Death… And Me -
Chapter 3586: An Idea from Celis
Chapter 3586: An Idea from Celis
While still protecting themselves, everyone flew to the big sphere and began to sit down on the platforms around it. Meconth took the chance to warn the twins’ group. "When you sit on the platform, you won’t be able to work together to fend off the Yang Energy of this place. You will have to rely on yourself exclusively."
In the twins’ group, there were three who could have problems due to that. Rifindio, Elsie, and especially Royer. However, those three shook their heads, showing they were confident they could last for a while on their own.
One might be wondering why no one paid attention to Royer since he didn’t have a light of his own Universe. Well, the answer was actually quite simple. Royer was using his Divine Energy to make it look like he had one. If no one checked it properly, no one would find out the truth. This was something they discussed back in the previous region.
With that, each expert took one of the small platforms, and the lights under it lit up once they sent their Divine Energies inside. At the same time, the lights around the enormous gate also lit up, all thirty of them.
*Dang, dang, dang, dang...*
A gap appeared at the center of the gate, and an opening emerged. The gate slowly opened, and while that happened, the giant sphere shone with a gray light.
*Zom!*
Suddenly, each platform created a barrier around the experts who sat on them, much to their surprise. None of them knew that it would happen. Everyone immediately attacked the barriers, and weirdly enough, the barriers broke like eggshells. There was no resistance whatsoever. However, as soon as they did that, the giant sphere stopped shining, and the gate began to close again.
"So... we can’t leave the platform if we want to open the gate? Then how will we pass through the gate if we can’t leave the platforms?" Riraru, an expert from the F954 Universe, couldn’t help but ask.
"What do you all want to do? Do you want to stop?" Rerxes, another expert, this time from F949, spoke. "If we don’t do this, we will be stuck anyway. Let’s just give it a try and see what happens. Ignore the shield. Just keep sending your Divine Energies into the platforms."
Without any other choice, everyone sat down once again and sent their Divine Energies into the platforms. The process repeated, the shields appeared, and the gate slowly opened. No one moved this time. Not only that, they noticed something good. The Yang Energy from outside seemed to be blocked by that shield, allowing everyone to focus more on the usage of their Divine Energy.
Finally, the gate opened completely, and they waited to see what would happen next.
*Zum, zum, zum, zum...*
It was then that the giant sphere got out of the ground, being driven by the energy it received. A ray of gray light shot from it, going through the gate. The Sphere followed the light, showing that it was just some kind of path marker.
At the gate, a brilliant red light barred everyone’s senses. Only by the time the sphere passed through the gate with everyone were they able to see what existed outside.
Magma...
As far as they could see, there was only a huge ocean of molten metals. Behind them, the construction they were just now was actually just a tiny island floating in the middle of the magma ocean. Temperatures skyrocketed once again, now definitely getting close to ten thousand degrees. Even for Transition Realm experts, that was very hard to fight against for long.
There was a silver lining. That was the temperature they could feel with their Divine Senses. Inside the shields protecting the platforms, the temperature barely changed, and the Yang Energy still couldn’t enter.
As the sphere moved forward, anyone with a brain cell would understand, so Meconth spoke. "We will have to work together here. I don’t know which rules this thing operates on, but chances are that if anyone here stops providing the platforms with Divine Energy, we are fucked."
Immediately, many of the experts looked in the twins’ group direction. The platform required a constant influx of Divine Energy. Doesn’t that mean they will be the first ones to run out of it? "You guys better not cause trouble."
Kentucky snorted at the guy. "Or what? You will come out and attack us? Sure, we will all die anyway, so what’s the difference?"
"Enough!" Roan stopped the bickering before it got worse. "If you have the energy to spend on this bullshit, you might as well use it to feed the platform."
"Hmph!" Kentucky looked away and ignored the guy who spoke.
Meconth nodded in agreement. "The little friend there is right. Besides, we don’t even know what will happen on the way. Just concentrate and take out the Divine Stones from your Spatial Accessories. Even if those little friends don’t have Divine Energy reserves like ours, they can make up for it with the stones."
"Errr..." It was then that someone else spoke, a woman called Xitaoi from Universe F950. She was the only other Space-Time Realm expert other than Elsie. "I’m trying to access my Spatial Ring... but it isn’t working."
"What?!" Meconth and everyone else was taken aback.
Immediately, they tried to access their Spatial Accessories, and sure enough, they couldn’t take anything from inside. It felt just like their own Pocket Dimensional Realm as if the laws necessary for it to work had no effect in this place. "This makes things complicated..."
Roan and the others looked into the distance, where the gray light guided the sphere, and they couldn’t see an ending. But then again, the Giant Sphere wasn’t using much energy to start with. One would wonder if this is a good or a bad thing since it might also mean this will be a very long trip.
"Listen," Celis suddenly spoke. If the conversation was about energy, then he was the expert there. "I have an idea."
