Even though she’d taken a small dose of medication, Zhu Qianying still slept poorly that night.

"Star, your daddy has lost his way. You must be a good boy and sniff carefully. Help your grandparents find your daddy."

Yan Xu stroked its fur to soothe it, then rose to his feet to signal the officers in his team that it was time to set out.

Star circled the spot anxiously a few more times before trotting ten meters toward the dense forest. The officers, of course, quickly followed suit.

Star initially did a small jog since it was still sniffing around. However, after they had covered a few meters into the undergrowth, Star began to run.

Zhu Qianying and Yan Xu, surprised and elated, shared a glance before picking up pace to catch up with Star.

Star was running, barking all the while. Its barks started softly but grew louder over time. Picking up on Star’s urgency, Zhu Qianying and Yan Xu quickened their pace.
