Chapter 324: Finally Safe

Mel’s brow furrowed and her face turned darker after a few minutes of hearing Zack speak.

"So you’re saying no one told you to approach my family?" Mel was confused.

"Yes. The person who asked me to find out about BW7 only told me that the BW7 case was known to the 4 founders of this country. And, I just thought your family is the weakest, easiest to infiltrate. That’s why I started from there..." Zack said.

Mel could see from Zack’s eyes that he was telling the truth. She quietly continued to hear him...

"After I successfully sent Vivian to join the Tanner group, it happened that she was pregnant. And...." He paused.

"Don’t stop. Tell me everything, asshole!!" Mel warned him with her sharp glare.

"My target changed. Not only do I want to get BW7 information, but I want to seize the Tanner Group. So, we framed your father by telling him about Vivian’s pregnancy... and you know the rest of the story." He looked at the little girl with a frightening look. But, the girl seemed unaffected. She was so calm.

"Old Man... did you know what BW7 is?" Mel asked. After hearing his confession, she was sure that Zack didn’t know about BW7 at all. This stupid lowly gangster only knows about money without knowing what he is looking for.

"No, I don’t know." He said cluelessly.

"Continue...tell everything!" She said coldly.

Minutes later, Mel felt relieved because now she was sure. All This time, Zack never told anyone about her identity as Mel Tan and Melanie Tanner to others, especially his contact at GHOST.

Zack had also been out of touch with the Ghosts for several months. Well, Zack didn’t know at all that his contact was the terrorist organization GHOST. And the last assignment he received from Ghost was a few months ago. He was asked to find out about a hacker named; Mel Tan. But when Zack realized Mel Tan was the same as Melanie Tanner, he hadn’t reported it to them.

Mel was relieved with this fact.

So the only one who knows her true identity is Zack. A malicious smile appeared on her pretty face. She will make sure that Zack will carry to his grave her secret identity as hacker Mel Tan.

Now, She was delighted. The heavy burden on her shoulders was instantly lifted and she can live like an average person. She is finally safe.

Shortly after...

She heard the sound of footsteps leading towards the room where she was with Zack.

A half-smile appeared on her calm face. Not long after, the bedroom door was forcefully opened from the outside.

Mel stood from her seat and walked past Zack who was still kneeling on the floor with a blank expression. His eyes stare at the tiles below him.

"Team Leader... Why are you so slow?" Mel smiled when she saw Mario was standing right before her with a tense looking-face. The look in his eyes was so sharp.

Mario felt grateful when he saw his sister-in-law was in good health. But when his eyes caught his purple bruised forehead, he immediately felt his body turn frozen. His elder brother definitely will kill him because his wife has bruises.

"Sh*t!! Why don’t you obey my orders? Damn it, Mel!! Why did you attack this place without us?" Mario was so mad that he cursed her several times.

"Jee... Relax! I’m fine, alright. Well, I’m done here... I’ll leave everything to you to clean up." She taps Mario’s shoulder gently and walks out.

"Miss Tanner... Please give me the antidote!?" Cried Zack with all his strength left. Now he feels his hearing, and his vision is starting to fade.

Mel stops her step then walks back toward Zack. "Oops!! Sorry Old Man, I forgot." She stabbed his neck again. "You will be fine now...." She lies. She has not yet developed the antidote. She just stabs him with an empty syringe. She chuckled while staring at him.

Before she left, she punched Zack’s face so hard until he fell to the floor and some of his teeth flew off. Then she half-kneed and whispered to him... "This is, for killing my mother...scumbag. And, you know what?" A sinister smile appeared on her face, "There is no antidote. Enjoy my present to you, zombie...."

Zack’s eyes open in horror.

Mel stood up straight and left Zack, who was slowly experiencing a change in his body. She walks towards Mario, "Brother... Please don’t say anything to my husband about what happened at this place. He will punish me if he knows...." She blinked several times, trying to entice Mario to agree with her.

But Mario ignores her. He instructs his people to clean up the mess in the room and other parts of the mansion.

Mel walked out of the room and was surprised when she saw her comrade. They all come to this place, making her feel happy...

"Anton, Bryan, Will... you all guys come here?" They all nod and smile at her. "Guys, sorry I attacked first. How is it... have you guys cleaned up the 3 people outside?" Mel asks.

They are all looking at each other, confused. From the information they received, this place was heavily guarded by around 20-30 fully armed men. However, when they arrived, they didn’t see anyone at the entrance.

They immediately swept all the rooms and found unconscious people. They seemed to have been hit by a lightning strike because their bodies were blackened. But they are still alive.

"We didn’t find 3 other people? We only saw your female bodyguard...." Anton said.

"No one!?" She was confused because earlier, she clearly saw that 5 people were not electrocuted, as they were not holding their cellphones. Two of them were Zack and the woman she shot. Then, where are the others?

"I clean them, Young Lady!" Irina suddenly appeared behind them. In her hand, she carries a gun. The weapon she took from Mel’s Playroom.

Mel smiled at Irina, "You did a good job, Irina. Let’s go. We have to hurry back to J city...." She walked past the XTeam member and headed to the first floor.
