"What wrong?"Alex asks worriedly.

"Nothing."

"Say it!"

Damn!! It’s so hard to lie to him.

Mel took a deep breath, then she told Alex about the incident in front of the cafe.

"Have you found who send them?" Asked Alex coldly. He sounded angry.

"Not yet. I’m still tracking it."

"Tell me when you find it."

"Yes, brother."

"Little sister, take care of yourself. By the way, why did you go to B town?"

Mel froze.

She is sure that Alex will kill her if he finds out she went to B town with Andrew.

"Work. There is a project here. After my work finished, I immediately return to J city." Mel’s face turned ashen.

If Alex was in front of her, he definitely knows that she was lying.

"OK. Take care. Bye!"

Mel felt relieved after hanging up the phone.

Not long after, Max gave his report.

"Boss, I’ve finished investigating."

"Who?"

"Vivian, wife of Alan Tanner. Your stepmother!"

"That slut... she finally shows her true face!" She could only chuckle when she heard the woman’s name.

After so many years, she finally showed her true face.

But, why did she suddenly act now?

Does she already know that I met Grandpa?

Mel, shake her head slowly, too lazy to think about it.

She will take care of Vivian later, not now. Because now... she has a high priority case, tracking down GHOST!

"OK, noted. Send all the evidence to my email. And Max!" Mel’s tone sounds angry. "Never said Vivian before me. She’s an evil woman, and I don’t have a stepmother. Change it the way you address her. Call her Vivian the slut!" After that, she did some pending work on her laptop.

"Yes, boss. From now on, I will call her Vivian the slut"

"Mmm...good!"

Not long after, she heard the sound of the door opening.

She immediately stood up, walked to the door, and saw Andrew walking in.

"Mel, I’m sorry you waited too long. Are you bored in the room alone?" he was standing right before her.

They are so close.

She lifts her face to look at his handsome face.

Her heart just skip a beat and then started beating faster when she realized she was currently in the suite room alone with this dangerous man, gosh!

Her face felt warm, and of course, now her cheeks turned red like a boiled crab. She tries to hide her face, but before she does, her head already lies on Andrew’s firm chest.

’He hug me?’

’T-this this... Our first hug?’

Mel eyes are wide open in disbelief.

"Mel... please stay still." she hears Andrew’s deep charming voice in her ear.

"A-Andrew, are you okay?" Mel asked with her almost lost voice, but Andrew did not answer.

She shut her mouth and enjoy their first hug.

It feels so warm in his arms she can hear his beating heart and could smell his masculine scent. She enjoys the moment while close her eyes. It feels magical. After sometimes Andrew finally releases her, but his big arms still hold her shoulder.

They stare at each other no one talks.

Mel could see his hazel eyes shining. She was mesmerized.

But a few moments later, she came back to her senses. "Andrew, are you really okay? How about your meeting?"

"I’m okay." Andrew stroked her smooth black-ink hair gently. He smiles to look at her slightly pink face.

He still could not believe what he heard from his assistant Raymond before he enters the suite.

Raymond said Mel Tan is Melanie Tanner. This little girl who first stole his heart, and a few years later, after a long separation, she still did it.

Andrew could only gratefully for that.

He thanks God for making their fates crossed.

"Let’s have dinner, then back to the city of J." He holds her small smooth hand and brings her to the sofa.

"I’m not hungry yet..." She let go of Andrew’s hand and went to the fridge in the mini kitchen.

She took out the cheesecake and ice americano that she bought for him. "Andrew, this is for you..."

"You bought it for me?"

"Hmm... I thought your meeting wasn’t long." She can see Andrew’s smile grow wider. She couldn’t help but smile back at him, then she adds, "Try to eat. It is really delicious. We will go after you finished." Andrew immediately sat down and ate his cheesecake with a smile. He is in a good mood now because his little girl buys him cheesecake.

"Thank you, Mel..." he said happily.

"You look really tired," she said while tidying up her things, "Is it okay if we go back to city J now? Do you want to rest first?" She could see that Andrew was tired even though he tried to smile in front of her.

She can feel it.

"I’m fine. If we stay here too long, we’ll reach Grand Forest by midnight. Grandma will be worried." He didn’t want to give her Grandma a lousy impression.

Mel was touched by his mature thinking... "Then, we can have dinner in town, J. And... you don’t have to worry about Grandma, tonight I’m not going to Green Forets, I will stay at my apartment."

His face looks a little brighter. He nodded happily while eating his cheesecake. "Now I’m full!" He showed her his empty cheesecake plate. "Let’s go, will dinner in city J."

A few moments later, they were already in the car heading to J town.

Somehow Andrew couldn’t take his eyes off her. Now, he felt like he had just found his lost diamond. Andrew wanted to take a closer look at the diamond. He would do whatever it takes to ensure his diamond in his pocket and never lose it again.

Mel, who was playing games on her cellphone, could feel that Andrew was staring at her.

She stops playing her game and lift her head to see him.

Their eyes meet, she could not help but smile to see his expression... "Andrew, you’ve been stealing glances at me. Why?"
