Chapter 252: Caught in The Act

The Next Morning.

Mel was sitting in front of the TV in the living room while enjoying her fruit cake. There was milk and juice, various fresh fruits, and other healthy snacks on the table.

Since Lilly said her mother’s instinct tells her, she is pregnant now. All her favorite food has been replaced by any sort of healthy food and healthy drinks she never heard of. No more coffee, oily food, and too sweet foods that are usually consumed.

At first, she was against Andrew, but her husband and Lilly joined hands to convince her. Finally, she gave up after realizing arguing with them was futile.

But, after trying the healthy food provided by Andrew, she didn’t mind at all. The taste wasn’t too bad. So far, she has started to like it and enjoy it, like this morning...

She just realized that the taste of fruit cake is quite good, not inferior to the usual chocolate cake she eats.

While enjoying her second slice of fruit cake with her eyes glued to the TV screen in front of her, she suddenly heard Andrew’s voice calling her.

"Wife... The live broadcast of Vivian’s court verdict reading will start in an hour. You should take a shower and change into more polite clothes..." Andrew said.

Mel turned her gaze towards her husband, who had just come out of the bedroom. He was ready to go to his office wearing his suit.

She immediately stood up and walked toward him... "Husband, I’m afraid I’ll miss the chance to see that bitch... I want to see her expression when the judge reads the verdict." She laughed.

"I know... but you have to change your lingerie first. If you don’t change it, I might not go to the office, and we’ll end up in bed exercising for a few hours." His eyes scan her body from head to toe before saying, "I can’t stand to look at your sexy curve, my dear wife..." A flirty smile appeared on his face.

Mel wanted to laugh when she heard his words, but when she saw his face, her heart trembled. She smiled slightly and immediately tried to tease him.

She looked him in the eyes, and with her alluring soft voice, she said... "My husband, who’s afraid? Let’s do it then..." a mischievous smile appeared on her face.

Andrew’s eyes lit up when he heard his wife... "A-Alright, let’s go." He didn’t expect his wife to take his jokes seriously. He raised his hand and wanted to hold her hand. But before he could touch her hand, she dodged while saying with a playful tone...

"But what to do? I’m just kidding, my dear husband." Mel laughs then runs fast to the bedroom. The sound of the bathroom door being locked was heard.

Andrew laughed, seeing his wife run away so fast. He shook his head slowly while muttering, "Looks like we won’t be sleeping tonight. We will exercise till morning, my lovely wife."

Not long after, Mel was neatly dressed in her casual clothes. Today she will not go to the office. She will watch the trial and this afternoon she has an appointment with her mother-in-law.

They will go fitting the dress she will wear for the cocktail party after the wedding, and they also plan to visit the beauty spa.

Since she left this country with her late mother, she never went to the mall with her again. The chance to go out with Lilly made her childhood memories come back to her mind. And she was so excited and looking forward to it.

"Wife, I’ve asked Irina to prepare a lot of snacks for you. You can watch the news with ease. And, before you go to see mom, make sure you tell me first, alright..." He held her hand while walking toward the elevator.

"Thanks, husband... alright, I will do as you say." Mel hugged her husband, not wanting to let him go. After some time, she released her hug. Before she could go, her husband kissed her passionately in the front elevator until the door opened.

She felt her husband slowly released his kiss when she could barely breathe. Her feet felt limb, but she still stood because now Andrew’s strong arms held her hips to keep her from falling.

After she could breathe regularly and stand up straight, Mel let go of his arms. But within seconds, she almost fainted when she realized that Raymond had been standing motionless in the elevator. His eyes were wide open as if he was seeing something he could not unsee.

Damn it!! Mel cursed in her heart. After that, she said goodbye to her husband once again and ran inside the house. This was a very embarrassing experience for her so far... caught in the act by Raymond.

Her lovely bickering moment finally ends up after Andrew goes to his office downstairs. Now she sat leisurely in front of the TV, waiting for the live streaming news.

Irina has also delivered some fresh fruit and cake to the coffee table in front of her. Now in the big room, there was only her. Her eyes were on the TV screen, and her hand was busy typing something on her laptop on her thigh.

Not long after, the trial began. The courtroom, which is open to the public, looks so crowded. Mel did not recognize any people she knew except for Vivian. Vivian was only accompanied by her lawyer provided by the state.

Tanner didn’t interfere with this matter. They just sent a senior lawyer to represent them. Just to make sure the trial won’t go sideways. They don’t care about Vivian. And as predicted, Vivian was sentenced to life in prison without paroles.

"You deserved it bitch..." Mel cursed Vivian, who sat in the chair of the suspect. Vivian’s face was pale with empty eyes like there was no life in it. She looks like an undead, the same as when Mel saw her in the detention house yesterday.

For some reason, her heart is so light... The person who made her family fall apart and who got her mother killed, gone. The source of her anger that made her have such strong revenge has finally ended tragically.

"Well, from now on... you won’t be in my mind anymore slut!! You will rot in prison, and no one will care about you."

Mel smiled happily, her eyes sparkling. She immediately turned off the TV and decided to swim because she was suddenly in a good mood.
