The Paladin’s face grew somber.

“Mist?” he said with a bitter smile.

“Tricked…”
