Chapter 197: Mel’s Penthouse

Andrew agreed with her. Their tastes are not too far apart. He also likes open space and doesn’t like rooms with lots of partitions.

"You chose this chandelier ornament? This completed the room mid-century style with a modern touch."

"Initially, I wanted to use Scandinavian style, but my interior designer said, why not try a mid-century style with a modern touch? After they showed me the design, I immediately agreed. That’s why my house was finished a bit longer than Hiro’s house downstairs." She said while looking at Andrew, who now stood still staring at a painting hanging near the dining room.

"My dear, I didn’t know you liked painting?" Andrew was surprised to see a few abstract paintings hanging in the living room and dining space.

Mel shook her head. "For the paintings, I didn’t understand at all, but the interior design suggested. So, I just follow their arrangement." Mel looked at Andrew, and asked him, "Andrew, is this painting good?"

She didn’t understand painting, but seeing the placement of painting in this room made her living and dining room more lively.

Andrew nodded, "Although this painting is not from a famous artist, it is quite good and fits in this room."

Mel was relieved because she didn’t make the wrong decision.

"Andrew, let’s go on a house tour...." After they saw the open space; living room, dining room, and modern kitchen. They came out to an extensive outdoor garden. This outdoor garden was made almost around the penthouse.

"You don’t have a swimming pool?"

Mel shook her head, then laughed "To be honest, I don’t really like swimming. That’s why I decided not to have a pool, but..." Mel dragged Andrew over to the other side of the penthouse, near the master bedroom.

"I have this, Andrew." She stopped next to the Jacuzzi in the corner of a beautiful garden.

"Nice. So if we’re tired, we both can just soak our tired bodies here..." Andrew looked at the room in front of the Jacuzzi with a naughty smile while Mel was glaring at him.

"Wife, is this our room?" Andrew walked to open the door.

Mel follows him behind.

Andrew saw a room that was not too big but looked so comfortable. In the middle, the room has a large bed with white and brown bedding. In front of the bed, there is a large flat-screen TV standing on a brown TV table. The table has the same design as the table on the side of the bed. The large glass window on the side can be opened as a whole. When it opened in full, the room would be merging with the pretty garden outside.

"Yes, this is the master bedroom. What do you think? Do you like it?" Mel asked shyly. Because they will share this room.

She adds, "I don’t know if this room suits your taste because your bedroom in your penthouse is modern minimalist while mine has a lot of ornaments." Mel pointed to the modern chandeliers hanging on the ceiling and a flat-screen TV. While at Andrew’s house, she doesn’t see any TV in his room.

Andrew laughs while hugging her, "Wife, do not worry. I will always feel comfortable whenever you’re right beside me. Furniture or other variables are not important. What’s important is you."

His words make Mel feel warm inside her heart. She walks to the walking closet, which is on the other side of the bedroom. The walking closet is reasonably large, twice as big as the walk-in closet in her room at Grandma’s house.

In the wardrobe, neatly arranged various clothes and bags from well-known brands. In the middle of the room, there is a large rectangular table. On the table were neatly lined watches and expensive jewelry of various types of precious metals and gemstones. In another corner of the room, there is a room exclusive only for her shoe collection.

Entering her wardrobe, Mel was like being in a luxury shopping center.

Mel stopped her track in the middle of the walking closet. She raised her eyebrow as if thinking about something.

Since when did I have this much stuff?

She saw that the room was filled with new items, and she felt like she had never bought all of them.

"Why My Wife?" Andrew was surprised to see his wife’s face change as if she didn’t like what she saw. "Don’t you like your wardrobe?"

"I Like, but I didn’t realize I had this much stuff?" Mel quickly asked Max to contact Hiro.

As soon as the connection was connected, Mel could hear Hiro’s voice through an inbuilt speaker in the room. She immediately asked Hiro why her wardrobe was already complete with the latest branded; clothes, bags, and shoes. She didn’t recognize most of the stuff in the room.

Hiro laughed before replying, "Boss, it was your wedding gift from Mother Nakayama. When she found out you were getting married. Mother immediately asked my advice to prepare a gift for you. After some intense discussion, she finally asked me to fill your wardrobe with branded goods you’d loved. Trust me, it wasn’t me who chose the brands. It was all mother Nakayama who chose it for you."

Mel speechless.

She clearly remembered she had agreed to accept some of the Hiro family’s car company stocks as a wedding gift. Why did mother Nakayama give her another wedding gift?

"Hiro, didn’t I agree to accept your family car company’s share? Why did mother Nakayama still give me a wedding present? I’m uncomfortable because I’ve received too much."

"Little Sister Melanie, please accept it, okay. Mother will be sad if you refuse." Hiro doesn’t want to argue with her. He knows Mel does not like to be given something by others, even from her close family members, like him. "And, Mother confirmed to come when you got married. She will stay with me."

Mel immediately smiled happily after knowing that her adoptive mother would attend her wedding party.

"Really? Wow, I can’t wait. I miss her so much..." Mel chats about other things about Hiro’s Family.

While Andrew silently listens to their conversations.

After, sometimes, Mel hung up the phone.

"I didn’t know you were so close to Hiro and his family?" Asked Andrew, who was currently sitting on the chaise sofa in the corner of the room, right in front of the glass window with a city J view.

Mel, who was checking all the cupboards, immediately looked at him. She walked over and sat beside him before asking, "Didn’t I tell you before?"

Andrew shook his head.
