She wanted to tell her, but Andrew said he would tell them directly. So she just smiled at her grandma’s words.

Grandma and Mel heard a commotion from the living room. When they saw Andrew’s parents and grandpa Will coming. They immediately got up from the sofa and went inside.

Mel immediately greeted them warmly.

"Daughter..." Lilly quickly said, then walked to hug her daughter-in-law.

But before she could hug her, Andrew stopped her.

Lilly paused and felt upset, "You... Why do you stop me from hugging my daughter-in-law?" She glared at him with her sharp eyes.

Mel almost choked when she saw her husband overreact. He was so fast to stand between her and Lilly. Now, she is standing right before her husband.

"Mom... My wife’s hand is hurt. You can’t hug her now...." He said gently but sounded like he was protesting to his mother. He can’t let his mom squeeze his injured wife.

All of them except Grandma Wu simultaneously looked at Mel, who was already standing beside Andrew.

Was she hurt? How could? And they all notice her forehead looks bruised.

"Daughter...why are you hurt?" Lilly looks at Mel with a worried look. Then she turned her gaze to her son, and in a flash, she slapped his shoulder... "Why did you let her hurt?"

Andrew speechless.

Lilly then walks in front of Mel and asks her gently, "Daughter, are you okay?" Mel nods at her.

"Granddaughter...are you really alright?" Grandpa Will also asked. His face was so worried.

"Daughter in law... be careful. Don’t hurt yourself." Said Arnold William, and he looked at his son with a stern look... "How could you make her hurt? Can you take care of her dearly?" He scolded his son.

Just as Mel was about to answer Grandpa and her Father-in-law, Lilly joined in to scold her husband...

"Son, if you can’t take good care of your wife, let her stay at W Mansion. Mom will take care of her." Lilly said, her eyes glimmered, thinking about being able to live with her daughter-in-law.

She really wanted to have a daughter but she couldn’t. That’s why she considered Mel as her own daughter, but sadly Mel couldn’t stay with her because her son didn’t want to stay at W Mansion.
