Death… And Me -
Chapter 3578: Only One Way To Go
Chapter 3578: Only One Way To Go
Royer looked at the twins’ group, bitterly smiling and speaking through Divine Sense. ’Why do they look so angry about you?’
They looked at Kentucky, who pretended to not see it. ’Who knows? Maybe they are just jealous. Anyway, the Devil is mine. Who does he think he is to call me fat?’
Royer then warned their group. ’Listen, I can’t do much. It’s like Gliabua said. I just came out of my Rock Shell Manifestation, so I’m weaker than a common Transition Realm expert at the moment. Well, maybe not that weak since I can use my own laws still. Nonetheless, I hope you have some pla-’
Before Royer could finish, Gliabua made the first move. If it came to speed, she was the most confident in that group. Kikan and Ernew even contacted her, giving her a mission. She was to capture Royer first and foremost, using the fact he was weak and couldn’t do much right now.
She wasn’t the only one. The Kikan, Ernew, and all the rest attacked as well. Only the Space-Time Realm subordinates didn’t make a move, as they wouldn’t be of much use with so many Divinity Realm experts there.
Of the ten Divinity Realm experts, Gliabua went for Royer alone. Elsie, as the only Space-Time Realm fighter of the twins’ group, was targetted by three Divinity Realm experts at once! They all thought she was the strongest there.
Ernew, obviously, took Kentucky, while Kikan and the rest went after Rean, Roan, Rifindio, and Celis.
Lightning Element and Laws flashed as Gliabua almost teleported from her position right in front of Royer. She intended to bite down his Core and make a run for it while the others got rid of the twins’ group. In fact, she had another objective. Take Royer and get out of there. She saw the trench ahead, and due to gravity, most would find it very hard to cross it. However, she wasn’t very heavy to start with, even in her Wolf Form. She was confident she could cross it by using the walls on both sides and her claws, jumping from one wall to the opposite one and vice versa.
"Shit!" Royer was indeed weakened, and he failed to react in time. He was the one who trained Elsie about the Sixth Stage of Weapon Intent, and he tried to use his own. Unfortunately, even though his Intent worked fine, his weakened core had a hard time driving the Divine Origin Energy necessary to manifest his Intent Weapon.
However...
*Swish!*
A sword and a scythe appeared out of nowhere! Bright and Dark Red Lightning, as well as the Major Laws of Light and Dark, flowed through them. Gliabua was fast, no doubt... But she was still not as fast as the twins.
A head flew off...
*Swish, swish, swish, swish, swish...*
It barely separated from its body before several more Elemental Intent Swords appeared, slicing it like some vegetable on the table. Gliabua’s Core was destroyed, and not even her soul remained. Until the very end, she couldn’t believe someone in this place was faster than she was.
Those who saw it with their Divine Senses were terrified. Kikan quickly stopped in his tracks. He went after the twins, but they moved faster than he ever could and appeared by Gliabua’s sides. He simply had no chance to stop the twins before they killed the Nanka Wolf!
Even Ernew had a bad premonition, but it was too late for him. He moved at the same time as Gliabua, even if he wasn’t as fast as her. Nonetheless, he was the second expert in their big group to reach his target. He wanted to kill Kentucky for the lake event.
Dark and White Flames covered Kentucky, and space warped for a moment before he flapped his wings.
*Zush!*
*Bang!*
Ernew just had time to see a big bird appearing in front of him like a mirage. He felt the power of space being used, which seemed impossible to believe since everyone had their cultivations suppressed to the Transition Realm. Too bad for him that Rean, Roan, and Kentucky could already use Space Power in the Transition Realm, and Kentucky was definitely the best one at it.
Kentucky’s tallons tore through the devil’s flesh, and his core was no different, all the defense the devil put up in that last moment meaningless. In front of Sky Energy, he was powerless. His laws of Darkness? Kentucky had that too, and Kentucky was once a Peak Divinity Realm Minokawa, which meant Kentucky had completely merged all Darkness Sublaws into the Major Law of Darkness, something a Late Stage Divinity Realm expert like the devil couldn’t do. That only happened at the Peak Stage. Besides, Kentucky also had the Major Laws of Light on his side to support his Darkness, just like Rean and Roan.
