Before the Annual General Meeting started, Mel asked Max to check Mario’s condition in the basecamp.

She was supposed to be at base camp today to visit Mario, but now she’s under house arrest by Andrew. So, she’ll just have a video call with him. After all, Mario’s condition is still severe. He can’t be visited directly.

"Boss, Mr. Mario is conscious, and his mental condition has begun to stabilize." Max’s voice sounded in her ear. Instantly she smiled happily.

Mario, lying motionless on his bed just about to close his eyes due to sleepiness, was surprised to hear Mel’s voice coming from the TV on the room wall. He raised his head a little to look at the TV and smiled to see her.

With his soft and trembling voice, he said, "I-I did. But, I still have the power to beat you, sister." He laughed, but instantly his face felt so hurt from the tugging at his skin.

The moment Mel saw Mario wince in pain, her heart ached. Instantly her anger welled up from within her chest, wanting to take revenge on the perpetrators who had tortured him. However, she didn’t want to show her anger and sadness before him, afraid that he would feel even more sad and depressed.

She smiled at him, "Don’t get up, brother, stay in bed. I can still see you clearly, even if you lie down." Mel quickly forbade him. Because at this moment she saw him trying to wake up, but his face was holding back the pain.

She feels relieved when she sees him give up and lie again on his bed. "Brother, get well soon. I can’t wait to beat you up." She tries to tease him.

Mario glares at her, then he smiles through his eyes.

Mel adds, "Do you remember what information they got from you?"

"Yes, I remember everything." He pauses to take a deep sigh, then he continues, "Mel, I’m really sorry. I spilled your name to them!" His voice sounded sad and regretful.

Mel was shocked.

But it wasn’t long before she heard Mario say again, "Don’t worry. Commander arranged all your security and said he would contact you soon. He has something important to tell you. So, don’t go anywhere just yet. Stay where you are now." He said while yawning.

Mel nodded while trying to calm her heart.

After talking a few things with Mario, she finally disconnected the video call after realizing Mario looked very tired when talking. He is still under the drugs that make him sleepy.

Without delay, Mel immediately contacted Alex."Commander, just now I called Mario, and he said...."

"Little sister, calm down! Do not panic." Alex cut her off.

Hearing Alex’s calming voice, she slowly regained her coolness.

"Good. Now, I want you to do this..." Alex ordered her to do some crucial things to protect her identity from being exposed.
