Chapter 173: Mel’s Playroom (1)

Mel chuckled.

This young Russian man teases her, now she is tempted to ask him for expensive fees. But, after remembering that she also needed important information from the crime scene, she gave up her intention.

"No, Stefan. However, I need the information urgently. As soon as possible. Can you guys handle him quickly?"

After Stefan agreed. Mel disconnected the video call.

"Max, stay tuned for Stefan’s progress to apprehend that bastard Grigori. And, I’ll be in the Playroom, you know, I don’t want to be bothered by anyone, except my dear man."

"Yes, Boss!" Max replied quickly.

She walked towards the black door on the right side of the Japanese garden. At first glance, the room was just a small home theater, where Mel used to watch movies.

However, no one knows behind one of the cupboards in the room. There is a secret staircase that leads to a large windowless room. The room is Mel’s Playroom.

After Max gave her access, the cupboard automatically shifted, and a sturdy ladder appeared from above.

When Mel went upstairs, the room was already brightly lit, and some of the electronic devices there automatically went on. As if they all knew the master of this room came to visit them.

A large and sturdy black rectangular table in the center of the room, looking like it was made from the most robust metal on earth. Above the table, there are many lights, advanced cameras, and various sophisticated hanging tools.

On the far side of the entrance, lined up a glass cabinet filled with colorful liquids with tubes like the experimental equipment in a physics laboratory. In front of the glass, the cabinet is a work desk complete with two super-sophisticated computer monitors.

On the left side of the entrance, lined with black metal shelves. Inside the shelves, there are various strange tools that Mel usually uses to make sophisticated gadgets.

On the right side, there are shorter shelves. Above the shelves are many flat-screen TVs attached to the wall.

And near the entrance, there is a three-seater sofa, coffee table, and a small kitchen. And on the other side, near the door, there’s a small toilet. Mel usually lost track of time when she is spending her time in this room. Maybe it’s because she couldn’t see outside the room. That’s why she made this Playroom complete with everything she needed.

Mel was inspired to make this Playroom when she saw the Iron Man movie. Tony Stark’s workshop is so sophisticated. Makes her want to have a room like that. So, when she first built her ’Playroom,’ she asked her best friend in country M to make it for her.

She sat in her chair and quickly typed the numbers and passwords that appeared on the computer screen. Almost an hour, she immersed herself in front of the computer screen. Suddenly Max’s voice sounded, "Boss, an incoming video call from Mr. Andrew..."

She smiled. After typing some unique codes, Andrew’s face immediately appeared on her computer screen and all TVs hanging on the wall.

"My Wife, where are you now?" Andrew asked in confuse tone.

He was confused as he saw Mel sitting on a chair, and her background is a glass cabinet filled with various colorful liquids. And also many tools that usually sees in a physics laboratory. He had never seen that selves on the third floor of Grandma’s house.

"I am at home." Mel chuckled when she saw Andrew’s confused expression. "Andrew, you’ve never seen this room."

"Really? Where is it?"

"Near my Japanese garden."

"Isn’t that your theater room?" Andrew raises his browns, confused.

"Hmm, you’re right. But you’re also wrong." She laughs before continuing... "There is a unique path that leads to this room. It’s hard to explain. Later, when you come here, I will take you to see it."

"May I see the whole room?" He was curious after knowing that his wife also has a playroom to create sophisticated gadgets apart from having a super-sophisticated computer room.

He knows his wife has a talent for creating gadgets. And he was so shocked when he finds out that his wife’s highest income comes from selling super gadget technology to the military or to several developed countries, not from her Company MT Group

"Andrew, what hotel do you stay in, and what is your room number?"

Andrew was confused, but only for a moment. He quickly told Mel his hotel and room number.

"Wait a minute..." Mel said, then she quickly typed on her keyboard.

Not long after, the TV in Andrew’s room went on, and he could see Mel and the rest of the room from the TV. He could also hear her voice from the TV speakers.

Andrew is amazed by his wife’s ability to hack this hotel in just a few seconds.

"Wife, you surprised me again with your super talent. I am so lucky to be your husband." Andrew said in his charming voice.

"Please, Andrew... Can we call each other wife and husband after we are officially married?"

Even though Andrew often called her that, but until now, she still felt embarrassed.

"Why?"

"I’m embarrassed..." She said while hiding her face behind her hands. "It feels like every time I hear you call me that, my face heats up, and my heart flutters."

Andrew happily smiled when he heard his dear wife confess to him about her feelings.

"My wife is so cute..." He chuckled.

Mel raises her head to see Andrew, confused why suddenly he praises her?

He continues... "It means you feel blissful and also shows that you love me. That’s why you react like that. It’s not because you’re shy, my dear Wifey."

Mel is more confused after hearing his explanation.

This man is talking nonsense, she thought.
