Death… And Me -
Chapter 3532: Get It?
Chapter 3532: Get It?
"Well, since it is Elsie, it will be weird to use he or him, so I’ll just pretend I was using the wrong one so far and switch," Rean said. "But what about Ranka? I heard those experts calling you by this name." Sure enough, Rean didn’t forget that.
"Oh, that?" Elsie explained. "That’s just my surname, Elsie Ranka."
"I see..." Rean nodded. "Spirits with surname are quite rare." He had his doubt if she was telling the truth.
"Whatever," Roan wasn’t as interested, though. "We wish to learn about your Weapon Intent. This is mine." Then, he took out his Scythe, and activated his Fifth Stage of Scythe Intent, True Intent.
Elsie was quite surprised to see that, not because of the level of Roan’s Scythe Intent, but because of how stable and pure it felt. "You have truly mastered the fifth level, haven’t you? Your Fifth Stage is no worse than any other Fifth Stage I’ve felt in the past, including Divinity Realm experts’ ones."
Roan ignored the flattering. "So be it. I want to know more about yours."
Elsie shrugged. "And then what will happen to me after that?"
"Right, there is that," Roan waved his hand, and Elsie disappeared. He wasn’t the only one. Rean, Zangeshu, and the others also left the Dimensional Realm.
"Eh?!" Elsie was taken aback. She was now outside, and she could clearly see the twins’ group cultivations. They were indeed in the Space Bending Realm, with Rifindio having the highest cultivation at the Peak Stage. "You brought me out just like that?"
With that, Elsie could easily escape any time she wanted. She wasn’t confident she could kill them, though. After all, they managed to trick a bunch of Divinity and Space-Time Realm experts. They wouldn’t bring her out if they weren’t confident they could at least survive, or so she thought.
Zangeshu, too, was just as puzzled. "That’s what I want to ask as well. Why did you let her outside the Dimensional Realm? She can totally run away now."
Elsie nodded. Yes, Zangeshu couldn’t be more right.
"Hmph!" Roan snorted. "If she wants to leave, then just let her. The worst thing would be to force her to show us more about her Sickle Intent while being confined against her wishes."
"It would?" Rifindio, who didn’t use weapons, asked back.
Rean took over from there. "Weapon Intents are just like Laws. Even if we are comprehending exactly the same law, we comprehend them in different manners to achieve the same result in the end. Simply put, ’teaching’ someone else about laws was not the right way to put it. At most, you can show them what you know, and what they comprehend out of it is ultimately up to them. You can give some clues, ideas, and things like that to help, but teaching doesn’t really work."
Roan nodded. "It’s like the idiot said. That’s why I didn’t bother holding Elsie inside the Dimensional Realm. If we forced her to show what she knows in the end, can you guarantee she would be showing what we want to see? At her level, she could totally show us the wrong way to comprehend the next level of Weapon Intent. I would rather avoid that and show that she can leave at any time she wants. It wouldn’t prevent her from showing us the wrong paths, but at least I don’t think I would have given her a reason to do so, especially after saving her life."
Rifindio now understood it and was glad he didn’t use Weapon Intents. He didn’t even know what to do when he reached the level of comprehending laws. "I see... Thanks for the explanation."
Elsie went silent for a moment. Indeed, she knew they were right. She could show them the wrong way of doing things, even if she couldn’t exactly teach them. "Still, just because you saved my life, I think you are trusting me way too much."
Roan didn’t care. "So what? Better than nothing. So, will you show us your Sickle Intent? You can just go away as well if you want. That’s up to you."
"What if I actually try to kill you here to prevent others from knowing about what happened to me?" Elsie asked with a playful smile. Her Sickle Intent activated, and several Sickles made of Divine Energy appeared all around. No doubt she was using the next level of Weapon Intent again.
Roan completely ignored the threat, though. He just analyzed the Sickles. "Hum... have you got the same idea as me?"
Rean agreed on the side, seemingly completely oblivious to the threat as well. "It does feel like that, right? Could it really be the next level has no need for weapons?"
Kentucky joined them. "I say, I don’t know anything about Weapon Intents, but I felt them countless times during our battles in the past. This one feels truly overwhelming. It might sound weird, but I feel like I’m looking at real, material weapons, not weapons made of Divine Energy."
Rean and Roan nodded at the same time. "Your race has its innate ability towards detection of rare metals. For you to say you feel like they are real weapons shows just how advanced the next level of Weapon Intent is."
Finally, the twins looked back at Elsie. "What do you call this level of Weapon Intent? Could this be considered the Sixth Stage, or is it somewhere between the fifth and sixth? Maybe it is actually something different altogether?"
Elsie didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Her threat had fallen completely on deaf ears. Could they have ignored her any better than that? "Errr..."
In the end, she waved her hand, and all the Sickles disappeared in an instant, except for one. "You truly know how to kill the moment. Whatever. I can’t say I’m someone honorable, but I guess it would feel annoying to repay a life-saving favor with hostility after you showed me your intentions."
Elsie smiled. "Did you see what I’ve done there? Intent! Intentions! Get it? Get it?!"
"Hahaha!" Rean gave her a big thumbs up! "That was great!"
The others looked at each other, weird expressions on their faces. Well, Roan was just dead cold, as always. "Enough of this bullshit."
Rean shrugged. "Ignore him. He just can’t recognize when a Gem appears right before his eyes. That was a great pun."
Elsie approached Rean, happy to hear his words. "I see... to think I would find a kindred spirit here, one who even saved my life. Very well, I’ll give you a true demonstration of what the Sixth Level of Weapon Intent is capable of."
Yet, in the next second...
*Zush!*
Elsie seemed to teleport, using her Sptial and Time Powers to appear several kilometers away, laughing. "Or so you wished! Like hell I’m going to waste my time with you all. You saved me, so I will at least say thank you. So, thank you. Good bye! Hahaha!" And then, she opened a Spatial Gate, disappearing inside it. No one knows where she had gone... until ten minutes later.
*Zash!*
Another Spatial Gate appeared, and Elsie came out of it, smiling awkwardly.
"You came back faster than I thought," Roan said, disdain written all over his face.