"Hmph! I’m the slendest bird in existence, fucker!"
In a split second, a Devil and a Nanka Wolf, both Divinity Realm experts, were killed. None of the other eight Divinity Realm experts, including the Camzotz Bat, could do anything about it. As for the Space-Time Realm guys on the back, they were already turning to flee. If even their Divinity Realm allies couldn’t win, what could they possibly do?
Kikan and the others also gave up at that moment. One move from Rean, Roan, and Kentucky was enough for them to understand they stood no chance of winning. Kikan’s bat wings became bloody red, and the laws of Blood gathered. Finally, he turned around and fled back. All of them did... or so they tried.
"So soon? How about you stay for a cup of tea?"
*Zrulrulrurlrrururu...*
Everyone’s eyes opened wide. Behind them, a thick wall of vines and roots took form, blocking their path.
’Divine Energy Draining Prison!’
It had been a while since Celis used this skill. His Domain was much better since it worked on all types of energy instead of a single one. However, this one could cage his enemies and absorb their Divine Energy at the same time, which was perfect for the situation.
Celis’s arms were now a bunch of vines, and they penetrated the soil, coming out behind the experts. He was already working on sealing the escape route even before the first move was made!
"Out of my way!" Kikan bellowed. His entire body turned bloody red, and it was like he himself transformed into a giant spear of blood. He was burning his Camazotz Bloodline without a care. The other Divinity Realm experts also joined with him, and they all attacked the wall of vines. As for the Space-Time Realm experts on the way, who cared about them?
*BOOM!*
The entire corridor trembled, no one caring if it would collapse on their heads or not. Facing the twins’ group was guaranteed death, so it was better to risk it. If anything, making the corridor collapse might actually give them a better chance.
Celis’s eyes twitched a little, and he gritted his teeth. He was strong, but it wasn’t like it was easy to hold down eight Divinity Realm experts on his own, and that’s considering his vine prison absorbed some of the energy of the attacks before they even landed.
"That’s more than enough," Roan’s voice echoed, and the rest of the twins’ group flashed behind those experts.
’Red Death, Dragon Claws!’
’Red Death, Dragon Claws!’
’Celestial Bird Strike!’
Rean, Roan, and Kentucky arrived in a flash. Back before the Intent Weapons, Roan’s attack was the Three Claws of the Dragon. That skill was able to create two fake weapons that only carried around 80% of the original weapon’s strength, and no one was able to tell which one was the real one.
However, with the Sixth Stage of Weapon Intent, that attack evolved. There was no such thing as fake weapons anymore. Every single one carried 100% of the twins’ power. Not only that, Rean and Roan could both create ten Scythes and Swords at once! Ten Elemental Weapons made 99% of Intent! Thus, the Dragon Claws!
As for Kentucky, that was his normal Divine Bird Strike, but with his Celestial Bloodline evolution, he simply added the name Celestial to it.
*Swish, swish, swish, swish, swish...*
*Bang, bang, bang...*
*Arrrghhh!*
In an instant, five Divinity Realm experts fell, leaving behind only Kikan and another two. Those five who died obviously put their all in trying to defend themselves. It’s just that the difference in power was way too big; nothing could stop the twins and Kentucky.
As for the Space-Time Realm ones, more than half of the original twelve had already died, but not be the twins’ group’s hands. Instead, they were hit by Kikan and the others from the same group, who couldn’t bother to hold back just because those guys were on the way. The other six were taken care of by Rifindio and Elsie, although they didn’t kill them, only put them out of combat.
Kikan looked forward, together with the other two Divinity Realm experts who were lucky not to have been targeted just now. Yet, only despair appeared on their faces. Their combined attacks destroyed thousands of Celis’s vines and roots, but they were just short of enough power to break through Celis’s barrier. There was only one way to go now, and that was passing by the twins’
